Been here twice. Great service and really good hot food! My whole family agreed that we had the best breakfast this morning!

Went for lunch today. Service was nice. Ordered the proud bird. Looked less than appetizing when it was put on the table ...taste was mediocre but when a roach walked across our table...I was finished for good. Won't go back. To expensive...$15 for food a could not eat after I saw the roach. Don't waste your time and money. I didn't make a scene...just quietly paid and left. read more

I love Pegah's. Took my niece and nephew here a handful of times over summer when they came to visit. They loved it. Best BLT, chicken and fries! They have great biscuits and gravy too. Can get busy but not if you at certain times like early AM. They also have coupons in the Get 1 Free book that can come in handy. read more

Seems as though they would like to do your own reviews about what their customers experience keeping in mind we were on speaker with 5 others in household placing an order. calls were picked up and phone was then hung up several times before getting a fax tone the fifth and sixth time, we were all appalled so please don't lecture us or treat us as though there was nothing to see as we are all educated enough to know what it sounds like to be hung up on by someone picking up the phone and then hanging up you must be to busy to accept calls Subject: Pegah's Kitchen "Hi Tory I am the owner and manager at Pegah's Kitchen. My husband and I try to come here as often as we can. We visited on a Friday morning. We both happen to be off from work and the kids were in school so we decided to have a nice breakfast to ourselves and we couldn't think of a better place to go. Service is fast and coffee is good. Quite literally the worst service I have ever had. Food was fantastic.. the service was embarrassingly bad ... not sure the servers name because she never introduced herself , but we were a party of 5 and the kid had chocolate chip pancakes, there was a monte cristo and a Bfast burrito as well. My friends and I were here for a wedding and needed a place to eat. Yelp had good reviews for Pegah's so we decided to come here. I'm not a big breakfast person, but I had the AM Starter which was eggs, with a choice of meat, toast, and choice of potatoes, hash brown or fruit. The food was tasty, so no complaints there. When we first sat down somebody came to fill up our cups with coffee, then our waitress Stephanie came. The 5 stars is really for her. The night before we went to the Yard House and had a bad experience with one of the orders coming out 40 minutes late and no rhyme or reason or explanation. Stephanie gave servers a great name again. She was kind and courteous to everybody, made sure we were ok, our water cups were filled, had a smile on her face. It is difficult to find really great service when many people feel mediocrity is what's acceptable. She deserves all the praises that I have read about her and that I am giving to her as well. To management, you have a great employee on your hands, and she was what made my experience great. read more

Pegah's is awesome! We came in on a Saturday at 10:30 and had a minimal wait, even though the place was packed. The staff is really pleasant with a bit of "zen". I'm so used to breakfast staff being super swamped, stressed and completely impersonal, but not here. Our server was quite delightful and service was quick without making us feel rushed. We sat inside, but they have a very cute patio that we would've indulged in if the weather was right. Beware, the portions are huge and priced just right. We were pleasantly surprised. read more

My family and I were driving home from San Diego and needed some breakfast to fuel up for the day ahead. We found this gem hidden in Escondido. The restaurant was happening. The vibe was inviting and full of happy customers. Very clean and cozy. The food looked great from a distance as we waited to be seated. We were greeted with a warm welcome by Mary the hostess, our server Brenda was super attentive and the food was delicious!!!! Homemade, fresh ingredients and super tasty. The menu had many options to choose from. The manager Neema took time to talk to us and shared the history of their family owned restaurant. We will Definitely come back and visit again. The costumer service at this place is phenomenal. Stephanie the waitress was so sweet and helpful. The country omelet was good, but nothing special. I wish the gravy was a little thicker. I also had 1 piece of French toast because I'm still out to find the best French toast in San Diego county! The French toast was warm and golden brown, but doesn't make my top 5 list. I received a comment from Pegah Kitchen about how dirty nasty the floors are please look at my pictures that floor had not been cleaned in a long time. And the window sill had more dead flys there than over nite. But after going to the owner with my concern is what really bothered me he said stop saying my restaurant dirty this is my place so get out and never come back he yelled that thru out the restaurant he is a horrible person. As a restaurant owner you have to at least try to be nice we were in the back if the restaurant I called him over by my server who I must say she was excellent. And pointed out what I was talking about He got very angry because I was putting his restaurant in a bad light. I love the food there we went every week but he kicked us out. I have never been treated so badly by a restaurant owner that him. I never looked at the floor so all the times we when we enjoyed our meal, what made me look around was the nasty flys dead flys with dust all over them, that is why I know they just came there. Your other restaurant seems clean but I'm not sure because I was kicked out of all his restaurant. In front of everyone in the place and if you look I give good reviews as well as bad ones read more

My husband and I dine here quite often, for breakfast and brunch on the weekends. Every staff member is always super friendly and smiling. Coffee is decent and the french toast is bomb. Parking can be a bit of a challenge as there are only a few designated spots for the restaurant. If it's full, you have to find street parking. You pay at the register when you leave.
