I used to go to this salon all the time although I moved to Poughkeepsie so this was way out of my way. I happened to be in the area today so I stopped in to get an acrylic fill with french design. Honestly I must say I am very disappointed. My previous nail color was not completely filed off and shows right through the clear gel. This fill looks like it's already a week old because the fill does not go all the way to the cuticle. $45 plus tip! Will not be returning. Vicky was awful. Rude. Didn't ask what shape I wanted and just did whatever she felt like. Asked for powder and she did an awful combo of gel and powder and only used the colored powder once. $45 later for a bad paint job, jagged sharp edges nails and missing polish on the sides. Karen here is very good but she wasn't available. They also say discount for cash and I didn't receive that and was over charged. Vicky shouldn't work there. My second time I went in for a gel fill, and I was charged $70 for a fill that they advertise for $50 a gel fill he claimed that he had to charge me extra for, get this I have coffin shaped nails I asked him to make them a little narrower on the sides that's it so he had to charge me extra $20 extra unheard of. I switched over from a previous nail salon about 2 months ago. Since the first time I went there the guy Andy had an attitude. I continued going because be did an ok job. The second and third times i went in for a uv gel filling and pedicure I paid $55. Went again they charged me $60, then $65. They said prices went up due to the pandemic. Understandable right? Then I went back for a filling and pedicure and they charged me $75.!!! Their reason... "you have long nails"!!! They don't provide prices for their services. They are ripping people off. Hopewell Junction isn't exactly inundated with nail salons, so this place was packed on a Friday afternoon and many of the clientele seemed to have a familiar rapport with all of the technicians. Andy (or was it Randy?) seemed to be everyone's favorite technician, but I was assigned to a woman who might have been the manager. The salon itself had an industrious feel, not meant to pamper or relax any customers - just get them in and out. I didn't mind the surroundings so much, but this was the worst manicure/pedicure I've ever had. The technician botched my cuticle on my big toe but then completely ignored it. After noticing that I was squirming in my seat because something didn't feel right, she mentioned that "everything was fine" and continued for another 10 minutes. I didn't notice what was wrong until I let out a shriek when she dabbed acetone over the toe. Why in the world would you continue a pedicure without stopping use of your tools, and without seeking sort of aid for a bloody cuticle? I wasn't even asked if I wanted my cuticles cut off (normally, technicians always ask or just push it back). She probably thought it would just stop bleeding and I wouldn't notice. I also realized that she didn't really care that she used a nail polish brush right around the cuticle and then stuck the brush back into the bottle. Eww! After the pedicure, the technician then tried to up-sell me on my manicure (offering designs or acrylics), and after I refused she gave me the sloppiest manicure. I normally always go to Young Blue Nails in Fishkill but tried this place as per a friend's recommendation, who probably meant to recommend a specific person. What a disappointment. read more

This was my first time here. I arrived was taken to the back, sat in a chair for 40 minutes without anyone acknowledging my patience without being spoken to about the wait. The price said, $30+ for pedicure. I got a gel pedicure, did not complete everything they did for another customer who ordered same request. 2 different people started with me and at the close of a "mediocrity at best visit" with unprofessionalism, got to the counter to pay and they charged me $85.00!!!! Also, a special needs young lady was across from me, while Jason was facetiming a person, mocking the girl to phone person in his native language of which I understood. Not only did they overcharge, underserve and behave this way, they acted rude and didn't care. I will never be back again. Karen did my pedicure and did not provide equity with her customers in the approach to customer service. The only reason I actually gave this place a star is because I have to. I had the most HORRIBLE nail experience I've ever had in my 36 years. I went there based on a recommendation from someone who goes there regularly to get their nails done. I walked in and I was greeted by who I'm assuming was the owner. The place was pretty busy. I can say that the hygienic conditions were subpar at best. I was told to go to a pedicure chair in the back of the salon. When I saw the state of the pedicure chairs