My husband and I had breakfast this morning and it was FANTASTIC! The food was delicious, the service was the best I've had in a loooooong time, and the restaurant was clean. I'm seriously blown away by the service, from opening the door for us to prompt, happy service. I'm pretty hard to please, and so happy to say that we will be back again and again! My wife and I have been coming to Pepper Jacks since it was on hwy 66. It was a bit of a greasy spoon back then but the food was great , as was the service. Now that they're at the new Fredrick location not much has changed other than the upgraded building and the addition of the bar. Food is still great and the service outstanding. The owners always greet us with a big "Hello". Love this place and highly recommend it. Just don't expect fancy. read more

Went tonight for Taco Tuesday. Around our table we tried the shrimp, short rib, and tequila lime chicken. All 3 were amazing. The shrimp was a burst of hotness and calm at once, perhaps the cucumber? The short rib had an incredible smooth sweetness that left me wanting more. My spouse like the tequila lime chicken the best. Loved the old place, and love the new place! Great food and we were pleasantly surprised to see our favorite server at the new location. The building is really pretty and has a great play area for the kiddos, and a great play area (bar) for the adults. My husband had to step out for a phone call just as food was being served. They kept is warm for him, which was awesome! Love this place and the effort the owners have put in to make it a great spot to eat. read more

Ok, so this place has rockin' burgers! Like wow! They can compete with the best of them. My reason for knocking a star is that the prices are a tad bit high, and half of the time I can't get them t answer the phone to order a TO-GO order, only to drive there and find the place half empty. Doesn't make sense. When you're competing for business in the food industry the easiest thing you could do is answer the phone. Other then that I'd say definitely try this place- their burgers are top notch! read more

We've been here many times and have never had a bad meal. So we decided to see if we could have my husband Mattie's 40th birthday here on the patio. The owners were very accommodating and even called us the morning of to see if we needed anything special. We said no because we were only expecting 25-30 people. Well at one point the owner said he counted 82 people! We took over the patio and had their staff running! They did so great, it's hard to handle a big party when people are ordering and then moving around. The owner Ryan went to Safeway to get Red Bull for our drinks! Atmosphere is wonderful. Food is so good. We've orders the Irish Egg rolls and they are delicious. Normally don't like egg rolls but it's what's inside that makes them so yummy. We have eaten breakfast at Pepper's Fireside Grill a couple of times previously and they've been so delicious. Yesterday, we visited again for breakfast & it was AMAZING. I ordered the breakfast tacos & my husband ordered the Rio Grande omelette. We both opted for the sweet potato hash. It was incredible & the portions very generous. Great value & quality food - Firestone is fortunate to have this restaurant in their community. Kelly was very attentive & anticipated our needs so well. We would heartily recommend this restaurant for breakfast & we're planning to try lunch & dinner there soon. read more

We have eaten here often, and food is generally good, but inconsistent. Today was a uniquely bad experience. One meal was great (steak), one was way over seasoned (chicken was all sage or poultry seasoning), and one was under seasoned. More than that, there was a family selling Boy Scout popcorn at the front door. The cub scouts were trying to hold doors open, but tripped me in the way in, and nearly ran my husband down on the way out. The service was slow and indifferent. But, the kicker was this: another kid, presumably from the same popcorn-selling family, was running around the restaurant doing whatever he wanted. Including sticking a toothpick in the garnishes at the bar and eating them. Then sticking THE SAME TOOTHPICK THAT WAS JUST IN HIS MOUTH BACK IN to do it again. We loved having this restaurant nearby, and I can take a little inconsistency in food and service, but the food contamination? Nope. We will not be returning. read more

People where wonderful. Food was okay. The flies were out of control!!! There were sooo many flies buzzing around us and on our food.

The food was excellent. I would not hesitate to go here again for the food. The service sucked. I don't know if the wait staff worked by "sections" or if they just grabbed random tables but our waitress spent most of her time in an area of the restaurant that wasn't near our section. We hadn't looked at our menus yet when she asked what we wanted to eat. She saw our water glasses needed filled and helped another waitress bus her tables instead of filling our glasses. Then she brought our check while we were still eating, without asking if we wanted anything else, which we did want dessert. She assured us we could add more stuff if we wanted but never saw her again. We ended up leaving and going to Safeway for ice cream. The place was practically empty so it wasn't like she was too busy. So. Food was super awesome. Green Chilie Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Service, needs a lot of love. read more

We were sad when the restaurant closed when it was over at I-25 and HWY 52. It's re-opening marks a much needed addition to this small community. We love eating there during the summer due to the outdoor area that they built that contains a corn-hole game, large jenga set and large connect four game. Give it a try! read more
