I had a nail in my tire. They told me it could not be repaired and tried to sell new tires. My tire had Leas than 200 miles on it. Went to Costco and they patched it for $11. Be carefully. I felt like they were trying to scam me. Didn't even go look at the tire. Might need a little training in that area read more

I had the best experience at this PepBoys location this evening! Went to leave work, only. to find I had a dead battery. Geico sent out PopALock to jump my car, but they were unable to replace my battery until the following day. Thankfully the man recommended PepBoys which only happened to be about a 1/2 mile down the road, so I headed straight there. PepBoys was so happy to help. The gentleman working the front immediately informed me that there was only one guy working on cars at the moment, but he would be happy to handle the battery and the front as best as possible. That alone says so much! He was willing to juggle two roles to ensure a happy customer. Even when they got busy, I was kept informed of the status of my battery install AND they got my battery installed in no time with their awesome teamwork. I am so grateful to them! My oil light had been on for a couple weeks now. I made an appointment to get my oil changed here. They worked with me great. I ended up getting two new tires also because they needed to be replaced. They were super busy yesterday but they still made sure to keep me in the process the whole time. The mechanic showed me my AC filters because they really needed to be replaced, so I ended up replacing those. The oil change was $30 off because of a coupon. Then the guy working the cash register gave me another 25% off discount for waiting so long & being so patient. It was the cheapest I have ever gotten out from getting just two tires replaced but then on top of that an oil change and two new filters. Definitely will be coming back if I have anymore problems in the future. read more

I come to this Pep Boys for everything my car needs. I love that Pep Boys does the same things any large dealership does, but for cheaper. They keep you informed about your car and what things need to be done to keep your car running in tip-top shape. They don't blindside you with extra things at check-out. The waiting area has a TV w/ remote and a Keurig machine. It's quiet and has a window to view your car being worked on. The staff is friendly and can answer any questions you might have about what's being done to your car or what your car might need. read more

Don't not take your vehicle here. On 8/12 I took my 2015 GMC Terrain to pep boys for service. A coupe days prior I'd gone to RPM auto care and received an estimate for VVT solenoid replacement. I asked Pep Boys to preform the task. They told me they'd need to do another diagnostic and they'd call me later that day. I received a call a few hours later stating it would be about $700 but the tech was leaving for the day but would return in Tuesday. I return on Tuesday and drop the truck off again. I received a call at around 3pm stating that now the cost would be $5k. I informed Charlie that it was way more than expected and I'd take my vehicle back to RPM. I was told to pick the truck up in an hour. I arrive an hour later and was told the truck was making a loud engine sound now and riding worst than when I dropped it off. It wouldn't be ready today. I call back the following morning and was told the timing chain broke and the car is inoperable and I'd need to tow my vehicle away. I'm now stuck with purchasing a new engine or 5k is repairs. When I contacted Pep Boyd management I was told " we tried to hand turn the engine and the chain broke. It's unfortunate it happened with us but probably would have happened anyway." I'm shocked that since the vehicle drove there with a $800 VVT solenoid issue turned into 5k and Pep boys offered nothing in terms of handling the issue. Just " Please have your vehicle towed away. Have them service your vehicle at your own risk. If anything happens you're on your own. read more

I was grossly misquoted for an oil change. I ended up paying almost $50 more then what I was originally told the oil change would cost. I advise you to shop around for a deal before you chose Pep Boys as you can get an oil change for much cheaper somewhere else. read more

It was late on a Friday night and 7 other places all told me it wasn't possible to get it done until the next day. I recently took my car in for service just needed and alignment, which I already knew . However the deal of paying for a year of alignment made me not take it to the dealership .. However I got a called stating that my car needs $1300 dollars worth of work. I was sadden that Pep boys which I have taken my vehicle to for sometime would do this. and what's even crazier the lady showed me proof that my alignment was good showing it all in green .. therefore they have their shady mechanics and they obviously, are able to manipulate their reading to say whatever they want to say ... of course when I took it to two dealerships one they both laughed and said yea they were trying to get you .. I've been going Pep Boys for some years now. Why? For the service they give and accommodation they provide. Yesterday I drove to them with my wife's car, rear brakes grinding. Brake pads chewing into the rotors. "First let us look and see what the TRUE damage is and we'll call you and let you know and what it'll cost". This morning I was desperate when I brought my toyota to this Pep Boys. I had grabbed a stray kitten from the railing of the Buckman Bridge during rush hour traffic and it had climbed into my dashboard, up in the middle section, out of reach and got stuck. Stefan and Alex spent an hour finding a way to get that tiny kitten out without completely taking apart the dashboard or hurting the kitten. They were totally awesome! read more

