I just had a service done on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I was quoted 495 for my service. I wanted to cry. I did my research and called back and asked if they would install the parts I bought on my own. They not only said they would provide the parts but they would match the price. I was in tears with the money I was saving. When I went to pick up my jeep. Everything was done in a timely matter and everything was fixed and they gave me even a better price and gave me my oil change for free. They not only did everything to keep a customer but went above and beyond to make this right! I will continue to go back for services and recommend them to anyone I know. Horrible service. I have taken my car here twice (only because it is close to my house and I can walk home if it is going to take awhile). I've made an appointment both times. An oil change that I was told would take 45 minutes took 2 1/2 hours. The men at the service counter are short and sometimes rude. One screamed at an employee in the back room, and then continued to want to talk to me about it. It seems like they really don't have it together. I will not take my car back here. read more

Went into the store yesterday and a new hire by the name of Terry assisted me. he worked in the Parts area. I needed some back license plate screws and he was quick to assist me with the right size and on top of that installed my plate for me. Kudos to this new hire! Broke down today and the tow truck driver suggested pep boys. I could fix it myself or hand it over for them to do. I went with option B and worked with Matt. They got my car in, order the part had it delivered in under 40 min with also looking at an other problem I was having all together under 2hours. I have had consistently poor customer service. In this case, I needed a headlight. The worker said here's the touchscreen, showed me the menus and walked away. When I pulled up my make and model the part number didn't correspond to anything on the shelf. Worker returned. I told her the part number said I couldn't find it but let me show you what is on the screen. By now the screen turned off. So I said "here let me pull it up again". Note to management - the over flowing trash can on the Arby's side of the building should never be left like that. Hire someone please. I came in yesterday for air and cabin filters and had an excellent experience. The gentleman took me back to the computer to find the exact ones I needed them walked over and found them on the shelf for me. I decided to have an oil change done here because of that service. At the check out I asked about scheduling and was set up on the spot plus given a coupon for discounted services. The oil change was about an hour and they did a nice and clean job. This was, without a doubt, the absolute worst experience I have ever had in regards to car repairs. I went in for my appointment for an oil change and an AC check. The oil change was a mid-week special advertised for $19.99 and the AC check was around $35. I advised them of the problem I was having-when I slowed down, my AC would blow hot air...as long as I was moving, the AC blew ice cold. I did also tell them that I had a problem with my cooling fan blowing fuses. They told me they checked all the fuses and they were fine...they were still looking at my car. Three and a half hours later, he comes out and shows me an estimate for a new cooling fan-$925, including the oil change and the AC check service, which wound up costing me slightly over $100. This would have brought down the cost of replacing the cooling fan to around $825. My Hyundai dealership quoted me almost HALF of that-$425 out the door. I asked for a copy of the estimate so I could take it to my husband. I was leaving on vacation later that week, so my husband was looking my car over since we were absolutely stunned at the estimate we had gotten and it made us very nervous as to what was actually done. Also, when I showed him the estimate that I was actually given, the price was only around $385...not sure why there was a difference. As he was looking at my car, my husband noticed that they left off the caps to the high/low pressure valves for the AC, they got oil EVERYWHERE under the hood, busted the cover off for one of my battery terminals, and left a random fuse inside where the terminal is. They did replace the fuse for me, however, and I was able to make it down to Texas-where I took it to my previous Hyundai dealer. He noticed, in looking at the car, that they also busted the needle out of the low pressure valve on the AC hose. His response to all of it "It's never been more obvious to me that someone just didn't give a s*it about their work". He was able to replace the cooling fan for me for just around $350. It is our opinion that Pep Boys was simply trying to take advantage of me being a woman with the crazy estimate of $900+. There really is no other explanation for the high estimate to begin with and then the lower estimate for me to take home. I didn't even question why I paid $100 for an oil change and an AC check...I just wanted out of there. My advice? Go anywhere else. read more

