The dental assistant brought us back and showed the kids the nifty tools they use to clean their teeth and got them excited and comfortable in their seats. The cleaning was quick, painless, and the kids did great. I have a horrible fear of the dentist, so I am glad this isn't going to be haunting my next generation. The dentist inspected their baby teeth and all got a good report with directions to brush, ditch the binky, and come back in 6 months. When we left the kids were given tokens for the prize machines which was so fun and clever. They also got t shirts and a new toothbrush and exciting floss!! The office itself is fairly large with a fantastic waiting area for the kids with a fish tank, camping decor, coloring books and crayons, a movie playing, and books to stay entertained. The back of the office invites campers back with more fun decor, colorful chairs, and a comfortable atmosphere that makes the dentist fun! We were nothing but impressed and pleased with Happy Campers, and our kids are pumped to brush and floss now!

When i spoke with the young lady, she got snippy saying it wasn't that and I said yeah it probably isn't but want to weed it out. She was being very rude not wanting to help and kept cutting me off. There was nothing professional about this conversation. I asked her name and she put me on hold. Someone else got on the phone and seemed to be "just cordial" with me. I asked to speak to the manager but she never called me. I got off the phone shaking. When I called back months later to tell them we are done going there because of this incident, she asked if I wanted to speak to the manager and I said yes. Again, I never got a call.

Despite that conversation, immediately after completing the treatment, we were informed that a second treatment would be required something that was never previously mentioned. So my son is very particular about his teeth being spaced (weird! The newly expanded office and team are just as great as before. I love entering the whimsical forest and seeing the woodland creatures. We try to go early so that the kids can get game time on the ipads. Their "dentist shirt" is the one item of clothing that they never lose because they get so excited to get a 2nd token for prizes. They've saved every shirt over the years, even if they no longer fit. I love Tatum pediatric and am so happy to have them caring for my kiddos.

The receptionist then told me they would not be refunding me and hung up on me. I will be contacting Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners and BBB. I called Palm Valley in Surprise to schedule appointments for my children. Before booking, I asked multiple times if they were in our insurance network. I even sent over our insurance cards, and the receptionist confirmed we were in-network. Based on that information, we scheduled an appointment. At booking, the receptionist explained there would be a $99 exam fee that could be applied to future services. That seemed reasonable, especially since I was assured we were in-network. We paid the fee at the appointment, only to later receive an outrageous bill--only then finding out that they are not in our network as originally claimed. I've been waiting a week for a call back from Judy in operations with no response, and the receptionist has been unhelpful throughout the process. This office misled us, and I would not recommend them due to their dishonesty and lack of accountability.
