Cool little boba shop with unique flavors. Fun seating area with a comfortable bench and seats that look like hard boiled eggs. Cool video screen with some of the worst music I have ever heard. They show a video of people on a party boat with a DJ trying to act cool on camera. Great views of SF (Alcatraz and the SF skyline) ruined by wanna be's. Oh, no WiFi for customers. Other than that, nice staff and good boba but I wouldn't hang out here.

Love coming to this place, its got this club vibe going on with their huge theater screen playing hit songs and a lounge to sit if you want to chill and drink your boba. Besides that their drinks are amazing and the best part is that if you can't decide which one to get you can always get a split cup and have two totally different beverages. I love having that option specially when I want to try something different, but don't want to opt out of my usual favorite. Service is also great and fast, pekoe doesn't disappoint!

Vibe was great but went there for a good boba teas. Unfortunately the drinks are below mediocre. The tea barista was very helpful & quick with the ordedr. Pekoe special was not so special. One of the perk was their late opening though.

Came here afternoon after work w coworker. Wednesday. First time trying this franchise. Inside was pretty until you take a closer glance. Very dirty and messy like an after party. I like the big screen but my friend didn't like it. Workers really didn't have much to do except sitting in the back and looking at their phone ... could really clean the place up a bit. I got the foxy brown. Honestly both my friends and my drinks are pretty bad. Very watered down and the boba was not good. I do not recommend coming here. There are better quality boba down the street.

Peak Bay Area ambiance if you're looking for a spot to hang out. Pekoe is iconic for that lively vibe with a club setting, big screens playing festival sets (UMF when I stopped by), trendy decor and cuties working the cashier. The boba and tea is kinda mid unfortunately, the sweetness levels are inconsistent; I always order half sweet, sometimes it's still overly sweet, but sometimes it's way too bitter. They also don't have a good boba to drink ratio. I'm a big boba girl but I always catch myself not finishing the drink when I come by Pekoe. Would come back for the vibes, also love that it's open late.

My friend took my here because it's her favorite and I see the reason why. I like the vibes and the huge TV that plays music videos. Service was friendly (one employee on a slow Sunday). I ordered the Manly Melons fruit tea: jasmine green tea, watermelon, strawberry, mango, lychee, aloe vera & white pearls. I substituted the white pearls for lychee jelly and it made it better for my taste. Overall, the flavor combination did not miss. I highly recommend this drink.

3.5/5 rounding up to 4 Stars Stopped by Pekoe on a Wednesday afternoon and found it relatively quiet. Given it's vibe is more night-cluby and it's open later - unsurprising as I imagine the crowd isn't quite here yet. Service was very friendly and quick to take my order. They have the split cup boba here - which is FANTASTIC. I really wish more boba shops around did this as well for those indecisive people like me. We got the Pretty in Pink (strawberry milk tea with boba and heart jelly) and Pekoe Special (Earl Grey tea with boba and grass jelly). Both were ordered at half sweet (they don't do less than that) and already incredibly incredibly sweet. Only reason this place lost a star was due to the overly sweet drinks. Both were tasty but just felt a tad heavy / slightly artificial tasting. Definitely hit the spot we were looking for at the time but likely wouldn't be a regular instance since it's a bit much

Reviewing the fruit tea-- on the plus side, this place had quick service and the mango-star toppings were quite good. However, the fruit tea itself tasted artificial and had no real fruit pieces in it, although in the menu photo it almost seems like there are many fruit chunks. It also had a slightly bitter aftertaste. For the price, I would have hoped for slightly less artificial tasting

I always love coming here whenever I'm in San Jose as the drinks are always delicious. We got the pretty in pink drink and the manly melons/life's a peach split cup. The pretty in pink is always my favorite as I like the sweet and milky taste of the drink infused with a light taste of strawberries. I also like the strawberry gummies and boba toppings as it's perfectly chewy and pairs well with the drink. The life's a peach drink was okay as lacked the peach flavor and tasted more like tea. Personally wouldn't get that one again but the manly melons one was a high second place for me as it had a sweet and tropical taste which was perfectly paired with the jasmine tea and the agar boba pearls. Would definitely come back to check out other drinks on the menu!

