Total transparency - I have never used movers before and for the longest time all I would pack up was a suitcase and throw everything into bags and be on my way to the next spot. Well after 7 years, getting married and alllll the wedding gifts, furniture etc. I looked at my space and thought heck no am I moving this myself. We were also in a 3 flight walk up with unusually steep stairs and we had moved up there so no way were we moving back down. I checked around - IE chatted with Perfect Moving as well as another 'cake' like spot and Perfect Moving gave me the best price so I put the deposit in and was ready to go. Brad was great about adding the random items I would find in the back closet to the list and ensuring everything was according to plan. Let me tell you the night before I was SO anxious. I was worried that we had too many things that the price was too good to be true that something was going to happen that my boxes were too big or too heavy or they would arrive late and throw off the day (we had a LOT to do). My Mind went WILD (againn never used movers before so had no idea what to expect). The morning of I woke up early to wrap up the last few things and got a text from Rolando saying Good Morning we'll be there in an hour. This was at 6:52 AM and they were due between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Instantly, I was feeling a sense of relief! They were on time thank goodness!! They came in, took a look around and got to WOOOORK. Let me tell you I have never seen anyone move the way they do. Within about 30 minutes more than half of the boxes were gone and in the truck. All the random items were picked up and added. My mind was at complete ease. They started wrapping up the VIP items - I have never seen such tape artistry - it was incredibly impressive. Another thing I was worried about was our couch and our bed frame. They made it look like taking apart the couch was as easy as a walk in the park and then they tossed it around, wrapped it up and it was gone just like that. Same thing with the bed, and bed frame. Just Poof! Into the truck! The whole move out of the apartment took less then 2 hours. I couldn't believe it! Needless to say, my husband and I were both SO impressed and SO thankful for how incredibly easy they made this big life changing move for us. Additionally, my mother in law met them at our new house on Long Island and she told them where things go and this n that. It is very risky when a company puts a word like "perfect" into its name because an adjective like that more often than not falls short of what the name would imply. But, it absolutely is the right word choice in the case of Perfect Moving because our move from Queens to Manhattan was absolutely perfect and flawless on every possible level. I have very high expectations of people and places. And I did not expect our move to go as smoothly or incredibly well as it did. Honestly, I was a little apprehensive and nervous going into the morning of our move, despite taking weeks to choose a moving company, and really researching them. I even started analyzing all the top reviews on the Yelp pages of all the movers I was considering. What ultimately pushed me to choose Perfect Moving was the number of "elite" member Yelp reviews, as well as the number of reviews of Yelpers with substantial reviews and photos on their page. A few standout points: 1) Their rates and quote was more than reasonable and fair, especially compared to others. Very competitive. 2) Their rates are for the full job, not by the hour. 3) They were very (VERY) easy to communicate with, fast to respond to questions and continually in touch going into the move. In fact a day or two before, they reached out to not only confirm but to go over what to expect, to review all the items I said I was moving in case there were changes (and thus save us from any unexpected or costly day of added costs) and to see if I had any questions. 4) There was a genuine and honest desire to provide the best, stress-free (or as stress free as any move can be) and easy move as possible. 5) They followed all the COVID protocols to ensure a safe move. On the day of the move, the team leader of the Perfect Moving crew on our move was Rush. He called ahead to let us know they were on their way. They arrived on time (actually a few minutes early). What was awesome was that from the minute we met Rush, he was so calming and polite and really put us at ease within minutes of arriving. I knew right then and there that our move was in good (and safe) and capable hands. Rush and his crew were very careful with all of our boxes and items. And regularly he checked in with us to make sure we were happy and comfortable with what they were doing. Clearly, customer service, care and attention were the top priority. They wrapped all of our furniture, paintings, mirrors and bedding protectively, so that nothing risked getting damaged. They took their time to do it right. Despite his name, Rush never rushed the job. They did what they needed to do to ensure that all of our belonging arrived safe and sound. When they arrived at our new building we were