I've been to this store for parts, maintenance, and tires. Every time I've had great service and results at the lowest prices I could find. I always carefully research my auto services because they are expensive and significant time can be involved when things go wrong. This Pep Boys is now my only choice for auto repairs and parts. I'm writing now because I had an electrical issue (parasitic drain). It's too long a story to write here, but Pep Boys did a great job handling a complicated issue. Where do I begin... We have been here multiple times for car repairs and every time has been awful. Overpriced services, always try to add-on extra services you don't need, HORRIBLE customer service, and if you want to know if your car is done, YOU have to call! Otherwise you will never hear back. We dropped off our vehicle today and it was the last straw. We were being up-charged ridiculously while the lady next to me was being yelled at, talked over, and talked down on by the mechanic. I first went into the store to purchase replacement bulbs for my headlights. Mission accomplished. They had a great selection and it was easy to find exactly what I was looking for. Then when I tried applying my personal handy work and changing the bulbs, I started having issues. I went back to Pep Boys and Mark stepped out into the parking lot and helped me replace both bulbs. When he was done, which took about 5 minutes, he looked at me with a smile and told me to have a great day! I was amazed at the customer service and help I received. I will be back! read more

We had a coupon for an oil change that we used here; however, when we came back to pick up my car, the service man informed us that our air filter was dirty and our tires needed replacing. My husband knows a bit about cars and decided that he would replace the filter, saving the $10 fee. He purchased a new filter at Pep Boys and when he pulled the old one out, it didn't need replacing at all! It was barely dirty! He proceeded to check out the tires. The tire wear indicator wasn't close to the surface! The service man did recommend some tires on sale, but the sale price was $100 MORE than the nice tires we usually buy from Costco. Don't be fooled by walking in with a coupon for an oil change and walking out with unnecessary additional purchases. read more

Do not use this awful establishment. Today, I made an online reservation to get my oil changed - I was pleased because it showed they had quite a bit of openings while many places were busy. I made my 1pm appointment a little before 10am - plenty of time. I showed up about ten minutes before my scheduled appointment; I figured I may have a small wait so I was trying to be a little early. An employee finally came out (after a few minutes) and when I told him I was in for an oil change he promptly told me "We can't help today"... I explained that I had a reservation and he rudely explained they were over two hours behind and still couldn't get to it today. I was seriously angered by his attitude and lack of customer service and asked to speak to a manager - which ended up being a joke. The manager, Chris, came out to assist and did absolutely nothing to help me. He again explained that they were behind and when I asked him why I wasn't contacted he told me that they didn't monitor their online reservation system - they checked their reservations at 7:30am and not since then. When I asked if there was anything they could do for me as I drove from work, on my lunch for their "guaranteed 30 minute service" (per their website) he wasn't able to do a single thing. Through all of this he NEVER once even made a suggestion to make it right - didn't offer to reschedule me, didn't offer me anything for the miscommunication... Truly he made NO attempt to right their wrong. Their customer service was truly repulsive - I work in customer service and I am generally very understanding to most situations, however, this was absolutely awful. With all the places that do car service in and around this area - this should be the absolute last on your list. read more

I never leave reviews because my experiences with service providers in general is typically ok. But in this case Pep Boys lied to me about 3 major issues. They are a dishonest shop and I don't want anyone to get ripped off by these guys. I recommend the Tires Plus that just down the road at 9000 Park Meadows Drive. This is my rip off story, please take a minute to read it. I took a car I had for Sale to this Pep Boys for a pre-sale inspection at the insistence of the buyer. I didn't have an issue with this since the car only had 50K miles and I didn't have anything to hide. They charged the buyer of the car $129 for this inspection. The Pep Boys report came back stating the car had the following issues: The brakes are worn out and rotors were to thin to turn. Quoted over $760 to repair, not including calipers. This was only for rotors and pads, per their quote. The rack and pinion is leaking and needed to be replaced. Quoted just under $700 to remove and replace. Both front struts are leaking and needed to be replaced. Quoted $647 to replace. I checked the brakes and measured both the rotors and pads. They were no where near minimum specs. The rotors could have been turned several times and pads had nearly a quarter inch of material left. The brakes had another 20K left on them, they were fine! We'll count this as lie #1. I checked the struts and one side was leaking but their quote said both were leaking. We'll count this as lie #2. I replaced these myself for $220 in parts. I checked the rack and pinion and found the unit itself was fine. One of the lines had a small weep and one of the bellows had a small tear. This is far from the rack and pinion needing to be replaced. We'll count this as lie #3. The Tires Plus I mentioned above quote $110 to make these repairs. I don't have a problem with Pep Boys prices for these services. Their pricing for brakes and struts is outrageous but they can charge whatever they want. I have a problem with them stating the car needs repairs that it does not. This is dishonest. I have the peps boys quote to repair and I also have documents verifying their findings are not correct. I plan to file a report with Colorado Attorney Generals office ASAP. read more

