I wish I was as good at my job as Perfect Moving is at theirs. The entire experience was, well...Perfect. From the start, the process couldn't have been more seamless. When I got the quote, they didn't act like sleazy used car salesmen (sadly I had this experience elsewhere). Their prices were reasonable, their emails were clear, their reps were easy to deal with, and the logistics in terms of documentation and payment were seamless. Now, let me get to game day - just incredible. They put on absolute clinic in how to move an apartment's worth of stuff. They were like a well-oiled machine. All the big pieces were wrapped and packed without breaking. Everything was properly logged for storage. The loaded truck looked immaculate. Oh and they were properly dressed, with masks, and extremely professional. Honestly, the only reason I noticed this part was because another apartment was moving that day, and the other company had twice as many people who looked disheveled and the truck looked like a nightmare - in fact, I saw a random person off the street helping those other movers keep a mattress upright. Thank goodness I chose Perfect. It was like seeing the major leagues up against little leaguers. Even my building manager said he wished everyone would use the crew from Perfect that day. It was easy to get a quote and in the weeks before actually making the move, communication was clear and helpful with all questions answered quickly and efficiently. The moving team itself was second to none. They even calmed up the night before the scheduled collection as they were going to be passing through my area on their way back to base following another job. They asked if by chance I would be ready to have everything loaded thst evening instead of the morning after to make things less stressful. By chance that worked for me and they collected everything and had it at my destination the next morning by the time they otherwise have been leaving the pick-up point. That meant we were unloaded way sooner than planned and my move-in to the new place could not have gone better. I had a really nice experience with Perfect Moving. This was an interstate move of a studio apartment and I booked 2 weeks in advance of the moving date. I needed to update my inventory a couple of times and Brad was very helpful in getting updated quotes for my move and the price was reasonable. I packed everything myself in advance and had the boxes and bags numbered to match the inventory. All the movers had to do was wrap furniture with blankets and secure everything for transport. This preparation made the move very easy and the moving crew had everything loaded out of my apartment and into the truck in 45 minutes flat. Emir, Jovo, and Alexis were efficient and friendly, in spite of the fact that they had to move things from my fourth floor walkup. I highly recommend Perfect Moving. I had a local one bedroom apartment move recently and they could not have been nicer and I felt really reasonably priced. The move team in particular - Mimi, Jill and Elvin were fantastic. Very friendly and extremely efficient. Mind you the move was in a pouring down rainstorm with a number of outdoor steps involved and they completed in exactly three hours. At the end they even apologized it took so long given the weather. Absolutely amazing movers! Booking them was fairly simple and all via Yelp and their prices extremely reasonable for a studio/one bedroom apartment. I provided them photos of items being moved and etc. Then it was just waiting for the moving day to arrive. They (Almos and his partner) was given then 9-11am window and they arrive right at 9 with plenty of communication and they went above and beyond to make sure my move was painless and stress free. They were indeed very strong men haha! After the move was completed they had one more surprise for me... it was a Funko! Please think of the number of people who took this offer before trusting Yelp as a reliable representation of their customers experiences. *** I would not recommend Perfect Moving after hiring them to assist with my long distance move. When booking my move, I was asked to provide a drop off date for my items and did so. I was told by my contact that the movers would not leave NYC until that date. Considering there is a 12 day window for them dropping off my mattress+ I adjusted my plans accordingly. This information, that they provided to me in writing, was incorrect and they did not clarify this until 2 days before the window started. When I discovered this and pressed further they went dark. Then they called me 12, not the guaranteed 24, hours before they were going to drop off my things (the date I was told they would be *leaving*). I let them know this was not possible and, despite the fact that this was due to misinformation they gave me, they charged me $900 to adjust the date. When they did drop off my things, they sent only 2 people, rather than the 3 they sent for the pick up. They then propped open a door to my building in an alley way and left my things and the door unattended during the entirety of the move. I had to sit downstairs to guard my things. This was completely inappropriate and not something I would expect from a NYC-based company. Before booking, definitely consider how stressful using a less than moving company can be, for any but particularly a long distance move, as well as the mental and financial toll of an unexpected $900 charge. read more

Booked w the inaccurately named Perfect Moving because the telephone rep was so cordial, confident, and in effect reassuring. Paid extra to have TV removed from wall and dishes wrapped, as I wanted NOTHING BROKEN. After three months' storage and our renovation they returned my apartment's contents: BROKEN *Antique family table leg broken off and casually taped together and left in a corner behind furniture where I wouldn't see it and thus affect the movers' tip. *Two vintage dessert plates and a wine glass LOST *wall bracket for TV *one of six matching custom upholstered dining table chairs *40" diameter frosted glass coffee table top - cost me $520 to replace MISHANDLED *For a company with the insignia of the Mona Lisa painting being carted, they on the contrary did not how that a painting must first be wrapped in glassine paper to protect the surface before putting it in its external protection, which for them was not the standard blanket but cut up boxes to form cardboard sheets directly over the surface. Throughout post-return negotiations, the claims person was earnestly contrite, empathetic. But would not state HOW THESE ITEMS WERE MISPLACED. ??? I had not purchased additional insurance, so I can heartily thank them for offering more money than due me. After I encouraged them to increase the compensation to me, they ultimately reimbursed me about two-thirds of my expenses for repair and replacement. But what a bizarre unexpected experience to lose one of six chairs and a big glass tabletop!! I didn't know such things could happen in a move; I made the mistake of not reading the reviews of (Im)Perfect Moving, especially the one stating that the company offered him a good sum to remove his negative review, which he declined. read more