stuck in traffic. Rather than start yelling at us or getting annoyed, they were very understandable and didn't charge us extra. And we finally did arrive, they were fast and efficient and moved us in so effortlessly and flawlessly. I can't believe I'm saying this, but there wasn't a single error. Nothing broke. Nothing was scratched. There were no marks on the wall. Everything arrived in the condition it was packed. Rush and his team put everything exactly where we wanted. Again, Rush and his crew of two continually checked in with us to make sure we were at ease and happy with the way they were doing things. And when the job was over, Rush checked in a few days later to see how we did. BTW, there were NO extra or hidden charges. What they quoted us is what they charged us, not a dollar more. I had some large items that had to be brought down 4 flights. my building doesn't have an elevator . They packaged items that I had forgotten about, and came at the beginning of their agreed upon window of time. They even navigated a highly unpredictable situation in which the police closed access to my delivery address. To top it off, their prices were among the best. John was fantastic, never expressing irritation, even though I kept changing the moving list--- a phone call from me asking to add an item, followed by another phone call asking to remove the exact same item. ...even on the day of the move. I can't say enough amazing things about Perfect Moving Company. This is my 2nd time I used them (3rd if you count my boyfriend), and everything went flawlessly. John Caricic helped me coordinate the move and was extremely responsive via email. Dzensis and his crew of men were extraordinary. They were punctual and fast beyond words. I mean they have this down to a science, and it felt like an assembly line where there was always someone packing things up while the other men were running the boxes down so there was no downtime. DOS: 03/04/2025 11PM Perfect Moving NYC broke my thirteen thousand dollar treadmill by dragging it on its side without dolly multiple times (evidenced by video). Tread no longer rotates. They also did not complete the move. They did not bring sufficient strong men to lift the 400 pound treadmill up the storage unit ladder and therefore abandoned my treadmill it in the public hallway adjacent to storage unit and went home. The size of my storage unit was 4x8 feet and was sufficient to fit the aforementioned treadmill. They did not bring the proper tools to reassemble the treadmill after damaging it. Efficient, experienced, kind, and helpful! What else do you need during a stressful situation such as moving. I've used them twice and they were so amazing! All of my stuff was protected and nothing was damaged. I also recommend them to other people irl. They are that good. Just be aware of the time range for your appointment. If your time range is, for example 10 am to 2 pm, that means they might show up at 2pm to start the move. So keep that in mind. My move was a 1-bedroom from Long Island City to Harlem. The price was reasonable (about $900) for 20 boxes and furniture with packing of all boxes and unboxing where reasonable (wardrobes and furniture). Note that the boxes are similar to the medium moving boxes you see elsewhere. The movers were quite efficient and really safe with all my belongings. Ask for the Biggi crew if you want a painless, efficient, and enjoyable moving process! We rented a separate U-Pack (moving container) to ship our things from Hell's Kitchen to Texas. We needed movers to carry our furniture and boxes down 4 flights of stairs and into the container parked outside the apartment. The less space we use of the 14-inch container, the cheaper the cost. Through Biggi's diligence and brilliant Tetris skills, our things were placed tightly and vertically (see picture). At the end, we only used 6 inches of space, bringing our cost down from the original quote of $3,400 to $1,700. Biggi went above and beyond by helping us Tetris up the container in a way that saved the most bucks. Although our situation is unique, I have no doubt that the Biggi crew will approach each move with the same ingenuity and professionalism. Before booking Perfect Moving, I had requested a quote from several moving companies. John, the representative I spoke to on the phone, was knowledgeable and courteous. Perfect was the first to get back to me and offered the most affordable quote at $325 instead of the $500+ that we received from others. For reference, we have a 4-piece queen bedroom set, 2-seater couch, TV stand, dining table/chairs, coffee table, 14 large boxes, several vacuum sealed clothing bags, and some miscellaneous items. The move took 8 hours because we only had 1 elevator while the other was being renovated. Packing and preparing for the move was longer than unpacking of course. I had a local move in Brooklyn, NY and had an excellent experience with Perfect Moving. I requested a quote for a move about a month out and received a quick response asking for additional information. I gave them all of my information for my 1BR move including all larger items I'd need them to pack