One star, because I cannot give less. This location has steadily declined in the last 12 months, as I used to be a regular customer for over 5 years. The staff do not care about customer service in the least, and they will overcharge for everything. I took my car in, because the window would not roll up. After a $50 diagnostic, I was given a quote of $540 to replace a switch and regulator, with labor. I took my car to the Tire Kingdom down the street, who were much more courteous, and quoted a fifth of the price, and by the way, nothing was wrong with the switch. THESE PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE AND INCOMPETENT LIARS. I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation and ended up having go back 4 times within 5 days. When I first got home the front tire was making a noise so I took it back the next morning. The tire weights were scaping, and this was easily fixed while I waited. Next day the entire car was vibrating; turns out they never re-balanced the tires after rotating. So I went back for balancing, and they sold me 2 new tires as well. When I picked it up I was assured that they had test driven my car and everything was fine. I had driven no more than 50 ft. from the store when I heard the wheels scraping again. So I immediately returned to see if they could finally get it right. I WILL NEVER VOLUNTARILY GO BACK! read more

I went in this morning to get my window fixed. My husband had called over the weekend and confirmed that they do repair them. I walked in the service area and looked around for someone to assist me. No one was there. I went to another area of the store and a man from the service bay came by one of the registers, looked right at me then proceeded to go back into the service bay. What the heck?? I wandered around looking for some form of customer service which evidently is non existent if you are a woman. I saw two men behinf the counter. One was helping a lady which is cool but the other guy stood there with a clip board and completely ignored me! There were three other customers behind me. Another customer walked in and went out of the line to talk to the clip board guy and got immediate help. Seriously?! I was standing in line for 15 minutes and I get nothing. Sorry but you lost my business, about $300 in work. I will go elsewhere because apparrently if you have a vagina you are deemed as an idiot. I have never felt so low in my entire life. I needed to have my windshield wipers replaced today and had minimal time during my lunch period. I called to ensure the blades were in stock and to see if they could be replaced timely if I came in. I was assisted by Devron Tobey who had the blades waiting when I arrived, and immediately located a technician who could replace the blades. I was literally in and out within 15 minutes. Please read entire compliant. I normally do not take time to complain about poor service, I just never go back! This is too important to not be posted. I brought my truck in for an oil change 11/15. The service writer was slow and unappreciative to have a customer. Finally my ticket was complete and the Oil change service process was started. I did not watch the service performed, but when I noticed my truck was parked outside I went to the service desk to ask to pay and leave. The first person said my ticket was not there and told me he would look for it, I noticed him walking to back of store not the service bay. During this time the Store manager and another associate spent more than 10 minutes trying to figure out how to do a battery refund for another customer, "Associate kept saying that he needed SM code for refund and SM kept saying no you don't". After standing there for the duration, I then asked the associate with the manager if he could accept my payment so I could leave (1.5 hrs for oil change),the first employee never returned from the back of the store. The associate then picked my service contract that was laying there the whole time and received my payment. At that time I was angry and just wanted to leave. I went home and parked in the driveway till 3 days later. As I walked up to my truck I noticed a large oil spill on my driveway. I opened the hood and seen oil spilled all down the side of my engine, even over on my battery, there was so much oil that I thought they left the plug out or the filter loose, neither was the case. I then started to inspect my vehicle, I have oil stains in cab, you smell oil in cab and my engine on the driver side is all wet with oil, to include my fan belt and oil puddled in my skid plate. In addition no other fluids were topped off- Windshield or Pwr steering - which was low. I immediately called the store and asked to speak with a manager and a person named Eric said he was the customer Service manager. He stated he would relay info to Store Manager and someone would get back to me. To this point I have heard nothing from anyone at that store. This further relays a bad customer service experience/environment at that branch STAY AWAY!!!! They always act like they are doing you a favor for your money! read more
