Exterior This location is located off Powder Springs Rd. They are neighbors to ChickFilA and the post office annex. There is a Publix plaza across the street. Interior Clean and well lit. Pretty standard. There's a television, complimentary bottled water and a viewing window if you'd like to keep an eye on your baby while they're working on her. Customer Service Friendly and upbeat. I strolled in at 4pm on a Saturday and Clayton gave me "Tuesday morning," bright and upbeat energy. And that's not a typo, I didn't say Monday morning energy because most folks aren't super upbeat Monday morning - still salty that the weekend is over. :-) For some reason, they couldn't find my customer profile, but he set up a new one for me. I was only having the bulbs replaced in my fog lights. You have to go through the wheel well to do this, so even though I am proud to announce that I can change bulbs in headlights and brake lights - I was NOT able to do this one. Given the day and time (and the fact that 2 people were already posted up in the lobby), I was prepared for a wait. I was thrilled when it took a little less than an hour. During this time, while they had the fog lights out, they popped in a cosmetic plastic bevel that the body shop neglected to put in when my car was repaired over a year ago. And they filled my tires to the appropriate pressure. They did not try to upsell me or make me spend money I didn't have. Lol. Price / Value The price was very affordable. I was charged a flat rate based on labor and I was able to use my military dependent discount. In fact, they had promotion for 20% off because of Veteran's Day but there's a year round military / govt employee discount. Other I like the fact that if you really wanted to you could walk to Publix, ChickFila, Dragon 168 or Wendy's while you wait. Or you could visit the nail salon in the Publix plaza to get your pedicure on. But ... Windy Hill / Macland intersection is the next block over so this is a VERY busy intersection depending on the time of day you visit - and I don't eat a lot of CFA - so I'm probably always gonna just sit in the lobby reading on my Kindle app. Overall Overall, I can't say enough positive things about this place. I had an exceptional experience and will definitely give them a call when it's time for replacement tires. In fact, I might even check with them to see if they're willing to price match the dealership's synthetic oil change price! Highly recommend! read more

Pep Boys - Repaired my tire good as new! - Tires Near Me - Marietta, Georgia

I brought my car in for a problem with HVAC system. The air stops blowing intermittently about 20 min in to driving. Same thing happens with the heat or AC. They replaced the blower and resistor. After driving for a little while, same thing occurred. I scheduled to bring it back and was told no problems were indicated and was told to bring it back and leave it. I came back a second time and they started it and stopped it and drove around the block still didn't see anything. Did I mention it happens 20 min in to driving continually? They told me to drive it and bring it back when it happens again and just don't cut the car off. Makes sense if I didn't work an hour away. Seems like I am out $900 and still have the same problem. Is it just me or what was 'fixed' wasn't really the issue? I wish I had money to burn but I don't. I'm very disappointed. read more

BEWARE DO NOT GO HERE! Think every stereotype of a bad mechanic and you got it at this shop. I dropped my car off for break service and rotors, my breaks were squeaking. I've had this car since new so I knew about what it should cost, they come back and try to update me with a host of maintenance issues no other shop had mentioned. They tell me my car needs $1200 worth of service. When I said that was ridiculous and I'd take my car elsewhere suddenly it was only $975. I should've walked away then but I stupidly agreed and 975$ and 3 hours later I pick up my car and my check engine light is on! They tell me they forgot to reset it which made me wonder what else they didn't do. The next day my breaks were squeaking just like before and then there was a grinding sound. After going back to the shop the finally agreed to use the warranty to replace the break pads again to lessen the noise, then the check engine light came back on and they say it's something new. This place is a rip off and a second shop I went to said someone messed with my fan belt that was the problem. They will damage your car to make more money and half way do the work. I wish I could give them zero stars. I came in after scheduling an appointment and they didn't have the parts for an oil change. They had me come back the following weekend. When I came in the following weekend at my schedule time, they asked me to leave it and come back in the evening. My appointment was for 8am in the morning for an oil change! Then fast forward to me getting my next oil change somewhere else and found out that this pep boys cut the cover over my oil pan instead of unscrewing it. Also my car recommends a new bolt to make sure oil doesn't leak and Pep boys just put sealant on it without telling me or giving me the option. The assistant manager and manger were no help when I told them. DONT GO HERE! read more

Pep Boys staff was very friendly and helpful when my vehicle was towed in after it broke down a half-mile away from the Macland Crossing location. They "checked it out" (did not charge diagnostic fee) and told me the timing belt snapped and it needed a new engine quoting $5600 to do the job. I had it towed to my trusted local mechanic in Powder Springs. He fixed the timing belt for $465- vehicle had NO engine damage. Pep Boys customer service in my experience was very good and I'm sure they do fine work for the routine maintenance. All I can say is if you're getting a sticker shock quote you better invest in a second opinion. Thank the good Lord I did!! read more

nice people but the work over the years has gotten sloppy. Most times I have to come back a second time. And now they don't tell you about price change. Just got an oil change 2-14-23 went from 120 to 164 all because they had to use a 40$ filter. No warning nothing never have I paid for a 40 oil filter. Got an alignment that day too I'm back on 2-15-23 to get it redone due to pulling hard to the right. Not sure if I'll be coming back. read more

I got a flat tire on my way to work and had roadside assistance put my spare on. I came to the nearest tire store near where I got the flat which was Pep Boys. I came into the store and a gentleman who was at the counter was on a phone call, no problem. After a few minutes he paused his call and asked what I needed. I told him that I needed my tire fixed from a flat caused by a nail. He told me they would get to it before closing and continued his phone call which I found out was a personal call regarding his son. He didn't even ask for my information to begin the repair, he continued his call. Very rude and unprofessional. I am only giving more than one star because the guy who fixed my tire actually paid attention to what I needed and got the job done in a quick manner. read more

I recently took in my Acura for a diagnostic on my air conditioning. I was told my compressor needed to be replaced. After spending $550, my issue was still unresolved. After TWO return trips (that's right, cause they didn't believe me the first time), I was finally able to convince TJ that my AC was still blowing hot, humid air. A few hours later I was told that I needed to replace the condenser for another $1050.00! No efforts or considerations were made from TJ or Paul aside from trying to sell me another expensive service that I was able to arrange for over 40% less than what they were asking. Very disappointed with the diagnostic capabilities and customer service I have been given from this location. I would HIGHLY recommend spending your money elsewhere. Will not return. read more

Fantastic shop... extremely friendly. I had my car's oil changed and transmission fluid flushed at another lube shop on the East side of town... big mistake. They tried to tell me a belt was destroyed... and in the process of trying to tighten it up, they rounded the bolt. I took it to Pepboys on Macland Crossing and they fixed me right up! They assured me the belt was fine, and were able to tighten it up and send me on my merry way. I will only ever go to this shop from now on for ALL of my car care. read more

I meant to leave this review a few weeks ago but nonetheless I feel like I need to express how amazing this location is. We lived Marietta for 3 years and always went to this location for our car needs. Every time I went in, they were extremely friendly, fast, and efficient. Paul is the manager there and he's awesome. We had new tires put on one of our cars back in January. We moved to Greenville back in March and had to have our car looked at the Kia dealership up here for a recall and that discovered we had an air pocket in one of our tires. Of course they wanted an arm and leg for a new tire and to get it fixed. We took it to a local Pepboys in hopes that they were under a warranty, they weren't. The local shop called the Marietta location and Paul said "They just got those tires, hook them up." We got the tire replaced at no cost! I am sad we moved away because I don't think we'll find as great of customer service as we did at this location. Thanks for everything! read more
