Being a bystander to her incident I saw that her attitude was rude and nasty to all employees she spoke to. This is the worst Peet's coffee place ever!! The young kids don't know what French Press is, they make it so fine that you go home, make your coffee and drink coffee grinds... Then I go in and ask for 1/2 bag whole bean holiday blend, 1/2 bag French press, what I get is 1/2 bag crushed up beans in a full bag and 1/2 bag French press in a full bag. I wouldn't care but these were gifts and that just looks tacky. The shift manager Kimberly was nice and said come back and she would make it right. I come back and WOW, I am arguing with the little girl behind the counter at what whole bean really is, then some lady starts getting into my face and causing trouble, and come to find out the little Peet's girl said that was family and she didn't like how you talked to me, I was about to call the cops. Then I go to leave and about 10 people at an outside table all booed at me. I will never in my life go to this establishment again. I would rather drink Starbucks. read more

Super annoyed. Employee, male, said he could not heat up the blueberry muffin I wanted because they turned off their oven already. It was 4:25 pm. They close at 6:00. Asked if I still wanted the muffin. I said no. He looked super confused but never thought, maybe I should just turn on the oven. Talk about LAZY!!!!! So I just went to Starbucks and got the blueberry muffin I wanted, heated. The drinks are way better at Starbucks anyways so I guess it's a win for me and for the lazy guy working at Peet's. read more

This seems to be one of the few Peet's locations within San Jose. Since I was fairly close, it seemed easy enough. The weather has been amazingly warm for winter, and I ended up wanting a Mocha Freddo. Service was good with a slight delay to take my order. The woman who took my order asked if I wanted 2% milk, and I replied that I wanted to try the soy milk--cow's milk allergy can be problematic. There were seats indoors as well as outdoors but I took the Freddo to go. it's not a huge location, but it's similar in size to the Starbucks down the road near PayLess Shoes. read more

The smoothest coffee of all the chains stores. Unfortunately, where I live we only have one in a very inconvenient location. When we come home, we try and get our fill before returning. This location is in an odd place in the parking lot which makes it harder to get to for people looking for a quick stop and go. Although, for people looking for a place to sit and savor your coffee and read the newspaper, this location is perfect. It's a nice store with a great local vibe. read more

The Camden store has been great since they opened many years ago. during these time of Covid and the delta strain, Santa Clara county has reinstated wearing a mask in all indoor settings. This particular location has a sign on their door reminding patrons to mask up. unfortunately, several people today came into the store for the 5 minutes I was waiting for my coffee and were not wearing a mask. I asked a barista about that, she answered she was not concerned as she was wearing a mask. I understand how she may believe she is safe from these unmasked people, but there is too high a risk of getting this disease and dying from it, that retail establishments, including Peets, to require masks or refuse any service. Comon folks, protect yourself and others by getting vaccinated and wear a (expletive) mask. read more

This is my neighborhood Peet's so I go here a lot. The line is always long but they keep it moving pretty well. They are very good about having everything stocked and if you don't like how your coffee is made they will refund you or remake your coffee without any hesitation. They are really great. read more

Great place and service! I stopped in here around their closing time to pick up coffee beans - despite the fact that they were cleaning up the staff was super friendly and helpful. They have a great separate counter for ordering beans, which was fantastic. Also, more importantly, you get a FREE drink of choice when you buy a pound bag. Both the coffee specialty drink and the beans when I brewed at home were great. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and clean. Will definitely be returning in the future. read more

I am usually very pleased with this Peet's Coffee, but today was a bad experience. There were far too many people for capacity in this place. The Barista on Sunday 11/19 with dark brown hair in a pony tail was very rude to me. Very rude. She was backed up on drinks and had a girl assisting her who was very nice. She obviously Doesn't know what she's doing and has very poor professional skills. Either that or the management need to control the amount of people the bar waiting for their customs drinks because after I got my coffee some lady turned around and dumped my hot coffee into my stomach. read more

