This is an updated review to my first time 5 star review. Unfortunately I returned to this salon last Wednesday and was not particularly happy with the standard polish colors available, the colors and bottles seemed old and outdated and hard to get to as they were high above a client sitting in a chair and the shop people did nothing to help select a color that I couldn't reach. The person doing my toes never once had a smile on her face - I paid extra for her to get rid of callouses and she barely scrubbed my feet. The person "Diane" doing my nails overly soaked my finger s and a week later they are still messed up it's as if my fingers were submerged in water for i2 hours- I am still feeling the effects and my fingers are all peeling like I have super glue stuck to them- not to mention the manicure was already chipped not even 24 hours later. I wanted to love this place. I'm a big tipper and am sorry I left them such big tips and won't be returning read more

The service was amazing! Lisa did my nails, and I couldn't be more grateful. I came in with botched, painful gel nails, and she was so gentle and patient during the removal process. Since my nails need time to heal, I opted for a regular manicure--even though I know the color won't last as long, it was the right choice for now. The salon itself had such a warm and welcoming vibe. I noticed regulars coming in, and Lisa greeted them with such genuine happiness--she even remembered their favorite colors! Gell manicures doesn't last more than 10 days. The products they use are bad quality. Even if you go with an appointment you have to wait to be helped because they are overbooked. If someone walk in without an appointment, the owner lies and says they will take care of them in about 10 minutes and they wait until they get tired and leave. This happened to me the two last times I went there. It was my last time. I'll find another place where I feel welcome and respected. read more

I have been to Perfect Nails maybe like 5 or 6 times in the past, but not in a very long time and I am surprised at myself that I haven't done a Yelp review on them. Well, I guess there is a first time for everything. It is not down the street from where I live or across the street; so maybe the reason for me that I haven't done a review on them is that I always forget about this wonderful, great, nail salon that is in the heart of Sherman Oaks. Yes, that's it. I keep forgetting about this place to go and get my nails done whenever I need to! On April 2nd this Perfect Nails salon perfectly popped into my head and without a shadow of a doubt I went there and got a beautiful manicure and pedicure done that looks bright, lovely, beautiful, and clean. I soooooo needed mani/pedi. Both were done by a lovely, patient, kind lady by the name of Lee! SHE DID A FANTASTIC job and knew her work very well! Thank you Lee. We even had a small talk and it was very suiting and relaxing. The salon gives you this old school vibe with various, EXTENSIVE, BEAUTIFUL, nail polishes to choose from. It is clean, all the ladies are NICE, KIND, FRIENDLY and know exactly what to do to keep their customers HAPPY! I love how they still use a little bucket of water instead of a massage chair to do your pedicure!! Service is just so SPOT ON and they make you feel so welcome AND COMFORTABLE that you don't want to leave the salon! They all work very hard for their money and their affordable, reasonable prices makes you want to go back and do whatever that needs to be done. Whether it's nails, waxing etc... It's exactly what I was looking for. No-frills, reasonable prices, regular mani/pedi, Vietnamese woman-owned. I came on a weekday afternoon, no appointment necessary. They were busy, but I only waited about ten minutes. The small parking lot can be busy during peak hours (lunchtime), but you should be able to find a spot. Cash or Zelle. I've been re-applying a clear top coat to my mani every two days because I put my nails through the wringer (cooking, cleaning, packing boxes, unpacking). It has been two weeks and my regular mani/pedi still looks good, no chipping. read more

