Side of one biscuit and gravy. Takeout order. Plenty of gravy!

Had a hankering for biscuits and gravy. Did a search for that here on Yelp and it turned up several restaurants. No mom & pop hole in the wall places near Sandy, though, which is a bummer. They usually have the best and cheapest breakfasts. Most places charge around $12 for a couple of biscuits and gravy. Most come with two eggs. Penny Ann's Cafe has it as a side for $5.99 which is one biscuit and gravy. OK, so I order two thinking that I can do my own eggs for only $0.25 or so. One of these would have been enough. Fluffy biscuit and plenty of gravy. One of the fears of ordering biscuits and gravy is running out of gravy. Didn't do that here. And one filled me up satisfactorily. I guess I'll have some for breakfast tomorrow with my other order. The gravy was thick with sausage in it. Good stuff! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Went for breakfast on a busy Sunday morning! But these guys handled it well - got on the waitlist at 1020 - via yelp app- it says approx 20 min wait - got seated at 1045 not bad at all. Liz was our server and did an awesome job ! Served our water & coffee immediately and took our order. The restaurant was crazy busy but Liz kept the coffee flowing and just from what we could see the kitchen was BUSY so we were prepared to wait. Food was delivered to our table in about 25 min but you can tell it was hot off the grill ! Pancakes was missing butter but Liz got that immediately and we enjoyed both the pancakes Sammie and egg white Spanish omelette . The staff here are really awesome- weekends are busy so we knew there would be a wait. The food was served hot and eggs cooked perfectly!

We stopped by Penny Ann's Cafe to try one of Utah's staples, the scone, and had a bit of a mixed experience. My husband ordered the scone topped with strawberries, pistachios, and Dubai chocolate, and wow... it was absolutely amazing. Sweet, rich, and totally worth the visit, honestly 100 times better than my meal. If you go, this is a must-order. I went with the small breakfast (bacon and French toast), and unfortunately, it didn't hit the mark. We waited over 30 minutes after ordering, and when my food arrived, it seemed like it had been sitting out. The eggs were cold, the bacon barely warm, and while the potatoes were the hottest item, the overall plate just felt off. The French toast was also drenched in butter, which made it a bit too heavy. That said, Hector, our waiter, was fantastic, very attentive, friendly, and made us feel taken care of despite the wait. Overall: come for the scones (seriously, they're incredible), but the breakfast experience may vary.

We had a fantastic experience at the newest Penny Ann's Cafe in Sandy. We were happy to find the same PAC quality we've come to know and love. From the moment we walked in, the service was fantastic--we were seated immediately, and the coffee kept coming, always hot and fresh. We tried a new menu item, the banana bread French toast, and it was truly phenomenal. An instant hit and a forever favorite. The staff is exudes customer service and the establishments are always clean and welcoming. Just like the other PAC locations, this one is an easy recommendation, and we can't wait to come back.

Good solid diner food. I'd been to the original PAC shortly after we moved here because people went on about the pancakes. At that particular visit I didn't get it. They were ok at best. I am SO glad I decided to give the new location a shot. I get it! The pancakes are fluffy and golden. The cornbeef hash is perfectly crispy on the outside. We've been a few times now and it's always been great service and good food in a family friendly restaurant.

Trying a new PAC location. Same great coffee.

I think this is a newer spot for Penny Ann's but it still the same quality food and good service. Yes the wait time in an be longish but that's estimate to their quality service and relaxed atmosphere. No t much else to say except I've eaten at three different locations and they've all been good so it's definitely recommended.

    Hair in my undercooked omelette

It was a Bad first time experience here. waited about 1 hour to be seated ( table for 3 ) and 45 minutes to get my food at the table just to find out that my omelette was undercooked ; waitresses was nice ; the person at entrance was nice. Oh ; I almost forgot that I also found a hair in my omelette which I don't judge; we ain't perfect; but undercooked food put everyone at risk of illness. I had put this place in my Not to come back list; I'll rather go the Breakfast buffet at Golden Corral or go to a regular IHOP

    Updated menu!

If you want consistently good food you can't go wrong with Penny Ann's Cafe! We were excited to give this new location a try and we were not disappointed! The classics we've grown to love were the same and the new menu items are top notch! The service is always amazing and even when they are super busy you never feel rushed. This may be my new favorite location, I love the open feeling and the wrap around windows gives the restaurant a warm well lit feeling. Don't forget to check in on YELP to shorten your wait time and give this new location a shot!

I wanted to find a traditional French boulangerie in SLC but did not see one, Zut alors!…read more I know Paris Baguette is a chain and has an Asian twist so we decided to visit on Saturday morning before driving back to Boise. It was early, and it was already busy. TIPs & TRICKs Follow the rules: Get the tray, then the wax paper liner, then use the individual wax papers at the stations to grab what you want. While you're doing that, pay attention to the pricing, because it can add it. To see the plain butter croissants empty already was shocking, but when we told the employee she came back to not only stock it but came to us first and let us pick which ones we wanted off the tray That was very nice The pain du chocolat looked good and were lacking in depth and flakiness of the crunch The Chausson aux Pommes - was really good - They could have used another minute or two in the oven to get that golden brown. They were looking like the pastly white guy at the beach while everyone else had a tan The mochi Dubai Chocolate donut was very good. The total was almost fifty bucks.... I told my wife that we could have about 40 croissants for that price if we were in Paris. C'est la vie! Look for a chain - Its pretty good. I didn't try the coffee but if they ever show up in Boise metro area, I would check them out to see if they match up with SLC.

Loads of natural lighting (in the morning) My wife got a rose latte, I went for caramel. Standard coffee art (heart-topped wheat shock for her, delicate middle-centered fern on mine). The caramel was light in mine, a pleasant contrast to caramel lattes that emphasize over-saccharine sweetness over the richness of caramel - it could have been that they just used an appropriate amount or it could have been the underlying psychological effect of sitting on the couch while my kids played games and drank their hot chocolates with whipped cream. Either way, I appreciated it. The servers were professional and courteous, and the rose latte came out fast. That said, the room was packed while we were here - a testament to the vibe and the smiles they brew here. Glad we chose this place for our cozy morning respite this morning!

I think their coffee is decent and they have a lot of options for flavored drinks. It's awesome that you can try a full flight with different flavors, but I'm not sure if the value is fantastic for the price, especially for 4 half sized drinks. I might just order 4 drinks and just bring an extra friend to help me finish them. The shop is clean with a fun design, it has a lot of natural elements with out feeling forced and an awesome mural on the wall. The staff is friendly and fast for sending out orders and happy to help with any questions that you have. They do utilize a kiosk or QR code for ordering, which takes some of the personality out of the transaction, but it goes smoothly over all and gives you extra time to choose. I would defintely come back. Lots of options and a fun environment. Great spot to meet up with friends, have a coffee and something to snack on.

I ordered the snickers in hopes it would be sweet but not overpowering. Maybe that was my mistake. I saw it and I was already nervous. The entire drink was dark brown. It looked like chocolate milk. Which idk, maybe that's what it's supposed to look like, but oh my goodness I couldn't even taste the extra shot of espresso I ordered. Literally straight hersheys syrup. So I poured half of it out, added some almond milk and it's still pretty concentrated.
