This is a great outdoor concert venue. It is located next to the Fort Tuthill Fairgrounds and the Luke AFB Fort Tuthill complex. We honestly discovered it by accident while hiking around the area. We were drawn in by the awesome music being played by the flagstaff symphony and then realized they had a free Forth of July Concert happening later that day. The Amphitheater was nice and clean and offered a great outdoor concert venue. read more

This is by far one of my fav venues. The staff is always so efficient and it has a good ambiance.

Gorgeous venue surrounded by trees with views of thousands of stars at night. Some of the staff was nice, others (security) were creating arbitrary rules and being extremely rude right off the bat. Seriously power tripping. read more

We love the concerts at Pepsi Amphitheater! This weekend we went to see Milky Chance who absolutely did not disappoint- the energy of this band, the instruments and talent is such a vibe! If you enjoy guitar than you would love these guys live! Young the Giant headlined and it was the first time I have seen them also ~ although I wasn't a fan of how they started out, it doesn't take away from the singers voice and the acoustics. The amphitheater is always clean when we attend. They are very organized and the bathrooms are pretty clean considering the amount of traffic. There is enough lawn area for everyone to enjoy and what is nice is at night it's not hot so being a blanket if your like me and are not a fan of cold feet. The one thing I will say I do not like about this place is the security as you walk in. I respect safety 100% but some of these people are just rude, talk rude and have no personality which is a vibe killer! But it's part of the process so we digress. If you have not been up to Flagstaff for a concert I highly recommend it! Also you can pregame in the parking lot (fyi) to save you a little money on the beer because it is very expensive lol read more

I recently attended my first concert at Pepsi Ampitheater and I'm definitely a fan. We saw Toad the Wet Sprocket and Rusted Root perform on a Wednesday evening. I'm not a die hard fan of either band, nor of attending concerts in general, but this venue is awesome. I love that it's inside Fort Tuthill Park. There is plenty of parking (which you do have to pay for), and then lawn seating in addition to the covered seating. It's a very laid back venue (or perhaps it was just due to the bands I saw performing), but I like it that way! You're in a National Park, enjoying the natural beauty, and getting to see a concert to boot. Acoustics were great and staff was friendly. We happened to attend on the night that the Tito's Airstream Stardust Lounge was onsite as part of their Route 66 tour. That was super cool as we were able to play cornhole and get Tito's schwag, talk to their cool peeps working, etc... The Tito's Route 66 signature drinks went down easy and enhanced the concert too. Perhaps they can make that a more permanent feature?! I hope to return to see future concerts at this venue. Flagstaff has become a happy place for my family and I to escape the Valley summer here and there, so being able to attend concerts at Pepsi Ampitheater just adds to the fun! read more

I LOVED this venue! I didn't even know it existed until I saw Michael Franti there. Oh my goodness, I had such a spectacular time. The staff were all friendly, attentive and courteous. The location itself, in the trees is gorgeous. They do have some shaded seated areas, I'm sure are first come first serve, or even VIP in some instances. I was fortunate enough to get close up seating and it was intimate. It didn't feel there were as many people there as there probably were. It just felt perfect. Coming up from the city I was expecting it to be like other outside venues but something about it was much more special than being in the valley. There was plenty of parking although, a charge. Keep this in mind because I cannot imagine one can get out of paying and still being close enough to walk. I do believe it's also a no smoking venue because of the trees. I don't want to throw anyone under the bus, but there were cans full of water that someone let me smoke by and extinguish my ashes into. Not just myself, but others as well. It was was a wonderful experience and I will likely keep my eye out for other shows playing here. read more

Attended the Pickin in the Pines (bluegrass) festival for the first time this year. The venue is outdoor -with a small covered portion. Our group was able to find a nice spot on the grass. The bathroom facilities were kept up pretty well. Verizon cell service wasn't the greatest at this venue. read more

Very nice outdoor venue with beautiful surroundings. My gripe is the parking. It is not lit up at night and more importantly the path from the venue to the parking lot is not lit up. It is quite a long path and you walk in complete darkness, unsure if you are headed in the right direction. read more

