I cannot emphasize enough how much Mayra helped the day of my wedding. Everything went off without a hitch, and I didn't have to lift a finger. I just showed up at the venue, drank champagne with my friends, and walked out into an amazing ceremony and reception. She made my vision come to life! Peregrinas also handled my florals and they were gorgeous. Better than I could have imagined. We were planning our wedding on a budget, and they were willing to find solutions within that budget. Other places had a minimum fee to even bother taking our business, but not them. The day of the wedding there were sudden changes people wanted to make to the ceremony, but when I said, This is what I want/need, Mayra took care of it and I didn't have to worry about it again. I am writing a review for my wedding that took place in April of 2017. I met Yatza during my first ever trip to the Santa Fe Springs swap meet. I happened to pass by her booth and was mesmerized by the beautiful displays she had. I was hesitant at first because I found a florist at a night swap meet, especially when I had no intention to do so... but believe me soon that didn't matter. After a 5 minute talk with Yatza and seeing her work the location where she displayed her beautiful art meant absolutely nothing. I kept coming back to see her, each time with a different person to show them the displays and pictures she had. Each and every single person agreed she had what it takes to make a special night extra magical. We booked her services a year before the wedding, maybe a year and a few months. We talked a lot during the year leading to the wedding. Monthly, weekly and even daily sometimes. Within the time we first booked Peregrina's Flowers to the time we had to actually get down and hash out details their small booth had evolved to an actual store front. I got to know Yatza and Mayra much better once we got down to the nitty gritty. They both worked so closely with me, my now husband and my mother. I have to say we weren't the easiest bunch to work with because they had 3 opinions and ideas to merge together to make our dreams realized. Our vision wasn't limited to the things they had displayed at their booth or store. We dreamed it, they made it happen. I didn't hear any No's, if you throw a challenge their way they will do what it takes to make it happen. The first "test" was the delivery of the wedding invitations. This was the first time they were actually producing real product for us. I have to say I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY. I was nervous because our requests like the type of paper and ink made things complicated with printing etc. But they made it happen! I received so many compliments about the invitations. They took my breath away. The most important part of all! The wedding day. They were there early in the morning setting up, taking care of every detail. They stayed through the ceremony and didn't leave until the party got started. They made sure the magic happened, that was their mission. I don't want to go through every detail from every meeting we had because this review is long enough already but I do want to say that Peregrina's Flowers is absolutely amazing. It's a true art that they have perfected. I don't think anyone else could have delivered what I wanted. I now see how this business was able to evolve from a small booth to an actual store. I have said it time and time again. I know at some point I will see this business on some reality show planning a famous celebrities wedding and I will feel lucky that I was able to work with them years before they hit it extra big. It has been about three months since I got married and after a long overdue review here I am Mayra & Yatza! I promised but after I got married life has been a rollercoaster, from car accident to buying a new home. One day after calling several florists and experiencing less than helpful staff I found my saving grace in a florist. It was Mayra answering her phone at about 5:56 pm and they are suppose to close at 6pm! She stayed on the phone with me listening to my needs for my small wedding dinner, not once felt rushed talking to her. She was more than accommodating at every single turn from providing me with quotes to quickly adjusting to whatever changes I made. After meeting her I knew she was a truly warm soul and that this cute shop was going somewhere if she kept up her genuine customer service. The flowers were beautiful, the centerpieces to for the dinner were so cute people wanted to take them home and I let them. They came out just as I imagined and my bouquet was perfect! Mayra even custom made our credenza table cover for my cake pop and photo area, the perfect color and size as well. We can't say enough about Yatza and Mayra of Peregrinas Flowers. They were very nice, sweet and just the absolute best! They were able to work around our budget and provide us with the best floral arrangement for our wedding. My wife described her vision and showed them some pictures of the styles she liked and they instantly knew everything she wanted. Her cascade bouquet came out to be even better than she had hoped for in what she described as "perfect!" We wanted a specific vase for our centerpieces as we were going to put betta fish in them to go with our blue-ish hydrangeas mixed with white carnations, white roses and eucalyptus leaves and they were able to get us ones that did just that. For our flower girls, they made them flower crowns and suggested pomander balls for them to hold cause our church didn't allow the dropping of flower petals. The best part was their customer service. From the very start it was so easy to communicate with them and they were very tentative to our needs. They even came to our wedding and helped move the arrangements around and transfer them from the church to the venue after the ceremony. My wife absolutely loved how they made her feel comfortable and showed that they were just as happy for our wedding as we were and that ultimately swayed us to go with them. We cannot thank Yatza and Mayra enough! We decided to book an appointment and to our surprise their rental fees are comparable to other companies that we looked into. We rented tables, chairs, linens, lighting, and champagne glasses. I recently got married and my experience was not at all what i expected. Not that the flowers were not beautiful. They were just not all the ones we agreed upon just a couple weeks prior during my flower trial. I got a call from them days before my wedding. Telling me the flowers they had just used for the trial were no longer available. Was told "i cant control nature". That there was "nothing they could do". That i had to choose "the" flower that "they" felt best matched. I felt pressured into accepting it. It was too late to find another florist. The way i was spoken to deserved no less. When i voiced my concerns i got Yatza, one of the owners, screaming at me over the phone. She made it seem as if i had done something wrong because i was confused and unable to understand how the flowers i was just promised were suddenly unavailable. I was also mocked about the amount i paid for my centerpieces. Eventhough i racked up a two thousand dollar bill which i paid on time. So i guess the more you pay the more you matter. My centerpieces didnt cost enough for them to be treated with dignity and respect. Take your hard earned money where it is respected and not taken for granted. Dont fall into their we are wholesalers and can easily get any flower routine. It was a flat out lie. In conclusion, their bottom line is only the moeny in their pockets. Not what they said they could do. Not what they actually wrote on your contract. Not your special day. Not you as a client. Take your business where you truly matter and not only their bottom line. read more