The acrylic nails are horrible! Not straight, looks like I need a fill the same day they are done! You can see scratch mark on my real nail through the clear part of the French tips! JUST HORRIBLE! Despite this, I still tipped $25 ( the other lady did my pedicure which was great! She did my daughter's mani pedi; AND THE NAIL BUTCHER ONLY GAVE HER $5 of the $25 that I tipped!) Will definitely not be back. Had a short window open and my normal places were closed. Reviews looked good and it was so close to home and they would take me 30 mins before closing. They have a few nicer white chairs but I was out in some office chair against a wall of for colors with my feet in this little bucket. It was just all cheap and unsanitary. The woman cut my toe clipping it - for some reason she was using cuticle cutter to cut the sides of my toe nails in too narrow which wasn't needed. I'm really hoping I don't any type of infection. I wasn't worried too much until I saw her pull out 6+ cuticle cutter from her bin and stick them in another all used, so clearly nothing had been sanitized all day. Had callous remover and they used only that metal file thing so it took multiple steps and was less effective. Did a regular mani with no color and a pedi regular w callous and it took an hour - oh and two of my toes were smudged before I even left. I just wanted to get out of there so paid and tipped and said bye. I'd be shocked if they passed a health inspection. read more

I'm from out of town and stumbled across this place while getting a smoothie next door. I walked in and they greeted me with huge smiles and were able to take care of me quickly. They were SO nice here & made me feel beyond comfortable. It's a bit outdated in terms of there's no massage chairs and to soak my feet them used lil bins of water.. which was fine but I like the traditional massage chair.. They took their time to make sure there were no missed spots, gave me a pillow for my back without me asking, engaged in warming conversations.. you know how sometimes you feel like the ladies will talk about you in another language? I did NOT feel like that here. So genuinely nice. I would come back even though there's no massage chairs haha. read more

I really don't like leaving bad reviews but I felt strongly enough to do so. I decided to try this place to get my nails done as my usual place was closed. I wish I didn't because my nails look TERRIBLE. I have never left a salon feeling so negatively. I got a basic dip manicure and was shocked at how badly it looked at the end. I did not think that the nail technician was done as they were still completely uneven and lumpy. I normally am not one to vocalize it when I am unsatisfied with a service but I was so confused I couldn't even hide it. She blamed it on the color of the dip. I was even more shocked that she did not acknowledge how awful they looked - I wish the pictures captured it better. Normally a dip manicure is $50 here and she had me pay $35. This was still unacceptable in my opinion considering the fact that I will be going to get them done elsewhere tomorrow. I will never go back to this salon again and I would tell anyone else considering going here not to as well. At least for dip. Beyond disappointed and upset customer I also just noticed, all she does is apologize to the negative reviews. No offering to help make things right which is interesting because when I asked her to even them out during my service, it truly seemed like she didn't know how to fix them. read more

Lovely family owed business. Lisa, Nancy, and Lee were so sweet, and giving. They asked my name, and how was and had nice conversation. The prices are very reasonable as well, and I love the way my nails look:). At some point another client came in to do their nails with their mother, but the mother was quit hungry. Horrendous service. First they don't have the colors shown, no one apologizes about the inconvenience but instead they laugh at you and bully you for wanting a color other than the completely different color they offer you instead. As usual, speaking foreign language unashamedly mumbling crap about you amongst each other (the standard low-vibe to expect on the negative end of the spectrum at this type of nail salons). The "manager" of whoever buzzed by mumbling anger under her nose with the woman who was helping me even had the nerve to order me to "put clear nail polish if I don't want color!" (clearly she's never heard of the most popular trend in nail color called "nudes"????even though I clearly pointed to what colors i wanted). To spare more details of this absolutely toxic experience I'll just say I was pressured and bullied into choosing a color I didn't want (I was simply on a time crunch when obviously I should've and would have walked right out the door), they saw I wasn't happy at the end, even after I told them how rude and unprofessional this whole thing was, and again no one bothered to so much as say one "sorry" but they just were ready to send me away not offering any damage control (another thing they sure haven't heard of). Don't bother coming here and expecting anything good, spare yourself the low-vibration drama and keep your mood and day glowing by taking your business elsewhere read more

Perfect nails is truly perfect. It's old school, no frills nail salon but the ladies do good work. I've had my nails done by Kathy, Kim, and Lee and they all do fabulous work (hoping I get to work with Lisa one of these days). Nice clean cuticles, never any bleeding. Environment feels clean and the parking situation is decent too. Another thing to note is their customer service is excellent. They treat you like family, love to joke with you, and remember your name. These are the simple joys you don't get with the frilly places.
