Peruvian chicken is a personal favorite, and full disclosure, I've been on a bit of a Peru-Pollo binge recently. So, I turned to Yelp to see where was the closest joint to get my fix. My choice today was the 1/4 chicken with 2 sides: fried plantain and arroz chaufa, also adding an extra side of fried yuca. Chicken: 4/5 - but probably because I panicked and didn't correct my order for dark meat, instead I kept the white meat. It wasn't too heavily charcoaled or seasoned, could possibly do with a little more seasoning but I still ate the whole thing --and skin (yeah, I'm one of those. Get over it.) The meat was tender, tore away from the bone, and doused in green sauce went down a treat. Sides: The yuca (5/5) was on point, perfectly fried but still light and fluffy on the inside. The plantain (5/5) was PERFECT, and a great contrast with the Aji Verde green sauce (packs a punch on the spicy scale, delicious!) The arroz chaufa (3/5) was okay, not the chaufa I'm used to eating; a little too oily for my liking, but that's down to personal taste. Lastly, Customer Service: 5/5. Michelle, thanks for being so sweet and taking care of me and participating in my Spanglish talk. I enjoy speaking Spanish whenever I can to make sure I don't forget how to converse in the language. The customer service alone is enough for me to stop in again (and the Latin club bangers playing whilst I waited, always a plus.) I'll definitely be coming back here again!

Perfect Pollo was perfectly delicious. They had a little bit of everything from Tex-mex to Peruvian, so I decided to try a little bit of everything. We placed our order over the phone for pickup. When we arrived, we noticed a sign outside stating "Best Rotisserie Charcoal Wings in the DMV", so I had to add that to my order. Boy, were these wings slamming! I can taste them right now...probably the best part of the meal honestly. I also ordered the TALLARIN SALTADO DE POLLO and a side of plantains. My husband and my aunt each ordered the chicken dinners. Our meals were very filling and we finished feeling satisfied.

After trying Perfect Pollo's Ashland location, I've been wanting to try this location and finally did today. Staff and service was good and friendly. Their food offerings are really good, even if they have more "American" sides to cater to those who don't want the spicy, flavorful stuff, than they have good, Hispanic sides. The food was great... Fried rice was awesome! Yuca was OK, just seems a lot like the frozen stuff. Chicken was outstanding! Nice and moist with good amounts of spice and flavor! Overall, it was really good... I want to return and try there chicken sub.

It tasted exactly liked it looked. A little dry and the fries were a little wet. Nothing to write home about.

I really was looking forward to eating here based off the yelp reviews. It may have been my fault ordering just a chicken quesadilla and some fried plantains. The fries were soggy and didn't have much flavor. The quesadilla was packed with chicken but it was a little dry and to seasoned. The plantains were just OK. It was a ball full of grease and didn't make me feel too well. I wish I just didn't eat it.

Not enough positive hyperboles to express my feelings. I just really and truly hope that more businesses take on this model. Cleanliness, Great Food, and Great service. The peruvian style rotisserie chicken is hands down the absolute best in the area. But maaaaaaan is this place spotless. I cant believe its been open over a year. I cant even dream up a complaint... by any stretch of the imagination. From the time we walked in until we walked out of the door the hospitality was amazing. Frank the owner really makes you feel at home. The flavor and freshness of the chicken ( which are cooked every 20 minutes) were perfect. Lots of options for sides including fried rice, plantains, vegetables, French fries and salad. They also have other meal options including beef and seafood. They had a variety of sauces for dipping that were enjoyable and catered to different taste buds. Atmosphere is very casual and relaxed located of Rt 2 near the Field House. Overall great experience.

