I just had to take the time to write a review because it was THAT good. I knew it was going to be a bit pricey, but I had a lot of add-ons. It was $25 total, but it will be at least 2 meals. The protein and fruits (description in picture) were so fresh and they were so generous in serving size, see pic! The dressings were delicious and from how it looked/tasted might be made in house? It's so rare in this day and age to get what you paid for, so I thank you Tokyo Joe's. Definitely gained a new customer.

I'm not sure what the reasons are behind the 3 star rating, but I just tried the General Joes soup and they hit it out of the park. I paired the soup with chicken spring roles that were LOADED with carrots, avocado, cucumber and dipped in a peanut sauce. Oh, did I say that the General Joes soup was coconut curry based with avocado, green onion, a 6 minute boiled egg, rice and Black Sea salt. I rolled out of there, but man did I feel like I was being healthy without compromising taste. Try it out. I know I'm going back!

Stacks and stacks of dishes at each bin.

Food was delicious as normal. It seemed very understaffed as we seen three people total operating that day. Unfortunately due to that, getting food out took forever and there was dirty dishes stacked over at each trash location. Hopefully this location will fill any/all available open positions quickly. I've been a Tokyo Joes fanatic for years. When I moved to Chicago, it was one of the things I missed most about Colorado. The food is fast and delicious. The food doesn't weight down on my stomach -- instead it's energizing and filling. For the price and location, I think it's a fabulous meal and I'll always be a Joe's enthusiast. For this location specifically, it's my usual spot. They are quick, great service and always take care of me. I can order over the phone and they have it ready sooner than estimated -- love that. Yum.

This location is horrible on several levels. Let me get right to the point(s): 1. My wife's has several bites of crunchy, dried out rice. It was clear to see this was chunks of rice which had been smashed in the lid of the rice cooker several hours prior and then ended up in the steak bowl she ordered. Unfortunately, she didn't see them until she bit into one and damn near cracked a crown. 2. I ordered udon noodles, for the first time, instead of rice, big mistake. While I can understand some liquid being retained by the Noodles, my chicken and veggies were swimming in liquid. I went to the counter to ask for a bowl so I could drain the liquid and inquire as to whether or not it was normal for that much liquid to be retained with udon. The employee replied by saying, "Well, you never really know. It really depends on how well the kitchen drains them." Let me be clear on this...CONSISTENCY is what makes or breaks a restaurant, even a franchise. The fact I practically had a soup, and the fact the staff couldn't even ask if they could do something to make my order right tells me all I need to know about how this place is managed. 3. My daughter ordered a cookie with her lunch and it was inedible. The entire thing had burnt edges and portions of it were so hard I was able to literally pound it on a metal table and it wouldn't break. Again, not a single staff person would offer to do anything about it, claiming, "Well, the middle looks alright. Sometimes the oven just over cooks the edges. They're all like that." Thanks for nothing Tokyo Joe's. I spent $27 on three meals and not a single one of them was entirely edible. Nothing else to be said here except STAY AWAY!

I recommend planning ahead with a reservation, as they can get busy during a dinner rush. We were visiting Colorado for a quick weekend trip and were floored by the food here. While the rolls all sounded great, we opted for an omakase experience. It is priced at market value, so I imagine this could vary over time, but they had three tiers for omakase, which I thought were all fairly priced for the amount of food included. We opted for the highest tier, which was $120 pp, and it was incredibly filling with high quality cuts of fish and a thoughtfully curated menu. The sushi chef who took care of us was incredibly kind, and it was clear he put a lot of care into the food he prepared. If you're on the fence, hop off and make that reservation and come hungry for the omakase experience!

The sushi menu is tiny compared to any legitimate sushi spot, and the menu itself was filthy. Not "a little worn," actually dirty. First impressions matter, and this place failed immediately. There was also zero indication whether you seat yourself or wait to be seated, so customers are left awkwardly standing around wondering what's going on. To make things worse, the entrance feels bizarre and rundown, like you're sneaking into the back of a storage building instead of entering a restaurant. If you want real wasabi, go to a proper sushi restaurant. This felt more like a watered-down imitation than a real dining experience. 1/10

The server did bring out an ice bucket to put it in, but it was way too late to chill the bottle. I scoured the menu for specialty rolls that didn't come with loads of gloopy sauces on top and didn't find any. I really despise Americanized sushi rolls that are covered in sauce, but I ordered 2 of the more appetizing-looking ones along with the new style sashimi and salmon sashimi. The new style sashimi was described as coming with cilantro (which is how it usually comes) but there was no cilantro in sight and instead they were covered in copious amounts of jalapeños. The cuts were also pretty butchered, particularly given the cost. The rolls were palatable, but entirely too big for my mouth, which just makes eating a bit like choking. I did receive a small complimentary dessert, which was decently tasty. The server was very friendly, but he sort of forgot about me in the end. With all these things in consideration, I probably won't be back. given the location, I would choose Makizushico for dinner over JP Nori every time.