Drinks were ok. They ran out of the drink I wanted the "Let's get high" and so I got "black dragon" drink. Maybe I shouldn't get 50% sweetness but it tasted like medicine. Will definitely get a fruit tea the next time that I come

I have to say the vibes at Pekoe are unmatched, especially at night. There is really no other boba place that stays open that late and is also lively at night. I love coming to Pekoe with my friends late at night. The service is always friendly, and the people are kind. Pekoe has unique drink flavor names and combinations. The star that is deducted is for the drinks themselves. For someone who enjoys boba, Pekoe drinks don't have an authentic tea flavor but are rather a combination of a lot of flavors/syrups. The main issue with the drinks is that they are extremely sweet. There is only a 100%, 50%, or 0% option for sweetness, and 50% is often pretty sweet. Because of that, I have opted to get 0% sweetness, which isn't sweet enough. I really hope they bring in a 25% option in the future! If you're looking for a late-night excursion in the Bay Area (where everything is usually closed by 9), I highly recommend Pekoe!

We decided to go here after a game of billiards from across the street. Since I'm a fan of earl grey and lavender, I ordered the Pekoe special in the regular size. The milk tea and toppings were average, but I was very disappointed with the little amount of actual drink that filled my cup. I probably got 2/3 ice and 1/3 drink. Definitely not worth the $6+. read more

Tried the signature boba here, it tasted artificial and diluted , boba was so hard to chew on .. not liking the drink at all. No hot drink on the menu. The whole decor and vibe was cute however, there is a huge TV screen almost covering the entire wall. read more

Got a split cup and a regular "fruit" tea. They all tasted super artificial and I couldn't continue drinking after the first sip. Overpriced even for the area. Service was good though and it seems like an upbeat late-night spot for teens and college students to hang out at. Drinks were 1/10 however. read more

Hands down the best boba place on earth. I've been to every one in the bay and sometimes go all 7 days of the week. The Pom star, kawaii, pekoe special, and foxy brown are the absolute best that I gravitate towards. The workers are always so welcoming and kind and it's a good spot to go after dinner for those who don't drink, like me ! read more

If you're looking for boba with a hookah lounge vibe, Pekoe is your spot. The person behind the counter was informative and was able to explain to me which drinks had a taste that was more similar to artificial flavoring versus which ones had natural flavoring and I really appreciated this. Sometimes I know what I want, but the cashiers don't really follow my questions and I wasn't disappointed when I ordered my boba with real peach! I only did 50% sweet and this was perfect for me. Not too sweet, but not unsweetened either. Will definitely be coming again! read more

I'm seriously happy they opened a popular boba franchise in Sunnyvale!~ pekoe is one of my favorite boba spots, I love the interior design, and the atmosphere, it's located in the plaza with lee's sandwiches, and nothing bunt cakes, so I'd say it's located in a good area. I ordered a "Melrose" it's a green tea with rose and watermelon chunks. It was a little too sweet for me but still refreshing. I can't wait to come back and try their famous creamy drinks! read more

It was a hot sunny day and we were craving for an ice cold drink. Since this place was near where we were at, we decided to drop by to get a few drinks. We ordered Thai Me Up, JMT and Fire Melon (no tajin but add boba). The place wasn't busy so it didn't take long before our drinks were ready. The only drink I tried was the Fire Melon and it was delicious. They use real watermelon chunks instead of artificial flavoring. The reason why I gave them 3 stars instead of 5 was because we came back on another occasion and asked if they can remove the boba from the Thai Me Up and put it in the Fire Melon drink and the girl said, "No." My son had recently gotten braces so he decided that he didn't want the boba anymore. I did explain it to the cashier but it didn't seem like she cares. For this price point, I am expecting better accommodations. After we received our drinks, I grabbed the drinks and left. Then I took a sip of my drink while I was driving home and the watermelon was sour. read more