One of my fav Peruvian Chicken places! The restaurant is clean , service is great and the chicken is, indeed, perfect ! I appreciate that they advertise their chicken being halal - eliminates the need to ask/verify as if you heard an internet rumor. The decor is also so cute - all the Peru posters, futbol on TVs, the lions and giant chickens outside - what's not to love? read more

I had my hopes up thinking I would get to enjoy some food from my native country. Unfortunately, this was a big let down. I've travelled most of the US always on the look out for Peruvian restaurants. This location in particular ranks around the lowest I've ever tried. I ordered the 1/2 chicken with Chaufa(Peruvian fried rice) and fried yucca. The Inca cola was the best part of the meal. Let's start with the chicken. it was missing flavor and was over cooked and dry. Maybe they made too many pollos anticipating the lunch crowd and had some left in the warmer that dried out. The Chaufa was colorless, flavorless and I'm not sure what type of rice was used but this is not the norm when it come to authentic Peruvian food. The yuca wasn't bad but wasn't great either... I'm wondering if they boil it first because the texture wasn't right. People are better driving a few miles down and hitting up Super Rico for about $2 less you get better tasting food and you get a bigger portion. I hate to plug another restaurant in a review but I had to point out where perfect pollo goes wrong. The best thing they have going is the ambience and the cleanliness of th establishment. Delicious food, friendly folks. Family went out to lunch, we're new to Fredericksburg areas, and found this place on Yelp. Walking in to this place was a little intimidating and we felt a little out of place. Before long they helped us navigate the menu and ordering options. The chicken was so good, i can't even describe what it tasted like other than really good. All the sides were fresh and delicious, the beans were so tasty. There are plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options too. read more

Got a 2 orders of 1/4 white meat chicken and fries and it cost $28.55, a lil rich for my taste. Fries were terribly cold, chicken was hot and fresh and aji verde was awesome!! Very nice kick to the aji, enjoyed well with the chicken. read more

We visited Perfect Pollo after a health professional recommended it to my husband. Staff and service was good and very friendly. The place, even though is small, offers a clean, welcomed site. The side selections is varied depending of your taste or what your looking for, and enough to satisfy you. They are served individually so you can enjoy them besides the chicken. The chicken was excellent, very moist and falling from the bone. It has been quite a long time since I enjoyed a roasted chicken like I did this one. The owner, Miguel, approached us while we were eating and shared his future plans for the site which we told him it was a good idea since here in Fredericksburg there are not many places (or none) where Latinos feel like home, with music and different activities. We'll wait to see how this works out. Certaintly we will be back pretty soon and would recommend the place to our family and friends. Keep the good work! read more

Food is ok if it's fresh and depends on the time of day you go there to eat. Not always consistent however service is good and atmosphere is what you would find at a typical Peruvian joint, nothing special. read more

If you are hungry and cant spend a ton of money, I would not recommend this place. Their prices are very high and their portions are very small. We ordered a whole chicken that was fine, Lomo saltado VERY small amount of meat, and ceviche hardly any seafood. With tip, delivery our total bill was $90. For Peruvian food in Fredericksburg is beyond ridiculous. We did call the restaurant to make them aware that there was hardly any seafood or meat in the two other entrées that we ordered. The guy said there was nothing they could do. I said I will write a review he basically said OK and hung up on me. The food does taste good but For $90 there are other Peruvian places that also have great food and you could get twice the portions. Not very happy. read more

Long story short, I was pressed for time and tried Perfect Pollo instead of another local Peruvian chicken establishment I have been going to for a while. Although I had to wait a few minutes for my chicken to finish, it was absolutely worth the wait. The cook on this chicken was better than the competition and the choice of sides was also intriguing. Most importantly, they deliver, and that is a deal maker all day long. read more

Wow, we just discovered this gem... the food is seasoned and prepared well and served hot by employees who make you feel appreciated for choosing their restaurant to have a meal and take tremendous pride in what they have to offer. They have a nice variety of sides and the Peruvian Chicken and sauces are the best hands down in a 50 mile radius. We work in DC and live in the southern region of Northern, VA... We picked up the Family Meal for lunch Sunday. A tray full of delicious chicken and 4 sides, I chose mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, Mac n cheese, and plantains. It was all great, and the sauce is next level goodness. Today is Tuesday and I am still enjoying leftovers for lunch. Most importantly the owner, whom introduced himself and his son, was very friendly. He insisted on helping me carry the food to my car. Support family business! We will be back:) read more

