The overall nuance of the place reminded me of my stay at the Howard-Johnson Hotel on the Disney strip in Anaheim, CA (it was a great experience). Since I was able to obtain my x-rays from the previous dental office, Oasis only required one more x-ray to get a different view of a bothersome tooth. It was a quick trip in & out, but I've never in my 40+ years of life been treated with such consideration in a dental office. I made the entire staff aware that I have anxiety, & they treated me with care w/o being patronizing. In my experience that's rare in most professional settings. I was referred to a specialist because of the extenuating circumstances, & Oasis isn't equipped for surgical procedures. I recommend Oasis, & I've decided that these folks are going to be stuck w/me as a patient for a very long time.

I wouldn't recommend this dentist:…read more 1. When I had my tooth implant done 2 years ago, two assistants spent 45 minutes trying to put in some metal part right before the dentist installed the final implant. I finally had enough and requested that Dr. Owen do it because I almost swallowed the metal part if I didn't catch it. 2. After a year of pushing me to get a night guard so that my implant can last longer, according to Dr. Owen, I finally agreed to have it, which cost me $300 last November. I couldn't get used to it for a couple of months, and I set it aside. I spent $300 for it, and I can't just let it sit, so I finally forced myself to wear it nightly for one week in March this year, and I noticed that my gums were swollen and inflamed. So I went back to have Dr. Owen check, and I learned that the inflammation was caused by the ill-fitting of the nightguard that dug into my gums. However, I could feel a big gap after the adjustment; it doesn't fit like it should have been, but I didn't complain to them during my recent cleaning in May. I received a bill today stating that I needed to pay $54 out of the $108 billed to the insurance company as an "Evaluation " charge in March. I called and questioned "why I'm responsible for paying for the 'evaluation' that was made to adjust for the ill-fitting of the night guard. They said they had to charge for the evaluation first before they could adjust the night guard, which shocked me to hear that. If they had scanned the mold correctly to begin with, I wouldn't have had to go through the pain in my gums and return for such adjustment on the nightguard, would I? What's the cause and the effect of this visit ? Was it me who caused the swollen/ inflamed gums or was the effect of ill-fitting nightguad I ordered from them ? I always pay my bills but I can't pay for something that's not caused by me. During my recent visit I expressed my concerns of the quality of their stuff under previous owner, and I was going to give them a chance to stay with them for the new ownership uder Dr. Owen. Now I will definitely go somewhere because of their unfair billing practices.

This is NOT the dentist from your nightmares! I came here…read morefor a cleaning last year and the visit was much more personal and friendly than I could've expected. ~My experience~ Walking in, you're greeted by an energetic staff actually doing work (unlike a lot dentist receptionists playing on phones). After getting signed in (electronically) you get your x-rays. Following that is a sit and talk with the dentist on a dental and personal level. The expectation of the dentist is to actually have a personal connection to their patient. This makes the entire visit more personal. Much better than the usual: walking in, getting drilled, and crying out. After my exam from the dentist, I had received the cleaning from the hygienist. Got to try out this cool laser thingy on my gum line. Then I was offered to do fluoride (not covered by my insurance) and declined. Thankfully, they are charitable and care about my teeth and it was given with no charge. I really appreciate that kindness and find this to be much more than the usual dentist who is out for your money. Leaving fresh I now awaited for my next cleaning. Scheduling an appointment six months ahead can be an easy to forget. Luckily the staff is on the ball and called me before to confirm the appointment this week. This follow up was much needed as I had to push back a week and that worked great! TLDR; -Clean facility -New technology -Friendly Staff -Personable Dentist and Hygienist -Affordable -Pre-Appointment follow-ups

BEWARE WORST DENTAL CLINIC WASHINGTON STATE…read more I visited Vancouver Dental on SE 164th Ave specifically for a dental cleaning, as advertised. However, after arriving, they only did a quick check-up and told me that I'd need to schedule the actual cleaning for a later date. This was not what was initially promised or what I expected from their advertisement. To make matters worse, when I requested my records to get a second opinion at another dentist, they refused to provide them. This whole experience felt misleading and inconvenient. I'd advise others to be cautious and consider other options. Formal Complaint Filed Washington State Dept. Health To Whom It May Concern, Vancouver Dental, located at 918 SE 164th Avenue, Suite 200, Vancouver, WA 98683. The office advertises dental cleanings but, in my experience, did not provide the service as advertised. I scheduled an appointment specifically for a cleaning, but they only performed a basic check-up and informed me that they do not actually do cleanings, despite what was promoted. After this, I requested my dental records so that I could seek a second opinion from another dentist. Unfortunately, Vancouver Dental has refused to release my records, which I understand is a right I have as a patient. This refusal is both concerning and inconvenient, and I believe it's important to address this issue to ensure that other patients are not misled in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Giovanni

My daughter was referred here by another dentist, and the referring office had already completed X-rays. Instead of obtaining those records, this office performed extensive additional X-rays that ultimately were not covered by insurance, leaving us responsible for paying out of pocket for imaging that was unnecessary. What made the situation even worse was the way it was handled. The office manager was incredibly rude and refused to acknowledge that my daughter had been referred when I asked why they didn't obtain the X-rays from the referring office, despite the fact that I had phone calls directly from their office confirming the referral. But the insurance staff told me this plan was terrible and that I should upgrade it because it was too hard to bill the ala carte delta dental clear plan on their end. So I switched the plan in 2024 per their instructions. I simply wanted the chip of tooth removed as it was loose and made it difficult to chew. My intent was to schedule an appointment to have a crown seated at soon (but later) date. They took x-rays relating the tooth in question and two other teeth, both of which had had implants done years earlier. When Dr. Woyciehowsky came in, it was immediately apparent that he was in a hurry. There was the minimal of verbal pleasantries, then a glance at my tooth, and the news that the tooth had chipped and was still attached to gum tissue. He told me that I would need to make an appointment for next steps as it was late in the day. I kindly reminded him that I had a 45 minute appointment and he said "It's late in the day; I can't keep the staff here". I repeated that the only reason I had come in was to have that bone chip tended to. He begrudgingly said he would take care of it. He was so rushed that it was unnerving. He was speaking quickly and his tone and maner were flip and glib. With concern about his overall demeanor, I ask about being numbed; there was nothing gentle about his touch. He said there wasn't time, and that by the time the lidocaine was administered, he would've already been able to remove the tooth chip. I asked him if he wouldn't mind putting some numbing gel on my gums. He said that numbing gel wouldn't make a difference. I worked in oral surgery for three years. Numbing gel (aka: Lidocaine and prilocaine periodontal gel) deadens the nerve endings in your gums. It takes literally seconds to work and would have provided his new patient with comfort. He declined my request. Dr. Woyciehowsky told me I would only feel some thing similar to the pinch you feel when you receive an injection in your gums. It took him a few turns/tugs to get the tooth chip detached from my gums. It was not painful, but it was uncomfortable, and it was a bit scary as I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. No one offered anything for the bleeding; and when I asked, they gave me a Kleenex. I asked for gauze as it was bleeding, quite a bit. When I initially scheduled with his practice, I had explained that I was looking for a new long-term dentist and that I wanted someone who was kind and compassionate. Dr. Woyciehowsky demonstarted neither of those traits. The 15 minutes he gave of his time left me both disappointed and at ground zero with regard to now having to find a new dentist. I am a friendly, positive and happy person. I treat people with dignity and respect, always try my best to do the right thing, and have simple, basic expectations of others. I rarely let things bother me, but found myself getting home (a 2-minute drive) still surprised by the outcome of my visit to Camas Dentistry, and writing a negative review.
