Had an amazing experience with Mandy as my nail tech. I requested pink and white ombre nails. She is truly an artist and always delivers. If you give her an idea or show her a picture of what you want, she will surpass every expectation. MV Nails provides 90 minutes free, validated parking. Bonus is the vibe and the sea breeze from the Pacific Ocean and the beach just steps away. Will definitely return.

One of the best decisions I made on my trip to San Diego was to stop in here and get a Gel-X set done by Vanessa. The service was phenomenal and I'm so pleased with my nails - they came out so much better than the inspo and I can't stop looking at them. Highly recommend this place!

Vanessa did a really great job on my nails! They are so sturdy and she perfectly captured what I was going for- dainty and spooky. I got the builder gel manicure. I am absolutely obsessed. The shop is new to PB as of May. I kind of hit them at a weird time of day when it was really busy and Vanessa was trying to manage a lot of customers and my manicure did take quite a long time. I wasn't angry about it nor did I complain but Vanessa was very aware and offered me a small discount on my nails to make up for the inconvenience which I appreciated greatly. I would definitely go see Vanessa again! I'm happy to see the small business doing so well.

This is my go-to place for dip nails. I love the "no makeup" look on my nails. Vanessa is careful and detailed. I've never had my nails this strong and long! Thank you thank you thank you. I'm consistently impressed and happy.

This salon was recommended to me by a friend and after seeing the 5 star rating, I had to give it a try before my event this weekend. I usually do gel nails but opted for powder because the technician said it would last longer. I liked the color and chrome application on my finger nails but they were super chunky. I didn't realize it until I left the salon so I didn't have the chance to ask the technician if this could be fixed. 7/10 of the nails were noticeably thick and wide compared to what they look like naturally/with polish. I had to go back to get them fixed. They were shaved down but still had a thick wide look to them. I would give the initial polish application a 2.5/5 but I appreciated how kind they were to try and fix it. I'm not happy with the end results for my fingers but considering the clean facility, customer service, and a good pedicure, I'll give this a 3.5/5. I'll round it up since Yelp doesn't do half stars. I would be willing to try them again.

Came here for the first time and got dip nails and a pedicure. Mindy did such an amazing job at the dip nails. It looked so good and smooth. The nails are thin and not splotchy at all. I also got nail art and she nailed it! My pedicure was also greatly done, but unfortunately I forget who did that part. Highly recommend this spot! Very clean and they had so many colors to choose from.

Very nice, clean nail salon! Only $12 to paint nails with regular nail polish (not a full pedicure, I just wanted my toes painted). Didn't have to make an appointment, walked in and sat right down on a Thursday at 1:30 pm. Nice decor, comfy massage chairs, friendly workers. Lots of colors to choose from. She did a really good job painting my toes!

Walked into the new MV Nails on a Monday afternoon. I was greeted quickly and able to sit right down. My nail tech, May, did a wonderfully thorough job with my cuticles. The painting was precise, two coats of funny bunny and one coat of bubble bath. She even recommended I add chrome powder and I am so glad I did. Overall quick, efficient, and beautiful work for an upcoming wedding. Very pleased with my new spot right by the beach.

I chose to visit MV Nails solely because of their rating - I've never seen a nail salon with so many high reviews, and honestly I thought it might be too good to be true. I'm happy to report that the reviews are absolutely deserved. Hannah literally took care of my fussy baby (who was supposed to be sleeping, which is why he was with me), while Lucy was so patient with me and did a wonderful job on my gel manicure. If you want an acrylic pedicure do NOT come here! I asked multiple times if they were able to do an acrylic pedicure, even provided inspiration pictures, and they assured me they could do it. Throughout the service I spoke up about the square shape that I wanted after the tech continued to round the nail. After it was clear the tech was truly unable to provide what I asked for, I asked her to just remove everything. She then said she would have to start over to get the desired outcome, but at that point 2 hours had gone by, and I did not trust her to correctly do the pedicure. My boyfriend got a regular pedicure, and it was good. When I went up to pay I was told it was $70 total, but when my boyfriend came up to join me they changed the price to $85. When I questioned why they changed the price I was met with an iPad being shoved in my face as they told me to pay. They were unwilling to compromise even though they were unable to deliver on what they assured me they could do, and for the lack of better words, bullied me into paying full price. I went to a different nail shop to get my toes done, and they told me the acrylic was sloppily done, and the person who did them was clearly rushing (Angel Nails San Diego if you need a reputable place). Overall, I'm incredibly upset with how they decided to handle the situation, and will not be returning. I hope my review can save someone their time and money. read more