Great owners that are passionate about the food! One of the cleanest restaurants you will ever see and this is even more difficult to find often in Spanish/Latin restaurants but the owners and staff are meticulous from the dining room to the kitchen to the restroom. Chicken was full of meat and not all bones and very flavorful. Lomo was very good as were sides (Yuca, Rice with chicken, plantains). Give this place a try and enjoy! read more

Perfect Pollo is truly perfect. The restaurant is inviting and very clean. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful . The food is great, you can tell how much pride the owner and his staff take in the preparation and cooking of the dishes. I have had their chicken and also the steak, both were great. Peruvian chicken is great. We did a trip to VA Beach and came back through Fredericksburg. We ate at restaurants the whole trip which were well reviewed on Yelp. This restaurant also lived up to its great rating. Plus I got to practice my Spanish. Enjoy! read more

First visit to Perfect Pollo. The name fits. Chicken was juicy and flavorful. Plantains and rice were well done and nice accompaniments. Also seems like a nice family and local spot. This company spreads and provides charity catering throughout the community with multiple outlets. Lexi was very patient as she explains how the menu works. I ordered 3 items: 1) Loaded baked potato 2) Fried fish 3) Chicken and waffles. I just wanted to taste the baked potato without any protein on top. I don't know what it was that had an off taste, maybe the butter. The potato itself was soft topped with cheese, green onions and a little bland. The chicken and waffle were tasty. The fried chicken wasn't as crispy as I would like it but it was well seasoned and the waffle was soft. There are so many options for your sides. So for the fried fish, the appearance looks delicious but it was very thin and dry. Even with the tartar sauce it was still dry. I was really looking forward to it. The sides I selected were fries and hope cakes (which are sweet corn bread). Their beverages are on point, I got their lemonade and sweet tea. Lexi was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant is only opened on Fridays-Sundays for regular business but since they do multiple catering events, they are open 7 days a week. They also offer Sunday brunch between the hours of 9a-3p which the entire dining room is open with mocktail and coffee station. There isn't a buffet during the brunch but a la carte off the menu. I would make a return visit to try their brunch menu in the near future.

The soda fountain could have been a little cleaner. Everything was very sticky, and the tray was overflowing. The tables and around the tables were clean.. The hush puppies, biscuits, and the macaroni and cheese were the best I've ever had from a fast food restaurant. As for the chicken, it smelled amazing. Unfortunately, from my taste, I found it very salty and greasy. The chicken was well flavored, but it was just way too salty for me I also tried their banana pudding and unfortunately, once again, at least from my taste, it was lacking the right flavors. I did try their honey butter chicken biscuit sandwich I found that to be delicious So for that alone, it's totally worth a trip. I did forget to take a picture of banana pudding and the honey butter biscuit sandwich

My youngest couldn't finish with the chicken saying it was making her sick. Biscuits were definitely overcooked. A waste of $60. Hoping this meal didn't give us food poisoning. Recommendation is stay away and spend your money elsewhere if you need fast food.

My husband and I first time eating at this restaurant were at their other location and it was great. The food and music, owner were nice, greeted us and invited us to his other location, once we told him how far we've traveled, because the other location was much closer. So we went a second time to this location in Fredericksburg, Virginia it were indeed closer and great too, customer service, greetings, hospitality, music inside and outside patio, we had a wonderful dinner, music and after eating out on the patio, we danced it was nice evening and we will be back. read more

This is the best name for this restaurant- It is PERFECT pollo!!! The prices are not bad at all, the ckicken is seasoned and cooked perfectly, all of the side dishes are very tasty, and the Tres Leches cake for dessert is out of this world.... And the service... These guys are very friendly and cheerful, and they are very attentive to the customers needs. If you want to take your wife out for an inexpensive dinner that tastes great, this is one of the best places in Fredericksburg....We love Perfect Pollo!!!!! read more

This is probably the best place you can get genuine Peruvian chicken while getting such quality service. The staff was so friendly and seemed to truly like serving our orders.
