Food: The food was delicious! I tend to not like the fries of different shrimp boils but these fries were really good! The boil was delicious as well! I loved how they give you an option to upgrade for peeled shrimps. I did this but sadly they don't give you the receipt back so wouldn't know how much more. ( you have to ask for it for them to give it to you) Service: The service was good although I didn't like that after 11pm it's ONLY CARDS. No CASH I ordered around 11:20pm and the girl allowed me to pay cash although she had already cashed out the registers. Although I did have to speak up for myself which I don't like because I know others would've left it like that. I called 15 mins before going to the restaurant to make sure they did accept cash and who ever picked up said YES. BUT then when I got there she said she couldn't accept my cash. I told her what happened about my call and the drive I did so she helped me out and accepted the cash. This is why I'm leaving it as a 4 star review. I didn't like that the person who picked up the phone call lied but the girl who helped me out with my order was kind turned it around. So my sister told me hey you hungry ? I look at her and say maybe and she said getting ready we're going to eat but wouldn't tell me where.... Long behold we arrive to Boil Daddy and it was empty inside and we ordered our food I got the the fisherman's dinner with peeled shrimp no corn, with all the sauces and mild spice and a boiled egg. The shrimp was tender and juicy and flavorful the links were real good as well just the should think about peeling of the skin for texture, but still the potatoes everything was delicious, nice and hot and that was perfect. The service was ok they really didn't do much cause we did order from the kiosk but they were still kind when they came to our table even tho we were the only customers there. Workers are very nice! We were a party of 9 (very large party) so it can be very annoying but everyone is so nice and welcome.

We came to this location on our socal food trip. Now the crawfish is got was fair. Not super good and not bad either. My girl shrimp was over cooked and the flavor was bland. Our waitress was nice but seem like the whole staff there is lazy. After we got our food. They didn't offer us water refil, we didn't get utensils or napkins. I had to go up and ask for them. The mussels and shrimps were delicious. The Daddy's shrimp bowl was flavorful and fulfilling. Cajun sauce both spicy, and mild spice were good. Corn was good, I do wish it wasn't fried with I think it was batter or flour. My friends and I were in the area and decided to grab a quick bite at The Boil Daddy before our paint night event. Although they're known for Cajun Seafood, I was craving wings after seeing the menu! I ordered for myself (way too much) the Dry Daddy Wings $17. The wings were fried just right - the meat was juicy and the batter on the outside had the perfect crisp. They were generous with the portion of crispy french fries on the side, too. My friend got the Wet Daddy Wings (boneless) $17 and she loved it as well! We also ordered the Street Daddy Corns $13 to share. Imagine battered corn sprinkled with Cajun seasoning and topped with Parmesan - delicious! I never had corn on the cob all fried and seasoned like this so this was a fun treat! My other friend got their Crispy Mahalo Shrimp $18 with rice and a side of Mac and Cheese. We had a little bit of everything so I got to try a variety of dishes between the three of us - needless to say, we're sold to come back for another round! It pains me to have to do this because I became a fan of this place! I had to place the order with the waiter/cashier because he never made contact. He said fisherman dinner I asked what that was he explained and I said no because I don't want sausage. That I wanted eggs he said he would substitute. I ordered a lemonade was told I got a refill which I did get both drinks but at the same time. By the time I got to the second one it was watered down. Now the food they put sausages and no eggs. They didn't bring lemons never checked on us and the flavor was completely off and dry. The waiter preferred being on his phone then make sure we were okay. Now my friend her fries also had no flavor and she was also displeased with everything. Pretty much we ate dry shrimp. Honestly... This pissed me off so bad that I don't even want to say anything on this review other than it wasn't good. I got the "daddy's shrimp bowl. The potato had no flavor whatsoever. The shrimp was bland as well and underwhelming. The rice kind of gave me the ick, and the only thing I actually liked was the sausage. They also give you one small slice of lemon on the side. I was looking forward to trying the sauce the reviews are talking about, but I don't think I received it. They did however pile on a whole bunch of (what I assume is) creole/cajun seasoning that did absolutely nothing for the dish. Wouldn't eat here again. Waste of $27. read more

This was my first time, trying seafood boil, and it was good. I appreciate that this location has dine in option as well as parking space. When you walk in, you are able to choose your seating as well as order from the kiosk or at the register. The waiter was kind and brought out water for me since I didn't order a drink. It was not easy to entirely understand his accent, but that was not an issue. The total of the food I ordered, was $28 and I was very full since the portion was very decent! I'll give the seafood 5 stars but I do want to give tips to improve quality of food. I love the sauce that sets on top of the seafood, I personally ordered the spicy Cajun sauce. Now the sauce tasted a little sweet but it wasn't nothing some Old Bay couldn't fix. The amount of food given was definitely filling. I got a pound of head on shrimp and a crab cluster. Overall the food was okay, I would just desire more seasoning to marinate the food. I would definitely try this place again. It definitely gave what it was supposed to give! This place is a few blocks from my house, I've passed by hundreds of times and I've never thought to stop by. Well, first time for everything. My wife and I decided to give it a try and we were glad we did! Friday night, we didn't wait long for a table. We enjoyed the shrimp, boiled eggs, corn on the cobs with their "daddy sauce", and added a 6pc wing order. Ambiance was great, music in the background. If you're looking for a cheap seafood place that offers seafood boil, then this is your best option in downtown LA. Tried this place for the second time b/c we loved the flavor. Not a great experience when picking up my online order. I mistakenly selected "pick up" when I meant "delivery" MY fault. So, my food was ready for a cool minute. I knew the food would be cold and thought I could ask the staff if they can do us the favor of giving us fresh fries. Restaurant was empty, staff was blasting music as if it were a kickback, so not entirely busy. Upon asking one of the staff members, the Latino man with a mustache, who is definitely an average employee, looked at me and immediately responded with "you know that if we do that WE'RE loosing money, right" the condescending, unnecessary and straight up rude commentary threw me off. So I asked again, only for him to repeat the same thing. I walked away, I ain't dealing with that over $4 fries. Why is an average employee, who is definitely not the owner, more concerned about being right and saving $4 than to find solutions for customers ? I came asking in good faith, not once demanded my fries be switched. I ask ownership to please assess your employees attitudes. If they're worried about saving the restaurant $4 over customer satisfaction, then maybe they should work for corporate. BTW, when ordering online, we provided a generous tip to staff that would have covered the cost of those fries. Just a turn off and will not be returning to THIS location. read more