I should have walked out but for some reason I sat down. They were filthy! The leather was worn and the side arm tables were covered in dirt and nail debris. The man who began to do my nails abruptly told me to soak them in the water. When he began to cut my cuticles he went over the same spot twice drawing blood after I obviously was hurt due to the reflex of pulling my foot back from pain! He proceeded to give me the WORST pedicure of my life. He didn't use the pumice stone for more than 10 seconds per foot. He didn't even put lotion on my legs!!! Have you ever had a pedicure with no moisturizer!?!? I haven't until yesterday! After the pedicure he sat me in a chair to begin my manicure. I asked him not to use the electric filer on my nails to remove the old gel polish but he insisted. He then place acetone and foil on my nails and stepped in the back. He told me he'd be back in a few minutes. 10 minutes later he returned and grabbed money out of his drawer and told me "A few more minutes" and walked outside. 10 minutes after that the owner looked at my chair and realized I was angry. Another 5 minutes went by and no sign of my manicurist. I took the foil off myself, walked up to the counter and tried to pay for my pedicure. After some discussion I was told that he was only outside for a few minutes. I simply asked to pay for my pedicure and to leave. I told the owner what the issue was and they tried to have me complete my manicure with the same gentleman. They even insinuated that I was in a rush! This is not a clean establishment. Unhygienic... the tools are taken from wooden bookshelf... not from a sterilizer. Pumice and file taken out of a drawer on a rolling cart. This guy fumbled through the drawer to find the pumice and the file. Callous remover... I was asked to put my feet on a magazine he had put in front of me. I asked him why not put plastic n my feet and he replied that some use plastic he prefers this (really???) I don't understand how the health department has not shut them down yet!!!! I wish I could give them a zero. Initially when I moved to Hopewell Junction as a Black Woman I had no problem with this place into today. I go to get a pedicure and fill-in the lady tells me to wait. I noticed she finish a customer and didn't come to me. I didn't say anything I just waited . As I sat there waiting for 40 minutes a white woman comes in and is immediately served. I say Ms. who am I waiting for? She points to a gentleman who is working on someone and she is free!!! REALLY!! If you go between Monday and Wednesday, you can get a $15 or $16 fill, competitively priced. I've been there a couple of times and am quite happy, other than the wait time with everyone else who wants the discount price. The shop is clean and busy. I recently switched from another nail salon to perfect nails. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about nails and acrylic/gel nails. I do like the discount you get if you go Monday-Wednesday. However be prepared to wait a bit. My nails came out quite nice, even though when I asked to do an almond shape on a gel set of nails he did another shape. I also like the airbrush designs you can have. Horrible!!!! The worst manicure I ever had! The manicurist filed down my natural nail so much for my first "gel french manicure". I later found out she shouldn't have even been filing down my nail in the first place!!! 2 of my fingers still hurt and this was done yesterday. The outcome was horrible--it looks like a 5 year old did it. It's unprofessional-even my co-workers noticed and asked "did you do that yourself"!!!!!! Worst 25 I've ever spent. Perfect Nails on rt 82 gave me the worst gel manicure I've ever had. The manicurist was very polite but did not know how to properly paint nails. Not only was my manicure not to my liking but it was bumpy, cut to the skin, and painted on my skin which dyed my skin. There was also a woman next to me flinching from pain multiple times. To make matters worse there was a young child which appeared to belong to one of the employees playing soccer against the walls and running around disturbing everyone around him. I didn't realize it was recommended to tip in cash and explained to the man handling the register that I didn't realize. He rudely told me to bring cash next time. I've had gel wrap fills done here a few times, and had one pedicure. I've been happy with the results every time. They have a great selection of gel colors - the best in the area by far. If they make a mistake, they correct it swiftly. Service is always quick and friendly. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because if you go on the weekend, there are always a lot of children around. This sort of runs the ambiance a bit, in my opinion. However, this is easily avoided by going during the week instead! read more