Took my car in to replace alternator, was very glad that they were open on Sundays. 6 hours later, they sent me on my way. I promptly returned, as the replacement alternator was faulty. Did you not think to test the part before putting it in? Not a place I would ever return to. read more

I went in to get the daytime running light in my car replaced. When I found out the labor was going to be $80 I was about to change my mind on having it done. Brian was extremely helpful and went out to look at my car. He told me he could try and get the labor price down. Once he looked at the car, he determined he could do it himself without removing anything. He popped the old bulb out and the new one in and only charged me for the part. The service department here was pretty darn fantastic! I brought in my car on a Saturday afternoon/early evening as I had to get a jump a few times and was curious about what was wrong (battery vs. alternator). They up-front told me it may be an hour or longer before they could take a look at it because they were pretty busy, but as they were the only place around that was open I waited (across the parking lot in a restaurant having dinner). Not an hour later, my phone rang letting me know it was my battery and they had a few options for me on replacement options should I want them to take care of it. After laying out the prices, I made my choice and within 20 minutes my car was back up and running again. The employees were very personable and respectful to me, which I appreciate as a female who is typically treated with kit-gloves around car people. They were very straightforward about the problem, showed me the readout on my car, explained my options, and not once did they talk down to me because I am a woman. I will recommend this location to anyone who asks as they were awesome to help me fairly late in the day on a Saturday. read more

My car was in desperate need of an oil change, so I made an appointment here. When I made my appointment, I also let them know that there was something wrong with my windshield wiper fluid hose. I got there ten minutes early and was told it might be a little while and that looking at the hose would take longer and cost extra. An hour and a half later they still hadn't even started, and didn't know when they would either. There were two cars in the 5 bays and several people had whatever they needed done, done, while I was sitting there. After watching a lot of nobody working, I left. No oil change, no fixed wipers, and not going back. read more

This was probably one of the worst experiences I've had with any kind of business. I had made an appointment for an oil change starting at 6pm. Most of the time oil changes take 30 minutes to an hour and I fully understand that I am not the only person there and they have other tasks that need to get done. I had gone in around 5:30 because I had gotten off of work a little earlier than expected and checked in. The man working there wasn't friendly whatsoever and I asked how long he thought it would take to which he replied 1.5 to 2 hours. Not realizing it would take that long and being so far from where I live I hadn't set up arrangements for someone to pick me up so that I wouldn't be waiting that long. I ended up waiting the entire time in their waiting area and not until the last 30 minutes did they actually bring my car into the service drive. During my wait I had asked if I could buy some windshield wiper fluid and one of the guys working just said instead they would just top off my fluids which was very nice of him. Also, as I was waiting multiple guys came up and had asked what car I drove... I thought maybe this was to get the process moving as they saw I was the only person actually waiting there for my car to be serviced. I ended up waiting 2 hours and 15 minutes.... For an oil change. When checking out the guy working was very friendly and said he would apply the coupon I had which again was very nice but then told me I had to pay for a filter that my car took so that I could use their oil.... Not once has anyone ever said that to me about my car nor have they ever charged me for a filter of any kind even at other pep boys locations. I was also extremely disappointed that he was just mentioning this after I had already gotten it done. When I get my car I had asked if they topped off the fluids... Obviously they hadn't and then I had to wait even longer for that to happen. Then I got in my car and the change oil light flashed on.... Seriously? I spent another 15 minutes waiting for some other guy to mess around with the settings in my car to turn it off. I will never go back here or to any pep boys location and I will never recommend it to anyone I know. This entire experience was extremely disappointing. read more

