But just as I was about to start my car, the battery started clicking. It turned out to be a bad cell. I started to get a little worried and stressed because I'd never had battery problems before, and I didn't know what kind of battery I needed or if I'd have to keep jump-starting it every time I drove. The staff were incredibly patient with me. They were patient and took the time to explain exactly what was wrong with my battery, instead of just replacing it without a word. They were even more patient when we spent an hour trying to call my mom and Toyota to check on my car's warranty. After all that waiting, Katie and Jonathan changed my battery and still patiently explained to me what they were doing. I've never been happier getting my car maintained! The prices were great and reasonable. I'd give them 10/10 customer service! They were patient, fast, and very pleasant.

Sign me up!" I pull in and they guide me into the spot where my service will begin and I instantly felt like they were trying to hustle me instead of help me. I was okay with the upselling, IF they took care of my original need before stacking on things to get what they wanted out of me. I felt unsure and uneasy through the entire process. One of the technicians even handled my car in a way that I would never handle my car, so I definitely did not like that. At the end I was just so happy to get out of there. The feeling of being hustled was a pretty bad feeling. I won't return. My car and I do not deserve such service. I'm a firm believer that if you just take care of the customers basic concern/main needs, you will earn trust and be able to open them up to the upselling presented to them, AFTER. We are a VETERAN family and I have been told several times that it's noted in our account. My 16 y/o was recommended the most expensive option and told he needed several additions to his service. He was quoted well over $100 for a Corolla. I called and spoke to someone and asked for the least expensive oil change and thats it. I was told that he would need his veterans ID. I told the gentleman that all of us meaning, three other cars bring our cars there and if I did not have the ID it's always been noted in the account. He said that was not sufficient and did not offer or mention the additional coupons that I found online after my son left. Fine, I understand that anyone can come in and say they are a veteran. But as I stated, I have been told several times that it's been noted in the account. Most reputable businesses will offer the coupon that they have and this also was not offered. This location just lost four cars. I am aware that in the grand scheme of things for cars means nothing to this business. Angel scanned my tires with a device that gave an accurate description of each tire indicator status. Which I been knowing for sometime now. I love that Angel was able to offer price match even with Costco. (Unfortunately they didn't have my favorite go to Bridgestone tires here). But he even offered 5% discount I would collect and applied my military discount. So how could I say no. I accepted tho e offer and completed the transaction here in store and he promised less than an hour completion. I also even got the warranty certificate on today's purchase! Only flaw is the park cars that's in the exit lane, which cause a little flac when I was trying to enter, and a truck wanted to go around to exit within the entrance lane. It appears that this is what the staff do when they complete your vehicle. The tires had this white dirty paint like on it. I understand he shared that the coating comes from the transportation service to keep the tires from dry rotting. But they definitely should have a service solution to clean that off when purchased and installed. I requested to do a white down or tire shine. They didn't have any tire shine to put on the tires which is wild to me. To spend over half a grand or over a grand for something new to look worn in appearance in a cleanliness status is disappointing. I appreciate and respect the attempt to clean it with water. They allow any tire shine any longer. They need to update that rule.

In the end, the wrong things you do in life eventually catch up with you. I discovered the prices they charged for the parts and how much they charged for labor through a link they had sent me. When they originally sent the link, it only showed the totals, just like the printed document they gave me. However, when I went back to the same link several days later, much more detailed information was available, including the parts prices and labor charges. If they were truly honest and transparent with their customers, they would provide the complete pricing information from the beginning instead of giving customers only partial information that leaves them uninformed and misled.

Yesterday I tempted fate because on the last time I'd been out of the house to drive anywhere -- a…read moreweek ago or more -- my car's dashboard electrical system warning light had come on. I was hoping it was just a dying battery, since I have jumper cables, and that I could get this errand completed even if I had to beg a jump-start from some stranger. Alas, it was not the battery, but the alternator, which had failed -- meaning no more juice was going into the battery, and my car therefore went completely dead about 10 minutes from my destination. But I coasted to a stop -- with the engine dead, no power steering, no dashboard lights at all -- into the parking lot of Deerfield Auto Repair & Kwik Kar. Owner Joe Fallin and his capable staff promptly diagnosed my problem and gave me a fair estimate. They replaced my alternator and battery both (never keep an old battery with a new alternator!) within the estimated time, about three hours, and hosted me in the meantime in a clean and well-appointed waiting room (easy to maintain pandemic-driven social distancing). Friendly, competent, honest, diligent -- fate delivered me into good hands, and I'm happy to recommend them to anyone.
