Very disappointed with this location. It's a poor representation of the Pep Boys model. They did quite a bit of suspension work for me and charge me a lot of money. I then noticed the tire rod on the passenger side was not installed properly. Took it in, spoke with George who refuse to correct it, and even tried to convince me that's what it should look like. I called the store at 1250 and was informed that the manager was on lunch and bring my car in a little before 2. I get there exactly at 150 where I am informed by the manager the mechanic went on lunch and I would have to wait. The shop was completely empty. I waited for 40 min before witnessing the manager leaving to get snacks. I notice my vehicle has not been moved so I go inside to check the status of my vehicle. where I am then informed by another mechanic that the manger didn't let anyone know about my car and that he could have put it on the lift and checked it out 40 min prior since there was no one there. Been to this location multiple times and it's always been great service. This manager obviously doesn't care about his job or the company since He took an hour lunch and then proceeded to eat (at the counter) and then leave to get more food. Couldn't give me an explanation as to why nothing was said to anyone about my vehicle other than the other mechanic was on lunch. This is the only place I know of where they are allowed to shut down for over 2 hours due to "lunch" I really hope a Gm sees this and does something about it. It's completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I won't be going back until management has been changed. To the mechanic that actually cared and was generally trying to help I apologize that your boss put you in that position. Avoid this place if you value your time and money. When I got here, I was told the the manager has stepped out of the office for a moment and that they couldn't take my truck in. Why the heck they made me do an appointment then if they don't even care. Is it because I have lifetime alignments and they won't make any money anymore? I was in the market for a set of new tires (4) and when I got to this location, it was during their "Buy 3 Get 4th Free" sale. I saved almost $300 after all the discounts and promotions were applied. Service was fast, friendly and still professional. They serviced me for just what I needed and didn't try to sell me any additional add-ons I didn't need. I wish I could say the same for other service centers. These guys are honest. I definitely will be returning for more service! read more

Jeff was friendly at the counter and Adam did the work. They showed me some potential problems I could get fixed in the future while the car was on the lift. There's little pressure to get extra services done. They can do most maintenance or repairs with the exception of transmission work. They do take appointments though I'm not sure that means the work will guarantee to start at the time of the appointment. I will come back to be a repeat customer. read more