This venue is absolutely beautiful and being out in nature while enjoying live music is incredible. However, we had pavilion tickets for the Jazz in the Pines music festival and traveled from Texas for it and found the situation very disorganized. It is monsoon season and the day of the show we were getting alerts of flash flooding in the area where there Pepsi Amphitheater is. We tried calling, but kept getting voicemail. We went to the website and were directed to a Facebook page where other ticket holders were asking if the show was even happening. We decided we would wait out the rain and go in the late afternoon to catch the headlining acts, who we were told would start at 5pm when we called the week prior to the concert. Then after we sat around much of the day waiting, someone posted on the FB page that the headliners were going on "now"! It was 3:30! We got to the amphitheater as quickly as we could, but we only saw about twenty minutes of their performance. While they were incredible and the venue stunning, better communication would have been very much appreciated. Had we waited to get there by 5:00, the show would have been OVER. We are grateful we got to see part of the show, but it was disappointing that it could have been different. read more

Jamming in the pines....Yes please! I have seen two concerts here and the first thing I noticed was how great the acoustics were. Which should be the most important thing when choosing a music venue. Loads of parking, grass lawn and tall pines have solidified this as a top notch amphitheater. There is nothing better than being able to take pictures of you and your friends at a venue that has a backdrop right out of a magazine. There was also a photo booth and activities to keep you entertained until the headliner gets on. A quick guide from things that I have learned on my few visits. I will preface this by saying that every concert may be different so please take with a grain of salt. As you enter you will most likely be stopped on your way in and pay a $5 parking fee. Don't park in the outskirts there has always been amazing parking forward the front. If this scares you have a buddy get out early and walk closer to see if there is that killer spot waiting for you. Bring cash to speed things up. I have learned to bring cash to any venue nowadays and I always bring way more than I think I will need. After a couple beers and a t-shirt I always find myself short. Cash is king still and I find it to be way more efficient especially when the venues are far away from reliable connection. If you are planning to sit in the lawn there are a few things that you will NOT want to leave off of your list. 1.Bring a blanket grass has a tendency to stay moist which can lead to soggy bottoms. (Not FUN) 2.You will thank me over and over for this tip...BRING mosquito repellent. One concert we had to leave early because of the amount of mosquitos. Be prepared to share because you will be the only with a defense and everyone will be searching for relief. 3.Bring a light hoodie or even a full blown down jacket depending on the season. Lawns have a tendency to get chilly even if it was 85 degrees all day. Better safe than sorry. 4.If you can find one of those low profile chairs that sit just off the ground bring it! Not only will you get some comfort but most importantly you will have a beverage holder.( I have donated many a $6 beer to the lawn by setting my brew down on a slanted surface) 5. Get there early. You don't have anything better to do. You will beat the crazy lines for the drinks and food and get a primo spot on the lawn. There is plenty to do while waiting for your favorite group and I have found some amazing jams by sitting in on the openers. 6. Last but not least I always bring some of those dollar store ear plugs. When I was a young buck my rule was the louder the better. Now that I am a old fart a little relief from the intense speaker is super welcomed. One quick downside was the wait for beverages and food. It took forever and when we finally got to the front they were out of all the good stuff (before the concert even started!!) The bartenders were chatting up a buddy which made me kind of peeved! The best thing to do is send one member of the group to wait in shifts to get brew. This will prevent the whole group from missing the entire show. *quick note bring all you need the first time I do not believe there is readmission. I also saw a few folks smoking cigarettes and vaporizers so I assume they are permitted but please check with the venue first!! Hope this helps ROCK ON EVERYONE!! read more