Hiring a mover is really scary, so hopefully this review will help some of you! I did a ton of research and contacted a bunch of different companies before settling on Perfect Moving, and even then I was already preparing myself for something to go wrong - nothing did! Our move was two steps - once from out of state into storage, then again a month later out of storage and into our NYC apartment. We worked with Duke's team both legs, and our point of contact in the office was Sam. Moving out of our previous apartment: Sam provided me with a three-hour window when they would arrive, and before that window even started I received a call from the movers assuring me they're on their way. There was a delay because of heavy traffic, but Duke texted me and kept me updated constantly on their whereabouts. Duke and his team (a total of three people I believe), did everything like clockwork. They put numbered stickers on every single item with a short description on a master inventory list. (If you have tiny boxes, I highly recommend grouping them together into a slightly-bigger-not-overly-heavy box, since they will charge by box). Our furniture (couches, desks, mirrors) were expertly wrapped. Sam was communicative with me, often within minutes, up until the morning of the move, and even when there were some unanticipated extra items to add to the inventory, Duke was very transparent about them and made sure to confirm them with me before telling Sam. Storage: If there'll be some time between moving out and moving in for you, their storage was great. Nothing came with any water damage or smell, so it seems their storage facility is clean. It's a few hundred a month depending on how many items you're storing. You also won't get charged an extra month if you have to move out a couple days after the month is up. Moving into our NYC apartment: A lot of moving companies will charge you almost as much as the first leg for the storage move out, but Perfect Moving only charged maybe around a quarter or a third of the price. This was huge for us because we didn't want to be paying for basically two moves. Duke and his team showed up right on time. It seemed like someone was always watching the truck so they wouldn't block traffic. Even though we told them they could just put everything in one room, they still organized the boxes for us so that all the visibly kitchen items were in the kitchen, and so on. I did my own inventory after they left and not a single item was missing. Every numbered sticker was there, which I thought was a great system to keep everyone accountable. There are definitely horror stories online, as there are with basically every moving company. But this was my experience and I'll definitely be using them again if I have to move in the future. I learned about Perfect Moving when booking my move with moved.com and I am so glad I did. To think I almost used any other movers scares me, since moving can be so disastrous if not handled right. The seamless move-out process: One guy came up to greet me (I forgot his name, but will update when I know it) and I showed him what'd he need to bring down, disassemble, etc. and 20 minutes later, his crew came up stairs with about 12 dollies and 1 dolly with a huge sturdy box that my smaller items would go in. I reserved an elevator to move out (they lock it for just the movers to use) and they didn't mind at all that the elevator time started later. The movers were quick to adapting to any circumstance. I honestly was so at ease, I left to go to the ATM because I knew I would need a generous tip. While I left, he disassembled my bed frame, disassembled and wrapped up my tv, desks, dining table with moving blankets, while moving my boxes out to the dollies, and gathering all my little trinkets, in about 2 hours. I still wonder to this day how they did it so fast. Moving in: I waited downstairs until they came, and when they arrived, they told me to just go relax, sit down, not to worry. They talked to my new building's concierge, worked out the elevator situation, and moved my stuff up in under an hour - not to mention that one guy re-assembled my bed, while the two other guys put everything in its correct room according to box instruction and helped me with anything I needed. This all happened in literally one hour! With a smaller new elevator, I thought it would take longer - but just like that, my move was done. 9am to 12pm - Jersey City to New York City. It really doesn't get any better than that. Perfect Moving, I wanted to say thank you so much for the easy, worry-free moving process. You guys came prepared for all of my items, handled it with care, and assembled back my furniture for me which I didn't think movers did?! Thank you, thank you, thank you! DO NOT USE!!!! I hired Perfect Moving last year for a move from NYC to NC. They gave me what I thought was a fair quote for a 1 bedroom apartment. On the day of the move, the movers came on time and were efficient in taking my belongings out of my apartment and into the truck. They assured me that I would receive notification once in NC about a day and time they would deliver my belongings. At the end of the move in Brooklyn, I told the lead mover that I didn't have cash on me to give a tip but was willing to send it electronically if he had CashApp or Zelle. He told me he had Zelle and gave me his number. He then proceeded to stand there and wait until I made the transaction before leaving my apartment, as if to say he didn't trust that I would give a tip unless he waited for it to go through! He then proceeded to tell me a suggested percentage that I should tip! I declined the suggested amount. I felt so insulted and disrespected by his actions and was concerned about how this interaction would translate once I arrived in NC. It gets worse. The day they were supposed to deliver my items in NC, the drivers called to say they couldn't get into my complex because their truck was too large to fit in the entrance. I knew that was a lie because I'd seen other families come into the complex with trucks the same size. They insisted that they would need to hire local U-Haul trucks to transfer my items into in order to get to my place. After an hour of complaining to one of the managers, I decided to concede because I needed my things. The men who unloaded my items were very nice and understanding, especially when I told them I wouldn't be able to tip them - reason being, the manager demanded I pay an additional $600 for the cost of the U-Haul to move my items!!! And he refused to allow the movers to move my stuff until he received payment! I believe the manager did this on purpose as a way of retaliating for not giving him the suggested tip (which amounted to close to a thousand dollars)! Needless to say, I would not suggest anyone use this company!! They lack integrity and are rip offs!!! They will give you a quote and then find ways to charge you more when all is said and done. They disassembled my larger pieces and problem solved to get large pieces through a small garden apartment door. I did a cross county move with Perfect Moving NYC from Westchester to Seattle, and this company was wonderful! Professional, well priced, and all my belongs arrived in good condition. Highly recommended if you need movers. The only piece to be aware of is that there is an additional $500 charge if you are moving to an apartment on a small road, as they need to rent an additional truck ("Shuttle") to transport from the 18wheeler to your apt.