If you're fine getting food poisoning, then this is the place to go! My friend and I went here on Friday, March 22 and I got the Taro Taro and she got the Honeydew drink during lunch time. 3 hours after I drank my drink the room was spinning and I was sick all of Saturday with body aches and chills. I am still on the mend (today is Tuesday). My friend was so sick, she had a fever and was throwing up. I don't recommend this place. Sucks because it's a cute spot but not worth the sickness. My guess is the pearls were sitting out all day long and they make the drinks in the back where you can't even see them prepare it. If you read this far, check the other 1 star reviews, someone found a clothing tag in their drink. read more

Not my cup of tea, but could be others. I had never been to Pekoe before and decided to give it a try with some friends. Upon walking in, it definitely feels like a nightclub with all the lights and the music. The menu is pretty simple with fruit teas and milk teas. I got the Yellow Mango drink at half sweet. They don't do any less sweet than half sweet. I was not very impressed with the drink as all I could taste was syrup. The boba was just okay, with the texture being soft, but a little too soft for my liking. I probably would not come back. Parking is easy in the shared lot. read more

FINALLY they've opened up a location on this side of town! The drinks here are always good and the taste and ambiance is consistent with the other locations. My all time favorite drink is the manly melons 30% sweet. It's fruity, refreshing, and the perfect balance of sweetness. The drink comes with white boba and especially aloe vera which makes the drink so much more refreshing. It's the ideal drink on a hot summer day or after a heavy meal. I would definitely recommend coming here if you like the drinks from the original location but don't like the line and wait from the original location! read more

I get 50% sweet and less ice. These drinks tend to be more sugary so I would pick less sugar levels as a default. Ambience inside is club lounge like. read more

I love Pekoe so it's super exciting to see them open up a new location! My go to drink will always be the foxy brown. Personally, I like subbing it with coffee jelly, but their black pearls are amazing! Their drinks are always consistent and delicious!! I always order their Pretty In Pink. It's a jasmine milk tea with bits of real strawberries, strawberry jelly, and pearls. They don't skim out on the toppings and the flavors go really well together. For the drinks alone I would give this place 5 stars. I really like the interior look. It gives off a very lounge vibe and it's comfy but I would hope our drinks can come faster. Even when there wasn't anyone else in the store, we waited 20 minutes for 2 drinks. This doesn't happen each time though. Some employees are super fast and I get my drink within 5 minutes, but it really just depends who's working. It would be nice if they served some snacks but anyways, I'll still come back here. read more

Nice ambience at this place. Stopped at 11:30pm on the way back home. Heard SJ used to be the spot for boba until it all started popping in Sac so we don't have to go to SJ. Have to say this place did justice to reputation. They didn't have any agar boba left but all the drinks were perfection. Got Manly Melons, Yellow Mango, house Pekoe Special. Pekoe was perfectly balanced milk tea with milk pudding. All of them get 5/5 and usually I don't give 5 easy. read more

Finally a pekoe that's open in Sunnyvale. I'm super excited that there's a late night boba place located closer to me instead of having to drive all the way to east side San Jose just for my fix. Unfortunately just like the other locations this one seems to run out of oolong quick. But the cashiers always recommend something similar and their menu offers so many other selections that'll make up for it. They're also attached to cashapp rewards so link up your account and earn some free drinks! read more

I haven't visited this Pekoe in person yet, I've just Doordashed it. Our drinks came pretty fast and instructions for toppings were followed. I think the price is reasonable for it's quality/quantity (the drinks are 24oz). I'm so happy to see that they have opened this 3rd location! Definitely check Pekoe out if you are in Sunnyvale or San Jose. read more

Walking into this new location I already knew it was going to be my go-to spot! The large screen and comfortable seats will make my friday nights with my friends a lot more enjoyable! Went to their Grand Opening at 9AM and there was already a SUPER long line formed already! But you know what, it was worth the wait! Line moved decently fast and drinks came out quickly! Surprisingly good tea, especially for those who prefer to chew their drinks. I got a fruity drink and my husband got a jasmine milk based drink and both were delicious! Not ideal for storing, though. All the stuff inside tends to change texture after a while. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes fruity chunky drinks. read more

