Great food and service! However just don't get smoothie or blender items. They are watery and not so good. Little pricey also.

Was skeptical because the outside reminded me of peppermint candy cane but my boyfriend had the cannoli pancakes which didn't disappoint. I had the "hangover" omelet which had pepper jack cheese, smoked bacon and jalapeños. It had a good kick but wasn't overly spicy. The service was awesome and the staff was friendly. I really hate being negative but this was a very disappointing experience. I was charged incorrectly, the service was uncomfortable, and the food was way too expensive for the amount we received. It was like $12 for a small cup of coffee and a waffle and if you wanted syrup on your waffle, be prepared to pay even more. We found exactly what we wanted here at peppermints. A great breakfast with attentive server and terrific coffee. I had my go to diner breakfast: the home made corned beef hash with poached, homemade whole wheat bread. Yum. The hash had crispy bits of corned beef with onions and peppers. Excellant. My wife had a ham and cheese omelet loaded with bits of diced ham and cheese. Btw the gluten free bread option was home made and surprisingly good. Good local diner, nice people. read more

For being an out of towner, not a bad place at all. Hubby and I went in for breakfast at 1230p and no problem. Had the 222, substituted all bacon for the sausage and husband had the eggs Benedict with sauce on the side. Again, no problem. Waitress was attentive, got our order right and food was good. We were seated right away Sunday morning around 10am. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our group ordered blueberry pancakes, french toast and an omelette. Food was delivered quick. My first experience with real Greek food was a success due to this restaurant. The food was high quality, tasty and definitely homemade. The baklava was to die for. Service was A+. This review is based on my recent experience with breakfast. Great prices, family environment and delicious French Toast. Their eggs are worth passing on as they are usually under cooked. If you choose to go their for a brunch or dinner and want breakfast, its not worth it! We decided to eat at Peppermints based on the good reviews. We went on a Tuesday evening for dinner. It wasn't crowded and we had good service with a friendly waitress. My husband ordered the moussaka. He said it was good, but never had it before, so he had nothing to compare it with. I had the gyro. It was a good basic gyro, but probably not the best one I've ever had. My daughter ordered the Mac & Cheese from the kids menu for $7.59. I was assuming for that price that it would be homemade. Unfortunately it looked like the boxed variety. I can buy a whole box of the same exact kind at Wegmans for $.33! She did get a drink that came with it, but for the price of the kids meal, I would think they should at least offer a side or two to go along with the main dish, especially if it's not something from scratch. I think that may have been the priciest kids meal we've ordered so far for what you get. As a matter of comparison, Denny's also serves a kids meal with Kraft Mac & cheese, but it includes one side & it's just $4.49. Also, a place like Dinosaur BBQ offers quality kids meals for $6.50 & the main dish includes TWO sides. We probably won't be returning to Peppermints again based on the pricing of the food. Maybe we could try it for breakfast sometime, but in this area there are a ton of other restaurant choices, so it is unlikely we will return. And like another reviewer mentioned, with a name like Peppermints, they really should have a bowl of peppermints by the register! read more

For a diner, this place is really great! They have Greek themed cuisine plus evening specials. My family went on a Friday. The Panko breaded fish fry was really good. My French fries were a little cold, as was my DH mashed potatoes. He got the prime rib, and it was enormous! He said it was clearly frozen previously, but it was still really good. And he's a steak fanatic. All 3 kids got Mickey Mouse chocolate chip pancakes and the were adequate in size. Filled up my 8 year old with plenty to spare. My family and I happened upon Peppermint's a few years back and I've been going there off and on since. The owner is very friendly, always smiling, and really makes sure that your food is served properly. I like the atmosphere, if you are polite with the employees and other patrons, it can sort of feel like "home". The prices are very fair and I haven't ordered something I've disliked yet. read more

We had a terrible experience at this restaurant yesterday. It started with the fact that they had LOTS of open tables but we watched the manager dress down one of the wait staff for seating people at those open tables as they were "backed up in the kitchen." The fact that he did this publically, clearly embarrassing this employee almost made me walk out. He was surly and disagreeable the entire time we were waiting to be seated, clearly stressed out over something. Wish I had left. I have a bad back and standing for any period of time is painful for me. Because the manager was delaying seating people, we had to stand in line waiting for what were already open tables for more than 20 minutes. I was in pain, but nowhere to sit. We finally got seated, but then told our table was too close and that we hadn't been seated "properly" so made to move. We ordered and when our food finally came, the sausages were stone cold and the pancakes passable. My friend didn't each much of hers....we each left half of the pancakes as they got cold pretty fast. We wanted to leave, but couldn't find our server to get our check. Had to hunt her down. Overall this was a terrible experience and we won't be going back. read more

We stopped in on Mother's day for breakfast. We've never been there before but thought we'd give it a try. When we were waiting to be seated our server had the regular menus in his hand but another gentleman told him to "use the other ones." So he grabbed one sided paper menus and seated us. The menu boasted "Mother's Day Specials" there were many dishes on there, omelets, and pancakes. All were $9.29 and if you wanted sides such as bacon, home fries it was an additional $2.95. There was nothing on there that my husband wanted so he requested the regular menu where we found the SAME dishes as the "Specials" for a dollar less and they included the sides. So we ordered off of that menu. It wasn't busy at all as we had two servers competing for our order. Food came and it was..so, so. Took two reminders for our server to bring us silverware and they never brought honey for my daughter's tea after she requested it twice as well. Coffee also was very weak. When the bill came, it was totaled up incorrectly. It is a beautiful restaurant but we probably won't be visiting again. read more
