Now y'all know I love Sinfull Bakery cinnamon rolls, but I wanted to try the ones here. The cinnamon roll here was doughy and dense. The vegan oreos base was crumbly and the filling was too sweet for my liking. Now, the pecan pie is divine! It taste just like my mum's (not vegan) one. The filling is maple syrup and the pecans taste roasted. Oh my goodness, it's so good. I didn't order one for Thanksgiving, but by that Saturday I called to see if they had any. Absolutely yes! I loved the taste. The service has always been the best. I walk in with a smile and am greeted with a smile. The ladies at the counter are patient and don't rush you when you're deciding. There aren't a lot of raw vegan restaurants down south of 45, but surprise, surprise, Natural Living has raw vegan onsite. I've only eaten there twice, and due to the limited hours throughout the week. I am only able to get down here on the weekends in the morning. I frequent Nokturne more as a vegan restaurant in CL, just due to the simple fact of the flexibility of hours. At Natural Living, I ordered the taco salad; it was vegan meat crumbles and veggies. There were more veggies than meat. A limited amount of dressing to lather the veggies, so it made the salad a bit dry, but tasty. I loved the peanut butter cookies on sale. They were my favorite. I love that they have a food fair program for organic fruits/vegetables from local gardeners. I'm not a big fan of organic anything as I feel that it is more of a marketing gimmick, but if others care about that, that's a perk. The program is very affordable. I've personally never tried it, but I always wanted to. The ambiance can be a bit off; the staff is sometimes nice, sometimes don't want to be bothered. The apothecary side of things system is just grab jars of what you want, and they weigh it, put it in baggies, and you pay for it. However, things can get complicated when there a multiple people on the apothecary side and there is nowhere to wait since the whole building is tight and small. Now the pricing; this establishment isn't the cheapest, but when you factor in the value of what you are purchasing with the quantity of goods, then you are getting a solid deal. They sell crystal jewelry, and parking is across the street. I always tell people I'm going to the apothecary, and when they Google it, they can't find it, so it is definitely a hidden gem. I would have given them 5 stars across the board, but with the very limited hours not good for the working class working between 8 am - 5 pm; they close at 6 pm, closed on Sundays and Mondays. I hate that, but I will continue to only come on Saturdays.

She had tables on opposite sides of the restaurant, but since they weren't very busy it didn't seem to be an issue. The food was good, and I appreciate that they have some options that you wouldn't find just anywhere. That's the kind of thing I look for in a restaurant. However there were a few places where they fell short. 1. There was no kids menu. This may not be a big deal for a lot of people. It wasn't a big deal for me since my toddler eats pretty much anything, so we shared. It WAS however a big deal for my 6 year-old niece who does NOT eat anything. They told my sister that they could make some butter noodles or take the harissa off of a pizza and make it a smaller size for her. She opted for the butter noodles which were bland and unseasoned. Then they have no salt or pepper on the tables so she couldn't even season them until she asked for some. It helped, but they still weren't very good. 2. The food is overpriced. It's good food, but the prices were a little steep compared to the quality. My sister and I discussed this later and we both had the same thought. We didn't understand why they weren't busy because they had the potential to be, and it just felt like they maybe were trying TOO hard. I would go back, but this wouldn't be a regular choice for me. I'd be happy to go if someone chose this as an option, and I might even choose to go back for a date night or something. I like the atmosphere of the place as well as how open it felt... I don't love a crowded space. Another thing I loved was the Smoked Caramel Bread Pudding. I'm surprised I liked it so much because I don't typically love added smoke flavor, but this worked! Listen, I LOVE bread pudding. If there's ever bread pudding on the menu, I'm going to get it. This being my birthday dinner dessert was absolutely fine by me. The edges were a little caramelized and it was absolutely delicious and everyone who tried it agreed. Give this place a try, but just know that you may pay a little more than what it's worth. It's still tasty food though! Also... try the bread pudding!
