So I ended up buying a 2006 Audi S4 who is told it's in pretty good shape shame on me for not doing my due diligence and getting it checked out before I bought it I have the guys over at performance auto Workz inspect the car for me I had a coolant leak as well as an oil leak most shops were charging almost $500 just to look at the car thankfully they were very transparent with me only charge me $99 which is super super reasonable pretty much gave me a breakdown of everything that is needed for the vehicle and what kind of a long-term project I was getting into luckily I was able to sell the car and not lose too much money highly highly recommend for German auto repairs very very knowledgeable of what he's talking about thank you guys read more

Brian took great care of my 2002 CLK 55 Mercedes Benz. He diagnosed and replaced the creaking control arm bushings and fixed the issue with my steering dampener too. He also spotted the oil leak in my valve covers (replaced the gaskets) and took care of all these things in a very professional manner. We bought a MiniCooper used. It was a private sale and boy should I have done more research! We took our Mini to the local dealer for repairs. We spent a lot of money but the car just never was fun to drive. The almost-the-last straw was recently when the car drove like it was on its last leg. We didn't want to take it back to the dealer where no matter what they just weren't making it 'into' the car we hoped. Then we found Performance Autowerk! But they are right next to bart which worked for me as i could head to work from there. The service rep at this place is a nice guy. He explained all of my repairs clearly. Since about 5 years ago, Performance Autowerk has been and still is my "go to" auto repair shop for anything related to my 1996 BMW Z3. This time around it was an unexpected radiator leak that brought me in. I had the car towed to their shop late on a Saturday night, knowing that they were closed on the weekends. I left a telephone message explaining my situation and fully expected that I would not hear from them until Monday morning. To my surprise, they returned my phone call and emailed me a preliminary estimate the very next day... on a Sunday! Repairs were completed Monday afternoon with no surprise expenses added on to the original estimate. I brought my Audi Q3 into Performance Autowerk in March 2023 with warning lights on. I had run the car thru a scanner and knew I needed to find an Audi specialist that I could trust. Rich did a thorough preliminary inspection and assessment with me. He was straight forward with me about the nature of the work needed and due to the age of my vehicle that it would need maintenance for it's foreseeable future on the road. I came in as a walk in and had my car serviced in a timely manner. Rich is highly knowledgeable, he is transparent and will provide you a review of what they did and showed me before/after installation of parts. Found a BMW I was interested in buying so again I looked to Yelp for someone in the local area who knew German cars. I came across Evan at Performance Autowerks and he was very happy and flexible to take a look at it the following morning. The first thing I noticed about Evan and his shop is that he takes great pride in his work. His shop is very clean and he took the time and effort to create an appealing brand for his company. After the seller dropped the car off, Evan and I immediately went for a test drive. Just the way he was talking about the car while he was driving it, I could tell he had an expansive knowledge of BMWs. He pinpointed several things he noticed right away along with information about things to consider when buying a BMW or other German cars for that matter. When we got back, he raised the car up in his shop and did a full and thorough inspection. He pointed out the good and the bad as well as offering up preventative tips in the event I did buy the car. I took my Land Rover into Performance for a few maintenance related issues (brakes, tires, drivetrain, service, belts, etc..). I ended up getting so much more done to my car. I met Evan when he worked at M Service in Walnut Creek and I've tracked him down over the years because I trust him. I bought my last car (BMW e46) because I knew he could service and fix it. There is nothing like good customer service. Evan called me almost everyday giving me updates (price and timeframes). This place is great. Some shops will inspect your car for a fee, then if you choose to hold off on the repair, you lose that inspection fee. They didn't even charge me an inspection fee. This place is honest and tries to find ways to save your money if you want to hold off on repairs. Rich will suggest a smaller repair that makes sense for the time being. While Evan specializes in German automobiles I was left with no other option than to take my Mitsubishi Eclipse to him after another independent mechanic as well as the dealership in Livermore both caused more damage than good to the vihicle. I have heard of Evan's meticulousness and talent so my ill feelings of shotty mechanics was very minimal from the get go. The car was dropped off over night by AAA and by about 10 am my phone was ringing with the initial diagnosis and general estimate. As everything progressed I was updated very regularly.