Came here yesterday before my trip to Monterey to use the $3.00 Christmas deal special offer on medium drinks. Received my drinks and they were not even 100 degrees and maybe one pump of syrup in each one. What kind of freaken service is this nonsense???? I had to go home and warm up my drink and finally said forget it after drinking half. I don't care if it's a discount price but don't be cheap and half ass the work on your paying customers. Don't be disrespectful to your paying customers especially when you don't know them. I'd like for the manager to see this one and explain to me why their employees are doing this. I just started going to Peets, because my job isn't too far. I really have liked their coffee and the people there are friendly. I usually go to Starbucks, but now I look forward to my morning coffee from Peet's. It's yummy and has an extra kick that I usually request from other places. So, this location is nice. It's like all the other Peet's I've been to. Not many large group seating, but I never had to hang out there. Also I would prefer the garbage/sugar/cream counter to be placed somewhere more convenient. It's at a corner and when people are trying to fix their tea or coffee in the morning it gets crowded. Really only 2 people can be there at a time. If it were to be moved where people can be at either side of the counter then it would speed up the process. read more

I used to think Peet's Coffee was head and shoulders above Starbucks, but over the last few years, their coffee has dropped to average at best. I understand everything is more challenging during the pandemic, but preparing coffee should not too hard to get it right. The baristas at this location lack training (nice people) but I'm not sure if they really know what good coffee is supposed to taste like. Preparing a quality cup of coffee takes training and education. I suppose if customers don't know the difference, then I guess it really doesn't matter. Peet's should try to improve their image by reclaiming quality coffee products and service. I usually don't post reviews, but this has been my experience too many times as of late. read more

This Peets checks all the boxes and more. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the store is so clean and well kept Its a pleasure to be here, and of course its Peets coffee so it taste good, but also the staff knows how to make a good cup. This Peet's needs some new 5 star reviews! I go there almost everyday, I typically do mobile order and just pick up my coffees for my wife and I. Occasionally if I have time I'll order there and hang out outside for a bit. The staff has been amazing! I really appreciate all of them. They always ask me how i'm doing, I don't always have time to chat and am not with it at 0630 before coffee but I try to chat even if it's just a quick conversation. I don't recall the current Managers name at the moment but he's doing a great job along with every single barista i've met there. They are genuinely friendly cool people and I think that's very important for a coffee shop experience. They make great coffee too! My orders aren't typically that complicated but they make sure to get it right and have even offered to melt honey into my cold brew a few times when we ran out at home! If any of them happen to see this review, I'm the weird cold brew guy that comes in at 6-645 almost daily. You're appreciated! read more

Needed some beans & I was in the area so I hopped on in to this Peet's location. The line for drinks was long, thankfully one of the employees who was in the rear of the store saw me at the bean counter & walked over. I asked if I had to stand in the other line for just beans & he said no and said he could help me. Awesome! I told him the beans I needed & asked him what number they normally grind them on for the type of machine I had. He told me a different number than the other Peet's I visit so I was a bit concerned. Ground too fine, it'll go through my filter. Ground too course, I won't get the full flavor. We had a discussion as to which number was correct, mine or his & since he wasn't sure, he said he'd ask his manager. WOW! Now that's service!!!!! I usually get people (at various places) who are just too damn lazy to ask upper management questions if they don't know the answer. Not here! The manager comes out & has the same discussion with me and tells me that their grind # is what is recommended but many customers go with my # for the same reason of the grinds going through the filter. I want to drink coffee, not grinds! I know service like this probably shouldn't make my day but it did. Honestly it's because customer service, in my opinion, has gone waaaay downhill. Staff named Laurie (I think that's her name; I am still so grossed out I can barely remember)... Anyway, Laurie had this bulge on her left jawline. At first I thought: kinda strange face shape. THEN I realized she had a wad of chewing tobacco in her mouth! Holy crap, yuk. How did I know it was chewing tobacco and not just a strange face shape?? Because she had tobacco spittle running out of the corner of her mouth onto her chin. EeeeeeeeWwwwwEeeeeeee!!! Totally disgusting, And probably violated a million health regulations.
