Went to Pei Wei not having it before and had a great experience. The restaurant was clean and well maintained, we ordered 4 entrees and 2 appetizers and it was served to us as soon as it was ready. We received the vegetarian Spring Rolls and vegetarian Goyzas and they were both delicious. The spring rolls especially were cooked perfectly. I had a spicy Korean BBQ steak on the staffs recommendation with noodles and it was amazing! Some other dishes that we ordered were the hot honey chicken with rice, orange tofu with rice, and the sesame crispy tofu with brown rice. Every dish was great and cooked perfectly. The staff came and checked on us multiple times while we were eating and also brought us chocolate covered fortune cookies. Overall I would recommend pei wei to anyone looking for some good Asian food that will be fast but great! read more

This has got to the worst food I've had in years. First off, you order from an odd position as the server is also the expeditor (leaving you waiting to even place your order). We ordered our food to a not so friendly guy. Anyway, the food came out and my wife's chicken magically turned into steak (wrong order entered). Also, my daughters poke bowl had half of the salmon completely frozen. We only returned the poke bowl as we didn't want to complain about everything. They were gracious enough to take it back and make my daughter a different dish. I ordered the bourbon chicken over noodles and it was covered in an inch of sauce and not very edible. Ordered Kung Pao Chicken, as I've done many, many times in the past. At this location specifically. Sat down and what I was provided was NOT Kung Pao. There was chicken, but no peppers, no peanuts, no celery and no spice! The guy that took my order came around with some donut balls and I pointed out the issue. He stuck to his story that it was correct. But with carrot strips, snow peas and breaded (non-spicy) chicken, it was anything BUT Kung Pao! And for him to double down that it was...very strange. We enjoy coming to Pei Wei every few weeks and we are never disappointed. For a fast casual type restaurant, the food is cooked fresh to order and is always tasty. Staff were polite and checked with us a couple times. One of my favorite things is having leftovers and their portions always allow for that. So glad we live close by. read more

The last thing I prefer to do is to post a negative review for a business unless there is a significant issue that needs to be addressed by the corporation. To Pei Wei Corporate, please thoroughly investigate this location...freshness and preparation of food to begin with. Two of the items I ordered were not fully cooked and the chicken smelled rancid. One of the earlier reviewers commented on she and her daughter getting wicked food poisoning. Also, the food is not nearly the quality and standards that you used to have. If it's not possible to make some significant changes, my recommendation would be to close this location for food safety reasons. I'm sure the FDA and local food safety authorities would not approve of the food preparations and operations. It would take some hard work and effort to gain back loyal customers, but to put consumers at risk with potential food poisoning, is something to take a hard look at, especially if it takes a life which in rare cases can happen with food poisoning. read more

This is a great place to get a quick Asian dishes without going to expensive, Sit down restaurants. The atmosphere is always clean and organized although like any other restaurants they're having some challenges with staffing. Overall staff is always pleasant and helpful. My favorite is the lettuce, wrap, chicken appetizer. It is very well done, and it will make me feel good satisfied without having to order any other meal from the menu. read more

I placed a delivery order for last night at 5:30. No knock on the door no ringing of the doorbell. At 5:26, I look on my front porch and there's a bag. Not sure how long it was sitting there, but my food was definitely not hot. It was barely warm. Then I find out I'm missing an entrée and wagyu rolls I ordered. OK, no big deal. I call up thinking they're gonna make it right and send back my food they forgot which was their mistake. My total bill with tax tip and their five dollar service fee they charge for delivering it was $70. The gentleman who answered the phone says they can't send it back. I have to come pick it up. I said I'm not coming to pick it up. That's why I had it delivered in the first place and paid tip and fees to have it delivered. So then he says they'll refund me for the food they forgot.,I also said I want my tip and service fees refunded, which he agreed to. I still have not received any confirmation from them (email or text) saying they're refunding me and how much nor has it been credited back on my credit card. When I initially called, all I wanted was for them to send me the food. They forgot it and it wouldn't even have been an issue for me. I would've understood, mistakes happen but to not correct it by sending me back the food that I ordered and paid for is wrong. Unless their delivery driver went home, I don't understand why they couldn't send him back out to deliver the food they (or the driver) forgot. read more