My service experience was, once again, horrible. I have a 2018 SUV and scheduled an oil change. My wife took the vehicle in a few minutes before the scheduled time, and waited...and waited. They didn't take the vehicle in for more than a half hour after the scheduled time. Today, I had a 5:00 appointment scheduled. I arrived and completed the paperwork by 4:35. At 5:35, I had to seek out a service rep to find out what was going on. He was bs'ing with 2 techs as I approached. I asked for my keys back as I was not going to wait any longer to have my vehicle brought in. I was met with a "Yeah, what's your name?" When told he said "I will bring your keys to you". A few minutes later he came inside and handed me the keys - no questions, no explanations, a very basic "I don't give a damn attitude". Won't happen to me again, that's for sure, there's plenty of other places that want the business. I strongly suggest others follow suit! read more

I want to give a huge shout out to dan at this location he was kind thoughtful and sincere. Today we were working on a wheel bearing for my infiniti and unfortunately the way the part comes it pretty much requires you to use a press. Unfortunately when you do work out of your garage not many people have access to that. With that being said once I realized it wasn't a full set I went back to orielys to see if I could get the right part all put together and they don't sell it that way. After stopping by 6 different tire places (5 of which were closed) to see if they could help me with my problem and being rudely turned around by Firestone I was pretty discouraged that I'd finish the job this Sunday. I stopped in and they were so ready and prompt to help me. I don't expect anything for free of course and I was happy and eager to pay anyone who could help me. He told me it would be a couple hours which is fine because I stopped in last minute and had no expectations. Shortly after I got home he called me saying it was done! (Not that I knew because my two year old answered the phone and had a conversation with him 3 times lol) so I got back paid $45 which is super reasonable since I was quoted $650 by an infiniti dealership was helped out to the car and ended the day with a handshake. I feel so respected and I'm super happy! Very convenient hours, reasonable prices and helpful! No wonder they've been around over 90 years! Beware of this PepBoys Store.......Today I visited store for oil change package (Mobil 1 Synthetic Package) which includes (oil change/Oil filter change/Free Tire Rotation/Tread depth and tire pressure check/Courtesy vehicle inspection). But they handed over my car after just oil change without other service point completion when I told them that as per package other service point should also be completed then store Manager (Joe) said that we covered all check point but they bluffed me because I was literally watching them from glass window when my car was servicing then he starts shouting and behaving badly, I was shocked that how come store manage behave like that If customer has any issue then manager try to resolve the issue instead rude behavior. Absolutely, consistently horrible service ranging from incompetence to callous disregard (I say "consistently" because this is my 3rd bad experience with this store in a year -- yes, I'm an idiot for continuing to give them a chance). Their web site actually steers you toward making online service appointments which are apparently worthless, probably assuming that once you're in the door, you're most likely going to wait the extra 3 to 4 hours before they can even start working on your vehicle. All the while, the service manager is shaking his head complaining about the online appointment system, suggesting I should have called instead as if it was MY fault the appointment couldn't be honored. I walked out & will never return. I have never said this about a major, name branded company before, but if Pep Boys doesn't change their orientation toward customer service & goes the way of some other iconic companies have in the last few years -- dramatically downsizing or disappearing altogether -- I'll just be shrugging. read more

Paid for service to have pitman arm replaced. I was asked which side. This should have been a clue that they do not know a thing about fixing a vehicle. When I got the vehicle back, the steering wheel was now upside down. It was not like this when I brought it in. Went back into the store and told them about it. They said since I did not purchase an alignment, they did not have to fix it. A customer should receive their vehicle back at least as good a shape as when it was serviced. Any moron can install this part correctly. You have the wheels straight when you start and lock the steering wheel, that way when you install the part, the wheels and center steering are lined up correctly. They just want to charge you for services you don't need or want. More crooked than a used car dealer. BEWARE!!!! SCAMMERS!!!! read more