that wouldn't fit in the bins (I rented their 30-pack plastic bins instead of buying cardboard moving boxes). Adriana worked with me through the quote and made multiple adjustments for me as I added necessary information. All of the communications with Adriana were great. She responded quickly and supported my requests as I had to update my move date and time multiple times when there were some delays with my closing. Even when I clarified some items about the move that increased the quote, they still came in cheaper than other movers by over 10%. Bin drop-off was a breeze. The guys came to drop off the bins exactly when they said they would and did all the work to bring the 30 bins up my 4 flights of stairs. They called beforehand to confirm I was home and were in and out in a flash. For day-of, the guys called when they were about 15 min away and were there exactly on time. My apartment was still a bit of a mess and there was basically nowhere to walk with bins stacked 3-4 high. I was worried I'd get up charged for having them help pack a couple loose items, but the guy gave me a reaffirming "it's ok. don't worry about it" and the team proceeded to clear out my packed items in record time. The movers were careful, considerate and quick. They communicated everything to me and made sure I was aware of everything they were doing and could direct them when they needed it. There were some smaller delicate items I had that couldn't fit in bins but I couldn't wrap myself and they made sure everything was transported safe and sound. Unloading and moving in went about twice as quick as the loading. I got the crew some pizza and drinks but they never even stopped to eat. They just cruised through the move. I think they had another move right after mine, which is crazy given how physically intensive the job is. These guys work hard. I'm now sitting in my new apartment with everything transported safe and sound and paid exactly what I was quoted. Very happy with the service on all fronts and wouldn't hesitate to use Perfect Moving again in the future. read more

DO NOT USE!!!!!!! I've moved 7xs in 8 years and never had an experience as TRAUMATIC as this. I provided photos prior the quote and clearly stated I was moving thus everything must go. The quote was the same as other moving companies I've used but MILAN seemed nice, he is a CON MAN BEWARE. The morning of the move his team arrived and midway through they refused to move everything bc of the cost saying I underquoted by 90%, I explained I didn't quote I just provided photos and even sold some of my thing before they arrived. They demanded me $940 to complete the original move but I was trapped so i said yes. I then got a call not everything fits in their truck and if I want the move completed, AS I DID $2,000 AGO I can have them hired AGAIN at an ADDITIONAL cost to complete the move. They denied the responsibility to move all of my things as discussed in both quotes, talked over me on calls, disrespected me, lied, MILAN IS A CON MAN. I had to hire a second moving company to complete the move. I later received an emailed asking to tip the movers and for feedback i explained to JENNY my obvious dissatisfaction and she send me paraphrases of caned marketing replies BLAMING ME. I had the best moving experience this summer with Perfect Moving!!! I worked with Lazar to schedule my move, and the team that packed + moved me was Boban's: Boban, Dragon, and Stefan. Lazar was very friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. He called me immediately after I submitted an inquiry, and within an hour or two of videoing my apartment and discussing everything, I was all set to go. In the following days, when settling the COIs with my old/new apartments, he responded to emails promptly, sometimes even on his day off or after work hours!! The moving process started out chaotically because-- lucky me, my dog had to go to the emergency vet at the exact time Boban and his team came to pack me. When he called me for an update on timing, I burst out crying and he was super kind and repeatedly told me to take my time. I ended up having my concierge let them in, and by the time I got back, they were almost done packing. I think they took about 2, maybe 2.5 hours to pack most of my alcove studio. My favorite thing about them was they were very thoughtful: - At different points while packing, they checked in with me about whether I wanted to pack certain essentials: doggie poop bags, the kitchen sponge/soap, my work phone - While unpacking, they asked me how I wanted to place dog beds, the couch, my bed - I was indecisive about where to put my huge armoire, and instead of rushing me or saying "well we already put it here, so deal with it," Boban actually said "it's up to you, it's whatever you want." I'm the type of person that HATES inconveniencing people, so I normally wouldn't have asked to move it from the original spot. But because he was so genuine in saying that I could do what I wanted/change my mind, I actually took him up on the offer, and we ended up switching the armoire with a dresser on the other side of the room. It was a super tight