After browsing the online menu, I called to place an order for a large thin crust pizza with beef meatballs and extra cheese. Within half a hour, my pizza was ready for pickup. The restaurant doesn't seem to be setup for dining in for its a cute spot with ample parking and near a Main Street, so very convenient for ordering takeout. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the gorgeous, cheesy pizza - but prehaps I'll post another review with photos the next time I order from this pizzeria. The pizza was delicious, glad I requested extra cheese and the toppings wed evenly distributed over the pizza so each bite was great. It was a very thick piece of bread that was crunchy on the outside and super soft on the inside. I'd gladly get it again. The pizza was good, not great. I appreciated the crispy edges from the oven it's cooked in, but something about it didn't wow me. It was so thin that I ate more than I probably should in a single sitting. Their website says they sell slices, and I called to confirm. The employee over the phone told me they do sell slices, and gave no further information. After a 10 minute drive to get there, I walk in and don't see any cheese slices. I asked how long I would have to wait, and they told me they don't carry cheese slices. The only slices they carry have pork on them. What a waste of time. I don't eat pork, and I know I'm not the only one. I've never heard of a pizza place having no option for just cheese. I get that the restaurant can choose to run their business however they want, but there should be a disclaimer that they don't carry cheese before people waste their time coming in.

For Pi Day (March 14th) they had a special of a 6" mini pizza for free with the purchase of a 20oz soda. I got extra cheese and linguisa (a type of sausage) on the pizza. I also ordered six garlic not-knots for an appetizer. The garlic not-knots were very good. I didn't read the item description before ordering since I assumed they were just garlicky dough, so I was pleasantly surprised that they had cheese on/in them and a little crunch from the baked cheese. The pizza was ok. The linguista didn't stand out like I hoped it would and the amount of cheese on the pizza is what I would have expected it normally have, so I don't know if they added extra or not. That said, I'd rather have their pizza than Domino's, Pizza Hut, Toppers, or Little Caesars. Papa John's is still my preferred chain pizza store though. Two things that may hurt this Mountain Mike's chances of succeeding: price and location. Their pizzas are pretty expensive (for example, a 14" cheese pizza is $25). I definitely recommend signing up for their rewards to get discounts rather than paying full price. As for location, this particular strip mall is always packed, making parking very difficult. Being in a busy area not far from Southridge Mall is fine if you want a lot of potential customers, but that location might be a turn off once people try to visit.
