I've hit up almost all the coffee carts and shops in Parkrose and this place so far has the best coffee! I usually go to Starbies across the street but their drive thru is sometimes packed, so I've been trying out the different carts (even hit up a bikini one by accident!) and I have finally found my favorite. I pass this place when I drive to work but it's easy to miss because it's behind Arbys in the back parking lot. If there's a line it moves pretty fast. The baristas here have all been super sweet and my dogs get treats from them every time. My doodle puppy has even start accepting treats from them when he is usually terribly shy about it. I love their hot white mocha. It is creamy. It is sweet to my liking and it tastes great. My other half loves their Mexican mocha and my middle son said their Cookie Monster blended drink is so good! Best coffee beans, they make an amazing cup of coffee! And i am a picky brat. Every staff member has a great personality and great customer service. The owner Yvette is often there, and she is such a nice lady. Even when she is cranky, and you can tell by her facial expressions. She isn't rude. I thought the bad reviews were odd. I've never seen her treat her employees any kind of way, not even raised her voice. And dirty? Also, odd. I've been going here since 2017. Maybe just a retaliatory ex-employee, look at the dates. So close together. If you are there when someone comes by who is less fortunate you are in for some smiles. They treat everyone with dignity and respect and don't treat anyone like a germ because of their presentation. It doesn't matter what side of town i live, i will drive all the way over to NE 122nd and NE Halsey for this amazing white chocolate mocha. Don't confuse the offer coffee drive throughs with similar names for the OG Perfect Cup Espresso. I learned that the hard way when ordering off of Grubhub. A favorite local coffee shop. I always come here when the line at Starbucks is backed up- people don't know what they're missing out! These baristas sure know their favorites and always have coffees ready ahead of time. Probably one of my favorite places to get a quad white mocha- tastes like macadamia nut. Their pastries are always a great treat, and they have breakfast sandwiches and oatmeal. They are pretty busy and can get their own long line- goes by quick though! I was looking for a new spot to try as I recently moved to Portland. Naturally, I took to Yelp to find something to try. I saw this spot and had to stop by as it looked like a cute little mom-and-pop shop. I wasn't wrong. This place is adorable. I got one of their iced lattes, iced. At first, it all seemed great honestly. Cute little family owner drive thru, the boss was nice in the interview, told me it was very laid back and nearly hired me on the spot. I bawled my eyes out after my first shift and honestly I don't even know why I stayed as long as I did. If it wasn't for my sweet coworkers, I would've walked out my first day. The owner Yvette is one of the nastiest people I have ever met. She treats her employees like garbage because she will continuously scream at them and say bad things about them behind their back. One time, during a very busy rush Yvette screamed at me infront of customers, and then turned around and talked bad about me to another customer right infront of me! I should've walked out right then. If this woman cannot even keep her cool during a rush, what in gods name is she doing running a COFFEE DRIVE THRU? There will always be a line. She expected me to move faster than its physically possible to. I was constantly getting yelled at to speed up when I was literally tripping over myself trying to keep up. Her attitude isn't the only problem. In no way does this place follow any kind of health standards. It is an absolutely disgusting establishment and I assure you all, that you can get better coffee literally anywhere else. The only good part about this job was meeting such incredible coworkers. This is the absolute most unethical business I have ever worked for/ been a customer of.I have 10+ years as a barista at many different shops all around Oregon, but never have I had such a terrible experience as here. The Owner Yvette Foster operates this business under the facade of being a small "family owned since 1995!" business, however she treats her employees extremely unfairly. We do not get breaks, she did finally start to offer legally required breaks based on hours worked, however if we got "busy" she would require us to end our break early and come back to work, she would require her employees come to their shifts even when extremely sick, which in my opinion (especially during a pandemic) really puts many employees and customers at risk of illness. The reason for this review is I'm concerned for the health and safety of customers and employees. They do not require or participate in avid hand washing, food items are left out in the heat, they do not adequately clean/flush their espresso machine or steam wands. They re-heat the same old milk multiple times and it is left out all day to collect bacteria and is served to customers regularly, old shots are also regularly used by staff. Her payroll is an absolute mess and often times I wouldn't receive my earned pay in a timely manner, she routinely uses and abuses employees then fires them and slanders them upon their termination to co-workers and customers alike. Overall this business is an absolute travesty and I hope to warn future employees not to ever work for her. I would also encourage coffee customers to go elsewhere. I would give this business a -1 star if I could, but 1 star is the minimum requirement, even that is extremely generous. Brooke and Francine are Great baristas and do their job well, and this review is no reflection of them. I worked at this company for two years. I am lucky I got out now. let me just tell you it was the worst job I have ever worked. The customers are so wonderful but the boss is so horrible. It is the most toxic work environment i've ever worked in. You have to deal with the constant mistreatment and bullying from the boss Yvette. She is an actual narcissist. Her micromanaging and lack of respect for people is one thing... But she will attacks your character and gossips about you to both employees and customers. I can no longer work for someone who doesn't care about her employees. The turnover rate is so high because she screams and belittles every person who works at this shop. All of her employees hate her. She uses old shots, I was the only one who ever cleaned the espresso machine. She lets the steam wand get built up with milk and doesn't wipe it down between drinks. None of the equipment is ever cleaned and no one ever washed their hands. I am reporting her both to the health department and the BBB. She is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. She has most of our customers fooled, they have no idea of her selfish, manipulative and toxic ways and I hope one day you guys can see through the facade she presents. The Hot Chocolate is nothing short of amazing. I'm not a big fan of caffeine so my drink of choice before work is HC from Perfect Cup Espresso. The staff are always friendly no matter what day or who's working, the service is quick and if you're a regular they will begin your drink when they see you pull in line behind other customers. I've been coming here for longer than 5 years and remember they were in Albertsons parking lot (which is now a Goodwill store). I will continue to support where ever they go next. Some of the best coffee is hidden in the Arby's parking lot. I think this place gets more traffic than Arby's, and I see why. I discovered this place over 3 years ago, when I went shopping for wedding shoes. I tried a White Mocha Kicker, which is a frozen, milkshake like concoction from heaven, with ground up espresso beans. The first quarter of my drink was good. But as I got further down into it, it's like the drink magically transformed into the most kick ass white mocha kicker alive. It was crack. I brought a friend, who started out saying, "It's ok" and halfway through her drink she was in love. She started going a few times a week. I go as often as I can. Now the kicker tastes perfect from the first sip, so I guess it just takes a few sips to get hooked from the first drink. Try the white mocha kicker. Try everything. Just try Perfect Cup. read more
