The absolute rudest employee, didn't even *try* to be helpful. For someone who works at a tire shop you should know how frustrating car troubles are. This was probably the best experience I've had at a Pep Boys. I walked in thinking I wouldn't be able to get the parts that I wanted and walked out with everything I needed. I was working on a 1995 Ford F150 with rear brakes that dropped the adjuster in the drum and proceeded to squeal and scrape bloody murder. I went to Autozone thinking they'd have the parts and they had nothing. They could get me the parts tomorrow, but I needed them now. I walk into Pep Boys and the guy behind the counter asks if he can help me as soon as I walk up, looks up the parts and asks me the normal questions: what car, what part, etc. "I need the drum adjuster, the lever and if you have it, the adjuster cable." He asks, "does this have 10" or 11" brakes?" "I don't actually know, but I have the adjuster from the truck out in my car. I'll bring it in so I can compare." "Well, it doesn't matter, I only have the 11" parts in stock, I'll pull those." He goes off and gets the parts as I go off to get the parts from the car. When I come back, he's got *ALL* the parts I need. They're all in one kit which is perfect and I start to compare the parts to each other. They look close, but the shape isn't exactly the same. Me: "Do you have calipers so I can measure it?" "We don't even have calipers to sell here...." Me: "How about a ruler?" "We might have a measuring tape...." Me: "I'll just use my keys. If it's not exact, it's pretty dang close." "You can take it out of the bag, if you like. Me: "I'll take it. It's definitely worth a shot." For $10.99, this was a great deal. went there on Sat. 11/17/20.. was driving by and seen that there bays/shop was empty. figured since no-one is there, ill stop and get my truck tire fix. walked in and counter man was standing there. ask me if he can help me. i explain that i had my pickup tire repair at another shop a couple of weeks ago.. must not have done a good job. its still had a very small leak. it was a small finishing nail that they told me.. they put a plug in it.. i didn't want only a plug.. wanted a patch also.. they said that they can't do that. i was surprise by his response.. i always had that done..he repeated that he can't do that.. i told him ok and went to Discount Tire.. they put a patch in it.. and it was free.. i know where ill be going again for my truck tires and cars next time.. read more

Great customer service from Veronica. I needed an alignment and I was able to get in immediately. I explained my situation and what my dealership had stated. Veronica explained what the mechanic did in detail. Turned out I didn't need everything the dealership stated. read more

Worst customer service EVER. The employees that I associated with are so stupid. Ordered a part for my car. A guy name Oliver tells me to come at 6pm to pick up the part I show up at 6pm and he says it will be only coming in tomorrow. I call them the next day to make sure what time the part is coming in they said one of the employees went to pick it up so come in a hour. I talk to them two times before this just to make sure. By the way this shop is an hour 15 minutes from where I live. When I show up there one of the guys said they dropped it off to the mechanic shop. I call my buddy at the mechanic shop and he told me they never dropped off anything. It's because he ordered the wrong part. I told him to cancel my order and I'm never doing business with pep boys again. I waisted 4 hours of driving because these fools are horrible at what they do. read more

My first conversation was with Ben Lugo whom instantly made me feel confident from a workmanship, knowledge and Customer Service standpoint. Ben delivered the estimate which was over 1K and was quick to show me the physical issues with my Lower Control Arms, Brakes and Hub and Bearing. Ben also helped alleviate some of my financial concern about not getting it all done at once and gave me his honest opinion. While understanding my risk, i made the decision and picked my vehicle up on time and it drove like new. If you want great service, respectful customer service and a quality repair whether its brakes, suspension or tires... They may close at 8pm, but that doesn't mean you can come in and get service at 6 or even 5 apparently. I had a tire that had a couple bubbles on the sidewall of the tire, I was ok with getting that one tired done asap, but was interested in getting all 4 if possible. I came in a little after 6 thinking it would be enough time for atleast that one tire, but nope. The guy said he could give me a quote, but not the work since he old had one tech, and he was 'pretty much done for the night'. So he gave me the quote, and since I work during the week like a normal adult, I asked if I could bring it back tomorrow right after I get off work. I could be there 10 minutes after 5pm. He said, 'yeah, I just don't know, because like I said I only have one tech'.... ummm ok.... Long story short, my husband and I go out to eat, and he remembers this place that was open 24/7 just down the road from us. It took a bit of time to remember the name and exact location, but he remembered, it was Hamm's tires. So it's 8:53pm and my car is already almost done. I will leave a review under Hamm's for their service. As far as Pep Boys, they will never see me as a customer again. To bad for them. read more

Absolutely terrible. From the moment I arrived, I had the sense that I was being taken advantage of. I left without any repairs to my car because they were quoting me about $3500 to repair multiple components that contributed to "the problem." After taking my car to a trusted small business, my repairs were ONE component and only $240. I had the repairmen check all the other issues identified by Pep Boys. He said there were NO problems and that further repairs were not necessary. I'm so glad I followed by intuition and dos not let Pep Boys touch my car. read more