My husband and I were visiting San Diego and were in need of a pedicure and we stopped here. They took us right in as a walk in. Which I appreciate. Plus they have free parking which is another plus! The manicurist was detailed and gentle. I showed her a pic of the color I wanted and she knew exactly what it was. Came out just how I wanted. The prices are reasonable. The ladies were nice and were happy giggling lol. Makes it pleasant. Definitely gonna come back when I'm traveling around here. read more

My feet were killing me after walking 10 miles yesterday on the beach I'm from Las Vegas and I came for a few days to San Diego for a reset but woke up at 2:30 in the morning with my feet throbbing in my legs hurting so I decided to get a pedicure I called MV nails and salon and spa and the woman who answered said come right in. I'm so glad I did. Her name is Holly remarkable hands did an incredible job on my feet and it was like the best Massage and she hit all the right pressure points. This place just took over for Q nails and as I wasn't aware before my appointment I was pleasantly impressed with the salon makeover and the service was amazing. They were so nice and professional I highly recommend trying them out! Right now you can get 10% off too. So much cleaner and the polish selection is amazing. read more

Love coming here! Super kind staff. My nails always come out perfect and Vanessa and the rest of the staff are so flexible! I attached a picture of my valentines nails....I had gotten a manicure the day before and it was so perfect but I ended up not liking the design I chose so Vanessa let me come back the next day and get a another design which was so sweet. Made an appointment for 11:00 for a fill and pedicure. I specified a pink and white fill. I was seated on time. The pedi was ok. She did not take care of my big toe as I requested The fill started, then she left to do someone else, I waited 25 minutes, then another girl did some, then the original girl came back. They didn't have time to do my pink and white and did a French manicure which is not at all what I wanted. Very poor customer service. read more

She does such an incredible job and takes such care of her clients. I have never had anything less than a deluxe pedicure with a Massage. 10/10 fantastic nail salon! I've been going to see both May and Vanessa for my nails for years. They are both detail oriented and talented at doing intricate designs. They always make sure to check in about how I'm liking the shape and color, and my nails last for several weeks. The salon is clean and beautiful, with luxury massage chairs and decor. Such a fun group of gals that work here. Very kind and gentle when working with hands and feet. It's right next to the beach so there is a nice sea breeze with some natural lighting! I spent the next 40 minutes walking around with my dog nearby and returned exactly as instructed. When I walked back in, they acted like they had no idea who I was and asked how they could help me. After explaining the situation, they told me they "didn't think I was coming back" so they gave my spot away to other walk-ins. That is unbelievably disrespectful and unprofessional. If you tell a customer to come back in 45 minutes, common sense would say you hold the spot you told them to return for -- especially for someone who has been loyal, tips generously, and actively sends business your way. The complete lack of recognition, accountability, and customer appreciation was honestly insulting. I left immediately and took my business elsewhere. After today, I will never return, and I definitely won't be recommending this place anymore.

I wish they would've told me upfront that this cannot be done. I would not request for anything out of the basic mani pedi here.

I was just going to let it go, but seeing that this happened with the same nail tech more than once within a few hours, I felt it was necessary to write this. I do want to make it clear that this nail tech was kind to me, and wasn't rude at any point of the interaction. Everyone working yesterday was friendly and accommodating of my last-minute call to arrange a pedicure. I just asked for the basic pedicure with clear polish. It took a total of ~30 minutes. I gave an extra star because of the friendliness, and because even the most basic pedicure comes with a hot stone leg rub, which I've never seen at a nail salon before. That part of the pedicure was very enjoyable. I also liked the massage chair, which was firm and not yet worn out, but also not so aggressive on default that I couldn't keep my feet still. I mainly wanted a pedicure to help soften the bottoms of my feet and to have my nails evenly shaped. My last pedicure was about a month ago, so we aren't talking about anything crazy here. It should have been normal operating procedure. On the majority of my toes, the nail tech cut them way too short and filed them to the point she was only filing my skin, and I moved uncomfortably multiple times but it didn't stop her. Afterwards I saw that one of my toes was slightly bleeding, while several others were cut to the quick. She must have seen this, but continued to use the nail tools without hesitation. I'd say it's a health concern, as you never know if the tools are being properly cleaned in between customers. It takes a LOT for me to confront someone and tell them to stop doing something, so while it could be argued that I should have spoken up, I also feel that someone who does this for a living should know when a nail is too short. I am getting a pedicure to relax, not to critique someone on how they're doing their job. Additionally, I know I just asked for a clear coat, but this isn't the first time I've asked for that and typically the nails look shinier than they did after this time, so I'm pretty sure that just a primer was used. I was also very turned off to how all the towels being used were white and stained with who-knows-what beyond nail polish, and although I witnessed multiple employees cleaning, I noticed that the wipes they were using were extremely dirty, meaning they were either reusing them or the place just got that dirty between cleanings.
