We called them last minute for a repast. The funeral was on Saturday and we called them on Wednesday. They easily accommodated our party of 50 with exceptional service and amazing food. Our guests were in disbelief at amount of delicious food that was served as well as the quality. The waitstaff were phenomenal as well as the bus staff. It was BYOB they let us drop off our deserts and alcohol and held them for us. Couldn't ask for kinder more accommodating people. Not to mention that food was out of this world. Came here for lunch on Mother's Day with a party of 6 - the food and service were fantastic! Everything we ordered was fresh, delicious, and perfectly cooked - calamari was so tender and perfectly fried, margherita pizza crust was thin and yummy, and our main courses (pastas, chicken parm, Marsala) were excellent! Portions are very generous - we are used to small NYC portions so we ended up over ordering, but now we have yummy leftovers. Staff were friendly and attentive; the chef came out to greet us at the end of the meal which was really nice because it was busy lunch time. This restaurant is a hidden gem. I am so happy that my boyfriend and I decided to check it out. The ambiance is very lowkey. When we got to the restaurant there was one other table, during our stay it filled up. Our server was sweet and attentive. We went on a Sunday and unfortunately they were out of a lot of dinner items. The food choices that we made were incredible. We started off with sausage in a red sauce and the sausage was so flavorful and moist. We could have finished the whole thing but we wanted to save our appetite for our entrees. We took it to go and it was just as amazing the next day. The half pizza half calzone was great because we got two different options. The calzone was one of the best I've ever had. The ingredients were rich and fresh. The chicken was so thin and crispy. The mozzarella was so fresh and light. The vodka sauce was to die for. My husband through me a surprise party at Peppinos on Route 34 and it was fabulous. Owner and chef Vinny out did himself with amazing Italian food. We had the back space all to ourselves. I had the chicken parmigiana, and loved it. The pasta (gluten free) had a different taste than the chicken parmigiana, but it was still pretty good. The biggest drawback is the ambiance. The lights are bright, and it echoes due to the tile flooring, but if you can get past that, it's a good, although slightly expensive place for Italian food. read more

Easily, the best local "Red Sauce" place in my area! It is BYOB has some of the best pizza south of Brooklyn and a very nice and attentive staff. I have been to this location multiple times since they opened for both business lunches and dinner with my wife. I would suggest making a reservation if going for dinner as they can get very busy during dinner hours Thursday-Sunday. My favorite pizza here is the Putanesca the pizza dough is "soft and crunchy" like one would expect from a true pizza maestro! The "red sauce" entrees are better than most places likely due to the use of quality ingredients. They are easily on par with LaCushina while it is true that Peppino's is a bit more expensive than the LaCushina (previous owners at this location) as some previous reviews have stated, I believe the atmosphere and high-quality ingredients trump the menu that was available previously at LaCushina. Additionally, the location looks much better now aesthetically than it did previously, so the slight increase in price is worth it to me. read more

Wow! What an absolute fantastic discovery. We were frequent diners at the old La Cashina and were heartbroken when they sold. Up until our reservation last night, i thought this was a glorified pizza place....I was so wrong. The service was amazing. The food was delicious. The portions were huge. The prices, I thought, were lower than similar places. I had the veal Milanese, something I always order when I see it on the menu. Best I've had in quite some time. I come here about twice a month and everything is delicious. A few of our favorites are the Linguine Vongole, penne vodka and Frutti di Mare is always fresh. The dough they use for the pizza and Bruschetta is hard to find anywhere else, crunchy and tasty all by itself. Mozzarella Carrozza Special. Different than I'm used to. Wasn't deep fried, no crispy skin. But it was very good. Chicken parm very good, but they did a trick I've now seen twice. The top cutlet had melted mutz, but it partially covers the second cutlet which does not have any mutz on it. I think that's deceitful. SHRIMP A'LA VINCENZ- very good, but the cream sauce was too rich to finish dish. Three of us ordered shrimp in different sauces, and all 3 had the tails on them. All of us found it difficult to get the tails off while it's was covered with sauce. I wish they took the tails off before it was cooked. Tiramisu was great. Seemed like we had a new waiter, and he didn't write the order down and kept coming back to the table to make sure it he got it right. Which he didn't. After correcting him a few times it seemed like he got it down, but when the order came there were still some minor mistakes. Outstanding food, portions are plentifully. Service is attentive even on a busy night we you could see the staff hustle. Owner came out of kitchen and checked on us and asked how everything was - you don't get that anymore anyplace. The restaurant has gone thru an extreme makeover and fresh menu. Noticed other reviews comment on the price point and you get what you pay for in this restaurant.