Ordered (2) Pretty in Pinks no sweet, both drinks tasted like they had Dish Soap in them. Went to return them and the girl working the counter was extremely rude, reordered them half sweet since she said that they probably tasted like that since they had no sweetener even though I've ordered like that in the past. Her and the other girl working the counter walked to the back to talk shit with the guy making drinks in the back while ignoring the other customers waiting in line. 5 mins later I received my drink with a nasty attitude from the girl helping, as I left I watched both girls laughing and pointing at me while I was driving off. For anyone that's thinking about coming to this location don't bother. Terrible service, I will not return back. Also I found this piece of plastic in my drink. read more

He loved it - though it was a bit too sweet for him so he waited for the ice to melt a bit. Not sure if we could have adjusted the sweetness. Youngest got the Banana Latte and devoured it quickly. Fair to say I think she really enjoyed it! Nice that they are so close to us now. Will definitely be one of our go to for Vietnamese coffee!!

But once inside, it was surprisingly warm and inviting. The ambiance has an indoor backyard-barn vibe that feels cozy while still being very clean and modern. Some elements felt elevated, others felt a bit makeshift. I genuinely couldn't tell what the theme was -- futuristic? celestial? boutique-on-a-budget? I'm still processing. The front desk team was clearly well-trained and knowledgeable -- they had every answer, every stat, every rate breakdown ready. But the warmth? Missing. I was hoping for a little storytelling since I'd never heard of the hotel before, and instead got a very matter-of-fact "we've been here five years" energy. Efficient, yes. Inviting, not quite. But let's talk about why you're really here: the coffee shop. Completely different vibe. Two people working, both genuinely happy, welcoming, and quick. We ordered a latte and a matcha to go -- total was about $22, which made me blink for a second -- but then I tasted the matcha. Oh. The blueberry is not artificial, and its very light , not super sweet flavor that pairs deliciously with their matcha or lattes. I would recommend adding vanilla syrup to the latte and then adding any of their cold foams since the foam doesn't have much sweetness to it. They have a seasonal cream top which makes me want to come back to try every season! Given that it's an outdoor coffee cart, their drinks are high quality and always consistent. The baristas are super sweet and always helpful when I ask any questions or needed suggestions. There is plenty of outdoor seating, some that have umbrellas. Parking is super easy as there is plenty of spots.

This place does attract family and young crowd so may be a bit noisy. Also it's pretty hard to find parking in this lot. But overall still a nice option for a quick lunch!

Pekoe was a bit of a mixed bag. On the plus side, parking was a breeze - plenty of spots in the lot next to the shop. Even though it's on the main road, it's tucked away in a quiet strip of stores, making it a peaceful pitstop. Another plus: online ordering! It's super convenient for skipping the line. Unfortunately, when I visited, the store was completely empty, so I can't speak for the in-store experience. The downside is that all the seating is indoors - no outdoor patio to enjoy. Speaking of the order, I went for the "Pretty in Pink" milk tea with sea salt cream and strawberry chunks. The drink was functionally flawed. The cup overflowed, dripping down the sides. A quick wipe from the staff would have been nice. The drink itself was a mixed bag. The creamy sea salt cream was delightful, but the milk tea had a strange bitter aftertaste. The strawberry chunks were a bit too chunky for me, but they are customizable, so you can skip them if you prefer. The boba itself was decent, chewy, and flavorful. Overall, Pekoe Sunnyvale is convenient and has the potential to be great. read more

Finally opened a Pekoe by my house. Saved me some money on gas so I can spend it more at Pekoe. Went to their grand opening today. They had a long line. Service was super quick and drinks were yummy of course. Unfortunately I wasn't in the first 100 to enter the raffle. I did go home with BOGO and some yummy cookies. Did I forget to mention the OMG huge screen. Not your average boba shop here. Super upscale. Thank you Pekoe for coming to Sunnyvale! read more