When entering the door, diners are greeted by a big aquarium. It's actually a great way to stare at the tank and its creatures while waiting to be seated. A table of 8 was arranged and set for us, and in a couple of minutes, we were escorted to our table. Colorado can be brutal in the winter, and this evening, sitting right near the door, I felt chills each and every time the front door was open. However, the heat from the above heater did keep me warm every now and then. As we looked at the menu, I realized there are a lot of options for us to choose. If one doesn't like sushi, they can order some other types of food including their dinner boxes, which a friend and I decided to do. My dinner box came with a small side salad, a choice of miso or hot and sour soup, and the main meal box. Other friends ordered various types of sushi, boiled fish, and a bowl of pork katsu. All enjoyed their food and said they would go back again to eat here. My box meal contained rice, 4 pieces of coconut shrimp, gyoza, a variety of tempura including shrimp and taro, and the main star of the box: salmon with vegetables. Everything was delicious and I did eating everything, but the taro tempura was so good! Perfectly cooked to where, when bitten, it was crunchy on the outside and had great texture inside. It's hard to describe it, and my suggestion is to ask them to prepare one or two taro tempura so that you can have the same eating experience. I was very happy to be able to enjoy a great meal here. It's a sad sight of animal abuse when you walk in and sets the tone for what's to come. Dirty plates, staff couldn't care less, and decor that looks like it hasn't been updated since the early 2000s just sealed the deal. Only decent thing? The hot sake--clean, crisp, and clearly the only thing being properly maintained in the entire place. Never again.

Once we were seated, a nice, young server came to us to take our drink order. Some opted for cocktails, others for soda, some just sipped on water. The selection of sushi rolls, hand rolls, soups, salads and appetizers is outstandingly huge. I was tasked with ordering for the group, so I rattled off 20 ish rolls that seemed good to everyone's liking. Seaweed and Kani salads made their way around the table, along with crispy tuna rice and tempura veggies - a great way to start! YUM! Then....the largest sushi boat I have ever sailed our way - filled to the brim with our rolls and displayed in the most fun and creative way!! I captured a video of the magic and 2.3 million people on TikTok seemed to like it as much as we did! The sushi was fresh, delicious and totally hit the spot. I overordered for our group (some ordered their own entrees) so we left with many to-go boxes for next day's enjoyment! Pricing is on point and reasonable for the quality and freshness of the fish. Our bill for all of us with everything was under $400 which was shocking to me! I will take off 1 star for service. I know our party was huge, requested a large amount of food and drinks, but service lacked. A space for us wasn't ready upon arrival (creating a wait/rush to push tables together for our party), our waters were never refilled, extra plates never cleared, cocktails/beer forgotten (which we didn't end up paying for considering we didn't get it), and the entire experience left us kind of disappointed - but willing to give the place another shot. Having worked in food service, I understand the issues associated with larger parties and the pressure it creates, so I'd come back - and especially for to-go orders! yum!

My friend just moved from Downtown Denver to over near this spot. Being a foodie one of my first…read morequestions is, "so what's good to eat around here?" He immediately suggested Sushi Den off Pearl as the go to spot. We had eaten at Temaki Den several times which is one of my favs when I visit. So I was all in. It did NOT dissapoint. Not only was the sushi top quality, but they had a wild selection of unique fish, and approaches to classic combos. We had some amazing Sake to pair with it. The server was outstanding and met us at our goofy level joking with us just the right amount. It's a beautiful restaurant with modern design and just casual enough where you don't feel like you have to be dressed to the 9's. Pearl street in general is very quaint and homey and walkable. I definitely recommend checking it out!!

Food - Excellent Service - Superb…read moreAmbiance- noisy when busy 1st time here on 6/21/26 in a great area "pearl Street" Had the garlic calamari, excellent flavor and so different than fried calamari, ''tis WAY better! Sushi dinner for main meal, imho best value! You get: Tuna, Yellowtail, Salmon, White Fish, Scallop, Shrimp, and Octopus nigiri (1 pc. each) - so that's 7 pieces, PLUS..... a choice of Tuna roll (6 pc.) or California roll (5 pc.) 12 or 13 pieces!!! Plus I got miso soup AND a salad! Pricy, but totally worth it for a Father's Day celebration. Gotta get back here when I can! Lastly, they have their own soy sauce, less salty, more flavorful, puts both Kikoman types to shame!