The absolute worst Chinese I have ever had. Pure salt taste to everything. The kung pao was inedible- green bean ends were not trimmed and they were sooo old it was like trying chew tree bark. I had visited here many, many years ago (eg when they first opened) and more recently checked them out again. They have an app now and ordering, paying and picking up orders are a breeze. Love their rewards program and to help encourage folks to use the app, they are offering a free entree after purchasing a min of $8. What a great deal! We have been ordering and eating their pud thai and drunken noodle dishes and have enjoyed them. Customizing your order is easy to do (eg I added extra bean sprouts to my pud thai order). Was very surprised by Pei Wei after seeing the reviews but was really pleased. Ordered online (easy process) and the food was waiting for me as I arrived. I initially did their curbside pickup, where you text them, but they were super slow and apparently struggle with this. The sesame chicken was warm, good flavor, and good size portion. Ugh. It's really sad that sloppiness, carelessness, and apparent ignorance can so easily ruin what could have been a great, if expensive, lunch. We ordered the Thai coconut curry, the House Special chicken, spring rolls, crab cheese wontons, and the steamed dumplings for dine-in. We were given a pager and told to pick up our food when it went off. We saw our appetizers, in open paper boxes, sitting on the counter under heat lamps. Then the entrees, also in takeout containers, but without lids, were placed on the counter, and the pager went off. The appetizers were COLD. The dumplings were semi-cold, but at least still edible. The spring rolls were cold, pale and undercooked, instead of being hot and a delicious crispy brown. The crab cheese wontons were also pale, underdone, and cold. What kind of uncaring ...something...lets the appetizers sit there to get cold on the counter instead of paging us? Appetizers are meant to whet the appetite and prepare the palate for the meal. When they're undercooked and cold, it sets a bad tone. I wanted to speak with the manager, but BF said no, that if they made us new ones, he wouldn't eat them. He also noted that the cook immediately left after our meals were done. Ours were clearly his last meals of the day, and he couldn't be bothered to let our appetizers reach the correct level of doneness before slapping them in open containers (closing the flaps to retain heat would have been smart. Duh) on the counter to get cold. The entrees were warm, at least, but BF said his chicken was cooked in old oil and just not good. He had two pieces and threw away the rest. My curry with cauliflower rice wasn't bad, but I had to fill up on the appetizers that BF refused to eat. (I feel guilty about wasting food, and totally blame my mother for this.) If the wontons had been hot and cooked a little longer, they would have been amazing. The filling was delicious, but cold. But they weren't, due to the aforementioned carelessness and sloppiness. BF used to love the vegetable spring rolls. These pale, cold things were a massive disappointment. It was my first time at Pei Wei, and we will not be returning. Our entrees did cool off while we sampled the appetizers. Again, really stupid not to put lids on them to keep them warm, especially when you're forcing people to wait until everything, including appetizers, is on the counter at once. I got up and got lids. But it was almost too late. I don't know if this stupid, horrible, inefficient pager system and the open-takeout-box- under-the-heat-lamp nonsense is permanent or just a COVID-era thing that will go away. BF said things were better when they had table service. At the very least, with table service, one would expect lovely hot appetizers to come out first, instead of languishing on a counter in open takeout boxes. It's occurred to me that the staff's indifference may be partially due to their not receiving the tips that they would normally receive for table service. That's understandable. All in all, this pager system is terrible. Update: I reheated the curry for lunch the next day. It was very good. read more

We ended up drinking water for the next three hours straight after eating this food. Ugh. We drove pretty far from home to get here, and I guess that is why we didn't turn around and just leave when we saw the mess inside. My disappointment is immeasurable and my night is ruined. I have been a loyal Pei-Wei enthusiast since their inception in my town many years back. I can say with full confidence that this is hands down the absolute worst Pei-Wei I have ever had the displeasure of dining at. And I have been to many across the country. Starting off with waiting to be acknowledged by staff that would rather do anything but. Place is essentially ran by a bunch high school kids, not a single actual adult around, I could already tell where this was going. Filthy and grungy throughout, the floors were sticky like thick maple syrup or sticky nuts against your thighs on a swampy day. Tables filthy with trash and half eaten food morsels as though ransacked by a pack of hungry rats. The restroom was essentially an outhouse like one you would find in an overlooked campsite. Pungent, putrid stench throughout, water all over the dirt filmed sink, no soap and urine coating the surface of the floor. Went to get a high chair for my kids only to be met with a stack of sticky food and rice splattered on every-single-one, looks like they haven't cleaned those in a good minute (surprise!).. The food was a dead and uninspiring disgusting repulsive mush. No balance or flavor to be found, just too much of the wrong kind on every metric. Overcooked chicken, undercooked rice, old wilted garnishes all doused in a sour rotten tasting wine drizzle. I took a few bites before ultimately dry-heaving uncontrollably and proceeding to immediately throw my entire plate into their overfilled trash bin. This is not the Pei-Wei I once knew. This place is absolutely miraculous in the way that it somehow manages to stay in business or how it's managed not get someone killed with the utter lack of care, attention to detail and abject violation of health and food safety standards. The average review here is a generous one star and for damn good reason. This is not Pei-Wei, this is not Asian, this is not a restaurant or even a rest area fast food pit. This is an utter disgrace and should be destroyed and rebuilt from the ground up with the abysmal state it has steadily been in for the past decade almost. Hire actual cooks, invest in your staff, improve morale, freshen up the place and just get your shit together for Cthulhu's sake! Come eat here at your own peril. The service is great and the restaurant is clean. However, someone here, in their review, mentioned "rubbery" chicken. I think they are using processed chicken meat that they pass on as chicken breast. During the pandemic some restaurants started experiencing with the processed chicken and some are still doing it. The Mongolian Chicken and Bourbon Chicken were both super rubbery, fried rice was way over sauced, and the noodles tasted like they just dumped loads of Top Ramen seasoning on them.
