We bought our used car from Nick Galloway, and he was so helpful and personable, getting us a fabulous deal on the price.

Our son has taken the car he bought through the sales dept. to the service dept for the required/recommended maintenance and told me how friendly they were. He even talked me up to Brent and ME up to Brent. So there was anticipation on both our parts. I was not disappointed and I trust Brent wasn't either. Brent immediately puts you at ease when you're first standing at the counter. I've never experienced such friendliness and confidence at any other auto dealer service desk, and rarely at any auto repair place. David, who sits next to him, is just as friendly. The oil change and vehicle inspection charge was fair and the turnaround time was quick--1 hour. Brent also had entered on my receipt the recommended service for next time and the estimated cost+tax. Oh, they also rotate tires for free on a specified schedule. This saves me from making a separate appointment at Costco where we bought the tires. Another added bonus. In this day of COVID, my son warned me masks aren't worn at the dealership. Well, I wear mine and I'm fully vaxxed and boosted and simply THRIVING with antibodies. So, I'm good. When I got home, I told my son and my wife that Brent and David were so friendly and conversational that it was like I was taking my car to a couple of friends who run an auto repair shop. THESE are the guys we're bringing our vehicle to for servicing from now on. At some future point they'll be servicing the vehicle we bought from the sales dept.

I had my brakes changed on my 4Runner at this establishment on September 2025. 5,000 miles later I show up for an oil change and it's lightly requested that I change my rear brakes as they have worn down to 6mm. Again, it was suggested by Heartland that I replace the brakes that they had already replaced 5,000 miles ago. The Advisor is great (he was merely communicating what was reported), and I'm sure the technician also accurately reported the pad thickness. So why was my pad length so low when Heartland had just replaced them 5,000 miles ago? I don't tow, don't go off-roading, and most of my driving is easy highway driving. Everything else on my inspection shows that everything with the car is fine, there is nothing with a caliper that might contribute to excessive wear. I've never even felt nor heard anything to suggest this wear. My car was also aligned and is not out of alignment. So what caused my rear brakes to wear down so quick (mind you, my front brakes stay at the same pad thickness from September 2025 to July 2026). Don't rear brakes wear at a vastly level of front brakes? Never experienced this in CO where my weekdays were spent in literal stop and go traffic and weekends were spent going up and down mountains past 10,000 feet in elevation. There, my brakes would last 2 years. At Heartland, my rear brakes got to half their pad length in just 5,000 miles. I attempted to call to further inquire about this inconsistency but was not able to get a hold of anyone. I'm currently waiting on a service manager to call (hasn't happened yet) , but also since this seems to such an anomalously absurd situation, I figured this merited the initial one star review. I'll revise if this is treated with some sense of acknowledgement or care. So the question is. What brakes did Heartland put on my car. Or did they even put new brakes on my car. I'm not some hard-driving rural cretin, my other car is a Volvo XC90 that I take into Seattle for service. Every single car of mine has gone over 250,000 miles, and I have had this car serviced at a Toyota dealership like clockwork, and I have NEVER encountered this before. This whole thing is confounding.

In 2024-2025, I reported an incident of "many"involving a Westhills Used Car Director that I personally experienced as physically inappropriate. I notified upper management, and I provided photos of the resulting marks to upper management. To my knowledge, the incident was not formally documented with HR at the time. As of today, the director I reported remains employed. I was informed that an outside investigator was hired to review multiple workplace‑conduct concerns involving discrimination and inappropriate behavior by long‑term senior managers. I am aware that two senior managers were later terminated, one used‑car sales manager was terminated, and one sales manager resigned. A sales employee who witnessed some of the incidents I reported told me they were never asked any questions about those specific events during the investigation. Instead, they were only asked about unrelated allegations. This raised concerns for me about the thoroughness of the investigative process. HR asked me what accountability looked like from my perspective. At the time, I answered with empathy. Now, after dealing with the impact of these experiences, my feelings have changed. I believe that meaningful accountability is important for anyone affected by discrimination, inappropriate conduct, or hostile workplace behavior. If I'm being transparent, they should be F I R E D!! Period!! I recently reported to HR several incidents from 2012 that I personally experienced as sexually inappropriate. I also provided an eyewitness statement describing what I understood to have happened during those incidents. At the time, I did not file a formal complaint because I feared retaliation from both the individual involved and the company. Based on what I know today, the manager I reported is still employed. These experiences, along with other workplace‑conduct concerns I have witnessed or reported over the years, have shaped my belief that serious issues within the Haselwood Auto Group have not always been addressed in a transparent or effective way. What I have personally experienced and observed reflects what I believe to be a broader cultural problem within parts of the car business at this company.
