I have been a loyal customer to this salon for over a year. I consistently tip $40 on a basic pedicure and have referred multiple people here because I genuinely thought they valued their customers. Apparently not. Today I walked in without an appointment and was told they were fully booked and to come back in 45 minutes. No problem. I spent the next 40 minutes walking around with my dog nearby and returned exactly as instructed. When I walked back in, they acted like they had no idea who I was and asked how they could help me. After explaining the situation, they told me they "didn't think I was coming back" so they gave my spot away to other walk-ins. That is unbelievably disrespectful and unprofessional. If you tell a customer to come back in 45 minutes, common sense would say you hold the spot you told them to return for -- especially for someone who has been loyal, tips generously, and actively sends business your way. The complete lack of recognition, accountability, and customer appreciation was honestly insulting. I left immediately and took my business elsewhere. After today, I will never return, and I definitely won't be recommending this place anymore. read more

I have been coming to Pacific Beach Nails & Spa for the past four years and have always had wonderful experiences but will no longer be a customer. Before the change in ownership, I never waited more than 15 minutes past my appointment time, and I recommended this salon to so many people because it was reliable, well-managed, and flexible if you were happy seeing any available technician. Unfortunately, since the new owners took over, the experience has changed completely. I arrived on time for my appointment and ended up waiting an hour without being seen. When I finally told them I had to leave, I was told they could take me "right then," but that actually just meant removing my existing nails. I would have then had to wait another hour before someone was available to do the actual service. To make matters even more frustrating, multiple people who came in after me were seen immediately because they had appointments with specific technicians. It seems the salon no longer operates the way it used to, where being flexible with any technician helped keep appointments running smoothly. I'm genuinely disappointed because this was my go-to salon for years, and I never imagined I'd leave a negative review. The new management has made what was once a dependable, organized salon feel completely mismanaged. Sadly, after this experience, I won't be returning. read more

This is the first and last time my friend and I will go here. We made an appointment on Saturday for Sunday at 11:00. Clearly, this place is understaffed. They started my pedicure first, then told my friend hers would start in about 10/15 minutes. Still, after 25 minutes, she said she was not going to get one, as then I would have to wait. I love that all the pedicure chairs are massage chairs, they offer a beverage with your service, and even have someone that can wax your eyebrows if you need it. The manager called me dishonest, and giving false information... well I have proof that you are calling a customer a liar which is not true... check my photos. YOUR clock is in the background. Which was taken AFTER the rude greeting, AFTER I checked in, AFTER I already was seated, and AFTER she TRIED to be nice by offering me a pillow. Time on the wall is 6:43. My camera tells me picture was taken at 6:42. Fact: Angie, the manager is the actual liar. Don't come here and deal with this headache based on that fact alone! Blast backfire: I just won't come back. You have a reputation to keep and maintain. Which you're failing at. I'm not losing out on anything. Here's a tip: Listen to your customers and learn something. Note to manager, Angie: if you can do anything to improve your customer service, if you can learn to be gracious, humble, and accept criticism and improve where you can... give it a try! You as a manager should should swallow your pride and listen and learn from each experience and IMPROVE. Not go back to be combative with customers who leaves negative review and call them liars (I'm not the only one.) My photo alone shows I'm not. Thanks but no thanks. Never again. My manicurist who does my nails doesn't do pedicures, so I get my pedicures wherever. She only does elaborate nail designs for an IG following. If I could get my nails and toes done at the same place, I'd follow my tech anywhere for years! So you lost a potential long time customer. Your loss not mine. As a business your goal should be and always be...Get customers, do good work, keep customers returning. All along always providing great customer service and keeping customers happy. That's basic. It's really hard to find a great nail salon but this one came highly recommended from multiple friends at the start of COVID. I've been here twice: once during the outdoor requirements and recently after the move in (yay pedicure chairs). It was easy to make an appointment and their technicians are great! We were in town for a Bachelorette weekend and decided to look for a nail salon and this place had some pretty top notch reviews. It was fairly easy to reserve an appointment same day which was awesome for a Friday. The location is pretty convenient and close to lots of other shops. The nail salon is decorated really nicely and we were helped pretty quickly and shown where to look for colors. 3 of us got manicures and all 4 of us got pedicures. We were timed pretty well and finished close to each other, and we were also kept close to our group during the whole visit which was nice. All of us enjoyed our manicures and pedicures except one friend did get a bit tore up during her pedicure which caused some mild sensitivity. The nails ended up all turning our beautifully and pricing was reasonable. This place could be a 5 star experience, but for me it came down to a very simple, small fix....the cleanliness of the surfaces. The chairs and massage remotes had layers of just glitter and makeup and filth, and that's a really simple way to just make people feel good is wiping down the chairs more. They were pretty filthy. Pretty much every surface that wasn't for doing nails could use a simple wipe down and looked like it hadn't been for a long time. read more

I've had many a pedicure and I've gone to many a salon and I can honestly say this is one of two of the CLEANEST salons I've ever been in and the staff were AMAZING! I made reservations online on Friday night for Saturday which I was so happy to actually see Saturday had a lot of appointments available throughout the day! I had the refresher manicure pedicure combo, I'm not sure what the technicians name was but she was very sweet, she did a really good job on my cuticles but I wish the massage time would've been a little longer...I'm used to my regular technician doing a 10 minute massage on the legs...this massage was probably a total of 4 minutes.
