I struggled with growing my nails out and they broke easily. Since going to Stories and seeing Cinthya my nails have been so much healthier and I've been able to grow my natural nails out. We've been doing builder gel and IBX nail repair every other appointment. I have definitely seen a marked difference. I've also been able to experience their waterless pedicure. Possibly the best pedicure I've ever had. I highly recommend Stories. The establish is clean, organized and has a calming aesthetic. The staff and owner are kind, wonderful people.

I paid approximately $70 for a builder gel overlay manicure. Within just two days, one nail broke. I returned to the salon and they repaired it, explaining that it may have happened because my nails were short. Unfortunately, the problem didn't stop there. By day 12, several nails were lifting and flaking off. In my experience, a builder gel overlay should last significantly longer than that, especially at this price point. I returned to the salon before the two-week mark. Because they were busy, I told them I was fine with receiving a regular gel manicure instead of having the builder gel completely redone. I fully expected to pay something for the service, but I was surprised when I was charged full price despite the original builder gel overlay failing in less than two weeks. I didn't want to make a scene or put staff in an uncomfortable position, so I paid and tipped as usual. However, after I got home, I submitted a message through the salon's online contact form. I explained my disappointment, acknowledged that I had otherwise been happy with the salon, and stated that I wanted to continue as a customer. I simply felt that charging full price after a premium service failed so quickly was not a fair resolution. The salon never responded. To me, the lack of response was the most disappointing part of the experience. Nail services can occasionally have issues, and I would have been understanding if someone had simply acknowledged my concerns and attempted to make things right. Instead, I paid for a failed builder gel service, paid again for a replacement manicure, and received no follow-up whatsoever. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Stories Salon for nail services.

She won me over with her extremely gentle and relaxing pedicures and her meticulousness and attention to detail with my SNS manicures. She is a total perfectionist. I've gotten solid colors, french, and ombré nails with her and they are always perfect. She spends extra time massaging my legs and feet. I just adore her. The salon itself is very clean, spacious, updated, and beautiful! I find it very convenient that I can book my appointments online. My only complaint (and I don't believe this has anything to do with Ann) is that she is often running really behind for my appointments. I wonder if the business should extend their service times so the technicians are not over-booked and constantly running behind. I am a hair stylist so I get it- every once in a while. But when it's 9 times out of 10, running 30+ minutes late for pre-booked appointments- something needs to change. I even called today to see if she was running on time or behind. I was told she was running 5-10 minutes behind, so I took my time getting there. My service did not actually begin until about 40 min after my appointment time. Summary: Book with Ann for a phenomenal experience. Be prepared to not be seen at your appointment time.

No one presented me with a pricing catalog with services, they pointed to that sign right next to the pedicure chairs. Then the man answered the phone and chose to pretty much ignore me while I'm standing there. Then I questioned again and they show me some book with totally different pricing than what they just said or what's on the sign! I am so disappointed and I was so relaxed after my pedicure, but that's now ruined! If your sign isn't updated, at least honor the price but they weren't willing to do that. My total was $100, $80 for the pedicure and $20 extra for gel, but they gave me $5 off because the sign was wrong. Not worth it! Gee, thanks! Will not return here!

The floors in this place were filthy. The stations had broken and damaged areas all over. It doesn't take more than a few minutes to sweep the floor or repair a broken piece of table. There were several employees just sitting around on their phones. They could easily have swept the floor The worst part was as I was leaving an elderly lady was trying to get service and they treated her so poorly. She kept saying I don't understand you and they wouldn't try to help. The possible owner, who was the only man there and didn't wait on anyone just walked around, just looked at her and walked by. I couldn't believe the rudeness. The tech working in her was so rude too.

That should never happen during a professional pedicure. Second, the pricing provided to me was outdated. I pointed to a specific spot on the menu thinking I was paying $51; imagine my surprise when I go to pay and it was $91. I was unexpectedly charged an additional $20 for gel--an add‑on that was not listed anywhere in the pedicure pricing but in an "extra" area. This was never communicated to me in advance. When I asked to speak with a manager, both employees at the desk claimed not to know anything, which only added to the poor customer service experience. Whether there was confusion or not, any extra cost should be clearly disclosed before the service begins--especially when paired with an injury during the appointment. I stopped going here almost 2 years ago, but I received a gift card so thought I would try again. Thank you for the reminder that there are plenty of nail salons in the area that have much better customer service at lower price point.

I ended up finding Bernadette, an independent nail tech who works there--and she's been an absolute gem. While she does use a drill (contrary to what I originally searched for), she's incredibly skilled, gentle, and precise--so much so that it never damages my nails. Her technique is both efficient and mindful, striking the perfect balance between machine and hand filing. Initially, I was getting regular gel manicures, but Bernadette truly cares about nail health, and she suggested switching to builder gel (BIAB). It was a game-changer. Builder gel doesn't require soaking off and allows for continuous fills--meaning you can build on top of your last set without compromising nail integrity. Since switching, my nails have grown so long, strong, and healthy, and a single BIAB manicure can last me up to 6 weeks! Beyond nails, Bernadette is a wonderful person--easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and deeply caring. She also specializes in pedicures for clients with diabetes or other health conditions, which speaks volumes about her expertise and sensitivity to clients' unique needs. If you're looking for a thoughtful, health-conscious nail experience, I highly recommend Refresh Nail Spa and Bernadette in particular. My monthly visits have become something I genuinely look forward to.
