I had bad experience with bad attitude from the girl at the counter to a tech not putting on a lug nut and sending me home with one missing lug nut on my tire. I was very upset because I have kids that ride in the car and when I felt my tire shaking on the freeway I pulled over and checked my tires and when I did I saw there was a nut missing of my tire. I had just got my tires rotated at Pepboys so I knew it was them . I was very upset for putting my wife and kids in danger so I went in very upset but left completely happy and the only reason was because of the Manger named Randy he quickly addressed the problem talked to me and my and re assured us he would be fixing the situation and talking to everyone about not letting this happen again . I personally saw him check my tires and had the tech balance all my tires and check all bolts to make sure there was no stripping again I want to thank Randy the manager for being professional and understanding of the situation and de escalating the situation. So I reached out and was told there was going to be a resolution for my car being broken into. There somewhat was. So the manager stan has no customer service whatsoever. He's mean and has a bad attitude whenever you try to get them to admit fault. He said he's willing to fix my window that was broken into on their property but that's all he can do. He doesn't feel responsible for his mechanics missing the actual problem with my car and causing my whole engine to be replaced, which caused me to be out of work for over a month. He doesn't feel he's responsible for the stuff that was stolen because I was told "I shouldn't have left it overnight" I'm so over y'all. He doesn't even want to fix my window he wants me to bring him estimates so he can choose the cheapest. This is no step up, this was no rectification done. We ended up at this location because it was the only store that had a battery for my car that wasn't leaking acid (Batteries at the first two Pep Boys were leaking and very obviously defective). Problem solved, right? WRONG!!! We get home and hook the new battery up and it's DEAD! So DEAD! Totally DEAD! Like no spark on the jumper cables DEAD! Now I gotta beg for a ride to work AND across town for another new battery. I called pep boys and I was told it's self service pull up to number 4 .I only seen the first 2 garages open and 3 men standing outside talking. so I rolled my window down and asked where is #4 ? and the guy on the left yells out this is 1&2 obviously this is 4 opens the garage and continues talking that was so rude not to mention it's 8am shouldn't all of them be open instead of standing around talking. I needed to buy a new bulb for my car's headlight and I wound up here by sheer chance. I was driving around town on my way to who knows where and had one of those, "oh yeah, I forgot I need a new bulb for my car" thoughts. About that time, I saw this Pep Boys and pulled in. I'm a stereotypical female who knows jack squat about cars so if anybody could get ripped off, it's me. Well, I waltzed in and the employees were SUPER friendly and helpful. I guess they know that when a chick comes in alone that she most likely needs a lot of help. The store is very old inside but the guys working there know their stuff. They even felt so badly for me (I really turned on the pitiful look) that one of them came out into the parking lot and installed the new bulb for me. Yay! read more

Rushed over after the worst tow truck driver ever picked up my car and dumped it in their parking lot taking up two spaces with my compact two door car. Felt terrible coming in at closing but Moe and the cashier (forgot his name, nice black kid) helped me out for sure. If you are wanting some quickie service this one of many places to go. How ever if you are looking for full service. Real problems solution. I can't recommend Pep Boys. I have been here twice so far. This first time I tell you that the female hulk was unleashed. First Visit: This employee had given me a quote on some repairs, on that same quote he was trying to double charge me for a gas pump. I told him that there was a double charge and he insisted that this was something different. We bumped heads and bumped heads until I finally said "screw it" and walked out. I mean if you mess up on a quote what tells me you won't mess up on the repairs. (no services were rendered) Second Visit: I loved this place the cute Hispanic was very polite told me what the prices were, and gave me a quote for the things that are wrong with my truck. He told me that I need to prioritize the oil leak. So freaking nice and professional. Changed my oil and was on my merry way. So Next time I go back will be the make it or brake it kind of a deal. (Specifically a guy wearing a white shirt) They didn't even try or give me a reason why just said no! It was very clear that I disturbed their conversation (3 young guys talking about some type of interest rate they pay for) As I was walking outside, a gentleman named Martin stopped me, apologized and said "I can't help you in that department but let me try giving you a good price on those rotors you need. Martin somehow worked his magic and found the parts I needed without me even asking for them and gave me a great price. Martin deserves more than 5 starts but those irresponsible kids really are absolutely no help! Horrible customer service by service department. Absolutely never coming again! read more

I recently had a disappointing experience dealing with Pep Boys #683 in Las Vegas, NV. The breaks went out on the passenger front of my Dodge Grand Caravan while on vacation in Las Vegas. I contacted AAA for repair shops and specifically asked for Pep Boys as we've had excellent service in San Diego. I called and found out the price for a break service and decided to drive my disabled van to the location at 2030 Las Vegas Blvd. We (my husband and I) received directions taking us in the WRONG direction going 12 miles (and 20 minutes) out of the way in a disabled vehicle. We finally arrived at this location and left the car over-night for inspection and possible repairs. We asked to be informed ASAP with information. The next AFTERnoon we received a call informing us that the caliper had gone out on one side and the repair cost would be over $500. Full labor cost for BOTH services! 1 replacing the calipers and putting the car back together 2 replacing the breaks (The labor costs should be an add-on service). We were told that the manager said this was a "package" price and could not be adjusted. At the end of the call it was stated that we would not be doing business with this shop and be picking-up the van. When we returned (1 hour later) the car was not assembled and we had to wait another 30 minutes! I do not recommend this business. read more

I showed him I indeed put a cell phone there. It was mine. He did not apologize. I'm 59 years old and was offended by his stupidity. I cursed him out. I wish that I could do zero stars this was one of the worst experiences that I've ever had for car maintenance they lost my keys they broke my oil pan and wouldn't replace it wanted to charge me 300 more dollars to replace something that they broke it's took them five hours to do an oil change and replace the battery. It's took so long I want to go see a movie and when I came back they still had it replaced the battery they only checked it and that wasn't what I asked for OK. The service was terrible the mechanic was very rude and disrespectful do not take your car to pep boys they will break things to keep you coming back they left the caps open under the hood for the different fluids that they supposedly topped off or replaced. read more

Went in for an oil change. Service staff was quick and courteous. Made an appointment over the phone and arrived early. Was helped immediately. Was quoted a price of 31.99 but when checking out the service associate included some in store coupons and only paid 25 bucks.
