I love the peloton cafe! They have really good food and a good variety on the menu. There is usually a wait before being seated but it's not more than 15mins. It's very popular on Saturday and Sunday mornings because it is so good! I go every time I'm in San Leandro :) read more

The people here are the sweetest. Decor is rustic and warm. It feels really nice to be here. Unfortunately, the coffee is very watery (even for US diner coffee) and $2.50! And they have no maple syrup, just high fructose corn syrup. Ya know, this place wasn't bad, but it didn't wow me. I felt like it was a few inches above an IHOP. I ordered the number three breakfast which was bacon, eggs, and pancakes. All three were weak, it didn't have any of that "OOMPH!" that I need breakfast to have. I was underwhelmed. This was sex with Renee Zellweger as opposed to Jennifer Lawrence, it was not that exciting. I need my breakfast and brunch spots to be exciting like a sexual tryst, after all we are waking up early to eat out, may as well make it worthwhile. I wanted to look forward to that second date, to enjoy more of that lil sumpin sumpin that I dipped into the first time. I need that passion, that sensuality, that excitement that only a Jennifer Lawrence can deliver. Was looking for a place besides Denny's to eat a good breakfast and was kid friendly. I have driven by this place a million times and who would have known what great food was inside. The place was welcoming, clean and kid friendly. The food has great portion sizes. When the bill arrived we actually were suprised as not only are the portion sizes a nice size but the bill was actually lower. My family and I will for sure return. Went here this past Saturday, ordered a standard breakfast--chicken apple sausage with scrambled eggs. Food seemed decent at first. Five minutes into meal, I found a STAPLE in/on my sausage! Yes! That's right, a METAL STAPLE. I discretely told our server, who nervously smiled and said that was odd because they don't have any staples in their kitchen. So, was this was a rare occasion that a sausage was mis-packaged or processed with staples? Possibly. It was just an unfortunate situation, and the servers hardly seemed apologetic. I immediately lost my appetite, as did my boyfriend, who wasn't nearly half way through his meal. They still gave us a check! I was so shocked and disgusted in the moment, that we paid the check and left. Thinking back on it, our entire meal should have been comped, especially since we didn't even eat. If I could I would give Pelton Cafe zero stars, but Yelp requires I at least give a star. read more

been here many time during the week always good except today, 2/1/14 I t seemed that I didn't speak Spanish so I was ignored by the two young waitress my eggs two pancakes and sausage were cold no one ever came back to see or even ask how my meal was and I were happy. I don't see this as the cooks problem but waitress who really don't care . my food must have been hot at one point. so it must have sat in the window while the were talking to there more important Spanish speaking customers.