I had my front, and rear brakes replaced and the rotors in the front on a Friday in August 2021. I went out of town the next day Saturday evening, and ended up STRANDED ON SIDE OF THE ROAD! Come to find out PEP BOYS DID NOT REPLACE MY BRAKES CORRECTLY AND LUCKILY BY THE GRACE OF GOD MY MOTHER AND I DID FLIP THE FUCK OVER AND DIE, OR HURT OURSELVES! I contacted the PEP BOYS ON GRISSOM RD IN SAN ANTONIO TX, on Monday, Made a claim through their service website and no reply! I spoke to the manager in charge and nothing has been done. Its been a month now. I asked for my money back and what I had to pay two other mechanics that fixed my car DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE! When the two mechanics took my passenger tire off there was 1 screw in it and the Caliber was extremely loose and was causing my tire not to go forward. They checked my driver tire and it was loose on that side as well. Once we located the screws that I needed for my car, they were a different size so Pep Boys may have used the wrong screws! I also asked for a Senior Mechanic to check my car for possible damages due to my car locking and not being able to move forward. No reply to that either. So, I guess because we were not killed or hurt we're not important or don't matter. I say, WRONG! Your negligence could have killed us and any innocent driver near us on the highway! I must say that I haven't had a more pleasant experience with a car mechanic then I did today. I brought my vehicle in because my vehicle wouldn't turn on, turn over, it was just dead. 2 months ago I had my battery replaced by pep boys (on nacogdoches) and was a little annoyed that they might have sold me a faulty battery or it could possibly be my alternator. I didn't want to take it back to the nacogdoches one considering the job they did and I read the reviews for this pep boys and they were all great! I decided to take my chance and make an appointment but showed up earlier than expected and was greeted warmly and speedily. Albert and Brandon were incredibly professional, knowledgeable and truly amazing! The pep boys on nacogdoches didn't tighten my cables correctly on my battery, causing it to loosen. Brandon and Albert could have easily sold me on a new alternator or starter but were honest and forthcoming. They didn't even charge me for the visit!! You don't find a lot of honest people anymore, only greedy ones that care about money. This pep boys is a definite winner in my book! Pep boys should be giving these boys a raise for a job well done and to be sure you keep them there!!! Me and my husband have taken our cars to other pep boys but I am so impressed that i will be bringing my other vehicles here and only here!! I was in the market to get my brakes replaced so I did a search on Yelp and Just Brakes was one the first places that popped up, being that it was fairly close to my house I decided to give them a try. I did a little research online and noticed there was a coupon for a $99 brake replacement service so I schedule an appointment online for the next morning and I did notate in the comments section for the appointment that I was needing a brake replacement (this will come into play later in the story). I even got a confirmation email confirming my appointment despite the fact it was already after hours. So far so good...On Saturday I arrived for my appointment on time (9am) and checked in with Carlos at the front desk, Paco was very personable and explained my car would be taken back shortly and then someone would go over recommendations with me. I expected to wait a little bit being that it was a Saturday however I figured since I had made an appointment this would speed up the process a little..I was wrong. The mechanic didn't come get me till about 10:30AM (an hour and a half to assess the car? really? they literally took the car back 10 minutes after I got there) He took me back to my car which had the wheels and brakes already off and explained some the concerns he had. I knew the brakes were old which was the whole reason I came in but then he started getting into an issue with the calibrator and how that needed to be replaced and how the fluids were low and so on and so forth. He said he would get me a few estimates so I could pick and choose what I wanted to do, at that point I asked how long he thought it would take to get the brakes replaced and he replied "not too long as long as we have the parts" TIME OUT you mean to tell me JUST BRAKES doesn't keep brakes in stock? A business that specializes in brake repair/replacement doesn't keep parts in stock.. common. He ushers me into the office where I wait for Carlos to get me the estimate. He starts going over prices explaining the different brake replacement packages and of course recommends the most expensive one so when I mention the $99 coupon he replies " oh yeah that is for the basic brake pads but to be honest most customers that get those normally come back in about 2 months needing to get them replaced again" so these employees are knowingly selling a crappy product but still offering it despite the fact that they know you'll be back a few months from now to get the same work done again. How is that ethical? During this conversation I ask him to check if they even have my brakes in stock.. he checks.. nope not in stock. So I ask how long will it take to get them he replies "about 20 minutes" but to be honest the work is going to take a couple of hours because of how busy we are." Seriously? It didn't occur to anyone to maybe check and see if you even had the brakes in stock during the 2 hours I had been sitting there?? It just seems like it would be the logical thing to do being that they had all my vehicle information from the appointment request I submitted the night before. The store opens at 7 so even if someone had bothered to check appointments for the day and noticed you didn't have the parts for what I was requesting they could have been requested so that by the time I was actually taken back (10:30) the parts would have least been on their way or for that matter even ordered. At this point I ask if he can order the brakes and I can bring my car back sometime later in the week and Carlos says "I can do that but I have to set you up an appointment so I know you're coming if I order the part" Isn't that what I already did? Set an appointment stating what I was needing to get done, reconfirmed what I was needing when I checked in upon arrival and yet there I stood 2 hours later and nothing had been done. At that point I was done I told him to have the wheels and the brakes put back on and give me my car back. I don't have time to wait all day because these employees have no sense of urgency or comprehension of customer service. When he finally handed over the estimate they were recommending $568 worth of work(brake replacement, replace the caliber, fluid flush/refill etc), what a joke. The Just Brakes website literally says "And because we know your time is precious, we'll get you in and out as quickly as possible".. not the case! Anyone considering taking their vehicle here I would seriously tell you to reconsider. Update: Thankfully I was able to find an honest mechanic that was able to replace my brakes in a timely matter and verified I did not need a caliber replacement or fluid flush. read more

My brakes weren't working very well so we went here because they were close. I got a through inspection and they took me back and explained what was wrong and SHOWED me why. They told me what I needed right away and what I could wait on. The estimate was very well written and they tried their best to save me money. Since I was close to home and didn't have a ride, Brent, the office person, offered me a ride home. I took it and when my truck was done he came and picked me back up! The warranties were awesome, although I wish it printed them out with your receipt. I wrote them on the receipt so I would remember them. I had a GREAT experience and will take my truck there to get the work I could wait on done! read more

After getting a groupon years ago, this is THE ONLY PLACE I get my oil changes done. They are not pushy, they give me the info., and let me decide what I want done. Even on the day I went blank and couldn't remember the year of my vehicle they still didn't make me feel "like a dumb girl." Today I witnessed some GREAT customer service to make sure another customer had a safe vehicle to drive they were very informative with what was going and they gave her EVERY option possible. I'm soooo happy I went here for an oil change! I also had a loud noise coming from my wheel and other mom and pop shops couldn't tell me what was wrong with it. Just brakes test drove it and measured my rotors and sure enough they were really bad. I'm so relieved the problem got fixed and I'm so happy with their service. They are true professionals and reasonable. They were extremely nice and recommended things and were not pushy unlike another oil change place I used to go to. They were so awesome and I'm happy I found a new shop. I will for sure keep bringing my car here for its maintenance. read more

When I said I didn't have the money they put on my wheel wrong and also my old brakes were put on wrong also. Later during the week my tire fell off due to loose lug nuts.
