Today My friends and I were enjoying our Sunday and decided to go for a girls spa day to relax. One of my friends recommended this place shes been going for years and untill today. We were talking and having a good time both of them were having man & peds one of the ladies arrive to do the manicure with a bad attitude and started to pull her hands and screamed at her not to move she. I understand she could have sad it in a nice way not with that tone then she started to hurt my friend cutting her finger and pulling her hand my friend told her to stop she dint want her to continue doing her nails she asked for another person she became more upset and insulting my friend and sad that no one could do her nails. When it was time to leave she charged my friend for a job she did not complete. This is unethical and the worst customer service we were treated with the worst service and we were kicked out ! read more

I don't know what people are smoking giving this place a good review. Not friendly, not clean and the two gentlemen who seem to be running the show can't turn over customers fast enough. I had a mani/pedi at the same time and after my fingernails were done I had to ask to get three nails touched up because the guy missed like the whole side of it. The place is small and crowded. I was trying to dry my nails as the guy was trying to make me pay, I was checking to see if my nails were dry yet before reaching into my wallet and the guy yelled at me and said "They're dry! $31 dollars!" Not worth it to save a few bucks- I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

I come to this establishment pretty often to get my nails done, because they always do a really good job. They take their time, and I never feel like they are rushing. There is always soft music, and the ladies there are very nice. I just go in to get a polish change, which is $7, and the color seems to stay on my nails longer than any other place that I have gone to. I don't know exactly why that is, but my polish lasts at least five days before its starts to chip. If there are people already there getting their nails done I never had to wait long for someone since they are heavily staffed. read more

We are from out of town and my sister was getting married in San Diego at the end of June. Wanting to get a mani/pedi, we went to Perfect Nails on a Wed afternoon with an appointment for all 6 of us. They got us all in right away and did an excellent job on everyone. I've never had a neck and shoulder massage with a manicure, but boy was it worth it! I think everyone, including the bride, was pleased with the effort and the results. Would definitely go here again, and the prices were very reasonable. read more

I've been to many nail salons in San Diego trying to find one that suited me and my needs. My first time here the owner greeted me at the door. Very attentive. Everyone was super polite. I believe it was David that took care of me, he was super quick and understood exactly what I asked for. I get my pedicures there and have been for about 6 years! They are lovely and always do an amazing job. Of course some are better then others (technicians) but I cant tell who mine is because it is already hard getting in with her. I was just going to let it go, but seeing that this happened with the same nail tech more than once within a few hours, I felt it was necessary to write this. I do want to make it clear that this nail tech was kind to me, and wasn't rude at any point of the interaction. Everyone working yesterday was friendly and accommodating of my last-minute call to arrange a pedicure. I just asked for the basic pedicure with clear polish. It took a total of ~30 minutes. I gave an extra star because of the friendliness, and because even the most basic pedicure comes with a hot stone leg rub, which I've never seen at a nail salon before. That part of the pedicure was very enjoyable. I also liked the massage chair, which was firm and not yet worn out, but also not so aggressive on default that I couldn't keep my feet still. I mainly wanted a pedicure to help soften the bottoms of my feet and to have my nails evenly shaped. My last pedicure was about a month ago, so we aren't talking about anything crazy here. It should have been normal operating procedure. On the majority of my toes, the nail tech cut them way too short and filed them to the point she was only filing my skin, and I moved uncomfortably multiple times but it didn't stop her. Afterwards I saw that one of my toes was slightly bleeding, while several others were cut to the quick. She must have seen this, but continued to use the nail tools without hesitation. I'd say it's a health concern, as you never know if the tools are being properly cleaned in between customers. It takes a LOT for me to confront someone and tell them to stop doing something, so while it could be argued that I should have spoken up, I also feel that someone who does this for a living should know when a nail is too short. I am getting a pedicure to relax, not to critique someone on how they're doing their job. Additionally, I know I just asked for a clear coat, but this isn't the first time I've asked for that and typically the nails look shinier than they did after this time, so I'm pretty sure that just a primer was used. I was also very turned off to how all the towels being used were white and stained with who-knows-what beyond nail polish, and although I witnessed multiple employees cleaning, I noticed that the wipes they were using were extremely dirty, meaning they were either reusing them or the place just got that dirty between cleanings. The search continues for my go-to nail salon in La Jolla...
