For thin crust, without traveling to New Haven, this is the best mozzarella pizza around. The pie is cooked in a standard oven so its not wood or coal fired which is next level. This is thin crust, New Haven style. Good value. Not overpriced like the place 100 yards away! Great service. Eating in is nothing fancy but there are a few tables. Pepperoni's is your basic pizza restaurant. The handmade dough is excellent (fermented over a couple of days) . It is solid reliable pizza and New York style. The grinders are decent and again exactly what you expect out of a Blodgett Pizza oven. Is this the best pizza around, well maybe not quite but is darned good and if you like classic pizza it is really good. I am not sure I would order much else from here other than pizzas , grinders and calzones. It is a small place and there isn't much of a kitchen. Salads are made with the veggies they use to build grinders. Nothing special but OK for a veggie fix. Ambiance not much. It is classic old school New England pizza parlor which has it is own charm. I'm writing a new review as we did give this place one more try and I am hoping the extremely rude man from earlier was just having a bad day and not always like that. The food is delicious and a great price, so for that reason they get four stars, but just barely due to the lack of good service but also the absence of horrible service, at least for now. Highly recommend the Italian dinners - they come with salad and bread and are easily 2-3 meals worth of food. read more

Tried this place after searching for a thin crust, basic pizza. We were pleasantly surprised! I was a little skeptical when seeing a simple website that looked like it hasn't been updated in a while, and no online ordering or delivery service option (DoorDash, Grubhub, etc), but decided to kick it old school and call in an order. The prep time seemed a bit long for a random weeknight order, but was hot and ready when I arrived to pick up. The restaurant is small, no frills, just a counter with slices for sale and a few booths for seating. I ordered a large pizza with sausage & peppers on half and it was less than $20!! The pizza was great, excellent cheese pull and a nice crispy crust. Not greasy or oily and the sauce had good flavor. My belly and my wallet were satisfied! Thank you SO MUCH for adding cheese to the order with a dairy intolerance note and hiding it under the lettuce and mayo....but only on half a BLT? Not only that but only one melted slice when everything else was cold, Did you reuse bread from another sandwich? Did you forget it was labeled as NO DAIRY and were just too cheap to throw it away and remake it? Literally never again ordering takeout from this place again. A friend ordered pizza from the next door pizza shop and I knew there was a better choice. Today I went to pepperonis and saw the sign for New York style pizza; and it was just that. Hot. Cheesy. Pizza for delivery is fine, as are grinders and calzones. A solid go to for delivery. Until my last order. Pizza and chicken parm grinder were fine/average as usual. Ordered a small Greek salad and a large house salad. $13.00 later, this is what I got. Sad looking iceberg lettuce, and a few tomato skins and feta cheese on the greek salad. Before I posted this review, I called the owner, who told me - "most people don't want the Kalamata olives, onions, cucumbers and green peppers so we leave them off unless you ask for them". Huh? Being a New Yorker, I'm a bit picky about pizza. Pepperoni's is a close as you are going to get to a New York thin crust pizza. Old school family owned pizza parlor that churns out consistent pies every time baked by the owner not a high school kid. Their pepperoni pizza is loaded with high quality slices, their mozzarella is the real deal, actually melts and doesn't reconstitute itself in 5 minutes like pretender pies do. My 15 year old even loves their Hawaiian pizza. The parlor is what a pizza place is supposed to be - a somewhat divey, hole in the wall (eat in if you want) in a strip center with guys in white T-shirts tossing pizza dough, moving pies from hot spot to hot spot in the giant pizza oven, sliding them into the box, expertly cutting them into 8 slices and handing you a great, fresh made pizza. We live 10 minutes away and the delivery is fast and always hot. read more

I work at a company in Simsbury . We have been using pepperonis for a while because they deliver and options in Simsbury for delivery are limited. We will never use them again. We called in and we were giving our order, and the person on the phone started sighing each time we asked a question. After a few minutes he said "well it is lunchtime you know."so we asked him if he would rather have us call somewhere else. He said, "thank you." And he hung up. He lost over a $60 order today, and many more in the future. read more

Met a friend and tried Pepperoni's Pizza it last evening for the first and last time. He enjoyed his slice of cheese pizza. No so for my sausage grinder. (Iceberg salad was fresh although bleu cheese dressing was tasteless, lacking bleu cheese.) I've never been served a sausage grinder with crumbled -think pizza topping- sausage. I ate about half of each, that's all I could stomach. Young "cook" never heard of gloves or frequent hand washing; from cooking, to serving and working the cash drawer. Not even hand sanitizer (which could have at least added some flavor!) Yech. There were 3 open restaurants in the plaza, I picked the 1 I had never been to and lost. read more

They overcharged us and refused to re-check the order. The barbeque sauce on the bbq chicken pizza is pretty aweful, but the crust is better than some. We will not be returning which is too bad since we live right up the street. With all the pizza places near by you would think they'd try harder. read more

Always great food and service. Pizza is one of the better ones in the area. Meatballs on pizza or in sub are my personal favorite. Dinner combos are excellent as well as are calzones. I work in Simsbury and we have ordered delivery many times from Pepperoni's Pizza. The food is okay, not amazing, but okay and is priced very reasonably. We made a decent size delivery order and two out of the five items were wrong. When we called to have one of those items fixed all we got on the other end of the phone (from I believe the owner) was attitude and an argument. I consider myself to be a patient and understanding patron and I understand that orders to sometimes get mixed up and that is okay - mistakes happen, as long as you try to make it right to the best of your ability and not give attitude and ask us if we are trying to get something for free. Our work establishment will be no longer ordering from here and not because of the incorrect order, but instead for the complete lack of customer service and rudeness. read more
