I ordered two chicken dishes and one beef dish. The beef was terrible. Worst Mongolian beef I have ever had. It had a funny fish taste and I questioned if the meat was actually beef. The two chicken dishes tasted like fish too. Perhaps they used a bit to much of the fish sauce. The one chicken dish had zucchini that tasted sour. After a couple bites I became nauseous and threw the food away. The best part of the meal was the packaged fortune cookie I definitely will not order from them again!! read more

As a Chinese person who has had their fair share of fried rice and chow mein, this place sucks. Fried rice and chow mein are essentially rookie dishes. You do not screw up these two dishes. I placed an order and received a product that was greasy and flavorless. The fried rice was pale and tasteless while the chow mein was greasy and flavorless as well. Save your money and go elsewhere. I'm a picky Chinese food eater, and this place getting a 3 star is already pretty good compare to other Chinese food places here. This place is right next to my house, and it was a disappointment at first.... though they have gotten much better. Their portion's very big, and all the dishes are fairly cheap. But this is a kind of restaurant that you probably do not want to go again after going there for 3 or 4 times. This place is a hidden gem for Chinese food, my Mom took me here making a grand proclamation saying they cook like Grandma here! Hot and fresh, boy was she right! I have been here about 3 times in the past month and have opted for the dinner special twice, 3 dishes with a full pot of soup for $22.95. Full bowl, I mean like enough soup to feed 4 people, options of hot and sour (tasty), corn ham, and west lake (delicious). You have about 30 options to choose from for your 3 dinner dishes, ranging from seafood, claypots, beef, chicken, pork, and veggie dishes. Personally I have tried the rockcod clay pot, beef stew claypot, peking style spare ribs, eggplant, and green beans. No complaints. Portions are huge and everything is served hot. Came back here once for the lunch special, about 6.95ish for the house soup, fried rice/chow mein, entree. Surprisingly still a huge portion! Service is about average, Sypnosis I just wish they would put a radio or Pandora on, since its a bit quiet, besides that I definitely will be back for the dinner special and the flavorful HOT food. read more

You cannot believe how happy we were to learn that the restaurant was owned by the same family from the old China Delight. We ordered the dinner special promotion where you can choose 3 dishes for $25.95. We chose the fried fish with corn, Peking spareribs and spicy eggplant. They also gave us a choice of soup and we went with the hot & sour. I was surprised since it says takeout orders don't get soup. Rice is an extra charge like most Chinese restaurants. The meal brought us back 7 years and was excellent! It tasted exactly like the old days when we would go to China Delight and the walk over to Loard's next door for an ice cream. We already went back for another round of take out and one dine in in the span of 9 days. I will say that the portions are smaller but the prices have stayed about the same. read more

Peking Delight is mediocre at best. I have tried it twice. Nothing really stood out for me either time. We order the Won ton Soup, Chicken with Vegetables, Broccoli Beef and Fried Rice. The sauces to all the dishes taste the safe and some were even bland. The restaurant is a nice cozy, little place in a strip mall and the food here is cheap but there are much better Chinese places around the area. Also, if you order take out double check your order before you leave the restaurant because one time I got home and they got my order wrong. read more

Was by myself so I felt like the server didn't think it was important to be attentive (for instance, I had to ask for soy sauce and chili oil, which every other table had already). The food is decent, nothing to really rave about. Its a small yet cozy setting, new owners really cleaned the place up. Service is great, fast and friendly. Pretty good portions, ordered chicken fried rice, kung pao, and general chicken which is enough food to feed a family of 4. Cost was about $35. Their lunch specials are at a good price (a little over $6), for the Tri Valley area. The mongolian beef was good, nice and spicy..but their curry chicken was way too bland. I have to take off a star for charging a dollar extra for brown rice. Come on now, anyone who's been to an asian grocery store knows that brown rice is the same price if not cheaper than white rice, so I don't understand why they have to charge a $1 extra for it. read more

The place is very informal, looks and feels like a Ma and Pa operation. The plates are huge and the prices are very reasonable. The food is great, very simple, and very flavorful. I have been coming here for years. The food has always been pretty good, but I've definitely noticed a difference over the years. The customer service has never been great and that's mainly why I'm posting a review. This is definitely a good spot to come if you want some bomb Chinese food. Came here for a quick bite to go. Ordered BBQ Pork Fried Rice. The rice was very good and not sticky with a generous to go portion.