space, but they did it efficiently and kindly. I am so thankful because it would've been extremely difficult for me to do it myself. - Similarly, when we were leaving my previous place, I signed off on the paperwork without checking the bathroom and the closet, and then realized there were still some boxes inside. I quickly called Boban from the hallway and he came right back, and picked all the stuff up. He did it with a smile. I had a tension rod shelf unit in the bathroom, and he wasn't fazed. He even taped it together so that it could move in one piece to my new place, saving me at least an hour of time putting it back together... - If he saw me trying to pack something myself and I was clearly having trouble (like putting my poster back in its tube, fiddling with the vacuum, taking prints off the wall, or trying to put command hooks back together), he would ask me if I needed help and usually take over This was a huge contrast from a previous company I used, who watched me literally use my bare fingers to pry nails out of the wall because they refused to pack my string lights even after I asked them to... - They placed boxes in thoughtful, neat areas instead of just piling them all in one corner. - Everything was wrapped carefully and creatively (for example, small trinkets were wrapped in paper and folded into various containers they came across). Great experience with Perfect Moving this weekend! Moved from a 5th floor walkup in the East Village to 4th floor on the UES and they really hustled to manage all the stairs on both ends. Treated my stuff carefully (one small ding in a dresser) and went above and beyond in taking what didn't fit in my dad's car without nickel and diming me for being a bit over on boxes and the last minute miscellaneous stuff that always piles up at the end of packing. Didn't love the customer service call from the office at the end of the move asking how everything went on speaker phone with the guys standing right there though not the end of the world considering everything really did go very smoothly. Unprofessional and Disrespectful Behavior from Mover. During my recent move with Perfect Moving, I encountered disrespectful behavior from one mover, including attempts to inflate charges by adding unlisted items. This was a long distance move, and there was no attempts to communicate with me if the unlisted items should have been included. This resulted in an attempt to increase my bill by $200. As they had my items snd were in transit, I found this behavior manipulative, despite a representative from Perfect Moving claims that they were transparent. I tipped $30, which I now admit was too little. However, at the time I was frustrated by the additional charges and the movers rude behavior to my family in NJ that I was not thinking clearly. I accepted what I read on google without thinking more about it. Move costs depend heavily on time of year - for example my move in summer would have been 2-3X higher for the same move, which makes the 20% expectation unrealistic. I did not expect that the mover would then aggressively demand a 20% tip, and proceeded to confront and intimidate me, making me feel unsafe in my own home. He cited you'd never tip less than 20% at a restaurant, etc. and proceeded to yell at me he wasn't happy with me as a customer. However, tipping is discretionary and had I behaved as this mover during my time in service, I would have immediately been fired. It wasn't until I was shaking, in tears and demanded he leave my home that he stopped yelling at me. I had high expectations for this move - and even went with them over another company who had quoted 250$ less for the move. This unprofessional conduct was deeply distressing. We were able to understand clearly how our pricing would change depending on our inventory list. The movers showed up on time and were incredibly efficient. Here's my long story about how Perfect Moving came to the rescue. My mother "thought" she booked another moving company for yesterday morning. Not being internet savvy, she made a mistake and the truck didn't show up. We had all taken the day off work to help my mom move so we were pretty desperate to find a moving company for the same day. By now it was almost 1pm. And it's the 28th of the month. We called so many places but, understandably, they gently laughed. Peter answered the phone at Perfect Moving, and with his calm voice I knew he'd be our knight in shining armor. He worked his magic, and somehow, at 5pm, Bob the Mover and his partner showed up ready to work. Bob is a beast who takes his job very seriously, but we made him crack a smile every now and then ;) The partner, whose name I didn't catch because he was mostly loading and unloading the truck, was a sweetheart. I am in awe of how quickly and skillfully they moved my mom's stuff. Not counting the drive to the new place, I think the move took about 3 hours (1BR first floor to a 1 BR, 3rd floor, with elevator). I will also mention that there was a heat advisory, and sweat dripped off of me while I sat there doing nothing, so I don't understand how Bob did all that back and forth without fainting.