I struggled with my star rating on this one. I LOVE the amphitheater and seeing artists there, and that's why I ultimately gave it the stars I did. Grass lawn on a hillside above a lovely amphitheater - good acoustics, beautiful isolated setting, no outside sounds creep in. I've been to a number of shows when it was "Pine Mountain Amphitheater". I went to Prairie Home Companion there yesterday. First big performance under new management & new name, and they missed the mark. I think they just haven't figured out the Flagstaff audience yet. And Flag folks love their identify and hate being pigeon-holed with Phoenix! Pros: - No parking fee (at least yesterday. There have been parking fees at previous performances). - Friendly, smiling staff (even as food ran out and folks got grumpy) - Local food options (add local beer too!) - Large selection of beers, and beer vendors (canned) scattered around the edges - Extra port-a-potties (clean! even at end of show) for the sold out crowd (just add a few more & hand sanitizer) - Mixed drink options. Although I mainly saw folks drinking beer (this is summer in Flag after all) - Tables on the edges to sit and eat. Although not many people did. Cons: - Steep extra fees for a ticket, and no local ticket outlets. - Can't bring in our own food. Bringing my own picnic was one of the fun parts of previous shows. And helps keep shows affordable. - Very limited food options, and they ran out of food. They are trying to cater each menu to the anticipated crowd. But only 1 "real" food option and it's an overpriced smoked salmon plate? Everything else was a dessert. I think they definitely overestimated the tastes of Flagstaff NPR listeners. How about a bag of salty chips to go with my beer on a hot sunny day? (maybe mid-70s is cool in Phoenix but it was one of our first warm summer days in Flag and we were sitting in the sun for a few hours) - Big list of things that can/can't be brought in - and then no one checked bags. That, combined with the lack of food, was really frustrating and there was lots of grumbling in the crowd when we all realized we could have gotten away with bringing in our own food. - Draft beer only at 1 window with 1 person taking orders, filling cups, and taking the cash. Long line there! - The previous reviewer brought up some good points about the summer's line up. Don't loose the small bands that make this place special, and fit Flagstaff. Tips - Follow the guidelines for what you can/can't bring in. They've checked bags every other time I've gone there. I'm assuming yesterday was an anomaly because it was a live radio show and everyone had to be seated on time. - Save the $ and environmental footprint of bringing in sealed bottles of water. Just take an empty bottle and fill it from the water fountain. - Low chairs allowed. But please consider the height of your chair back too. High-backed chairs block the view of those behind you. But at the end of the day, the Amphitheater is a fabulous venue, especially on a lovely summer day. I've thoroughly enjoyed every show I've seen there. Kinks with the new management will be worked out. read more

My Mom and I heard that the Flagstaff Symphony would be playing a free concert at the Pepsi Ampitheater on July 4th, so we decided to drive down and check it out! Boy, are we glad we did...beautiful setting and amazing music! We brought a blanket and sat on the lawn and soaked up some sun while listening to the symphony...can't think of a much better way to spend July 4th! read more

Loved this beautiful concert venue. The smell of the nearby pine trees and ample grass area to sit was wonderful. Sound system was fine. Only wish they had the Large outdoor movie screens with the close ups of the artist. But over all this is a really wonderful place to enjoy a concert. read more

While I love the venue, setting and sound I just despise the ridiculous fees they charge. It literally prevents me from buying tickets out of principle. I was going to buy my wife tix for Michael Franti at 31$ a piece--ok not so bad but when the final price appeared with 22$ of fees I immediately backed out. They shld be printed on gold leaves for that fee. read more

The Beach Boys were a FIVE STAR but this 'two tin cans and a string' management company REALLY SUCKS! Having read previous posts prior to visiting Flagstaff last Sunday, I wasn't expecting to have better performance from the management and so I was forewarned. The advertising that they did was non-existent; the seating arrangement was incorrect; the tickets that I ordered were for end seats but came for mid-row seats; the general parking was to be at no charge but it cost $5; half of the beers listed on the menu were not available; they had no one at the exit from the park to direct traffic when the show was over; the 'warm-up' bunch was far too loud (seniors who like the Beach Boys still have their hearing!); and on and on! Had they advertised, I'm sure that they could have sold out the reserved seating where the highest priced seats had $1.95 card table chairs - you can find better at Goodwill! Other than that, the weather was great and so were the Beach Boys!! read more
