Came in on a rainy day and due to it being the 1st rainy day in a while in so cal the freeways were jam packed. Tire center was suppose to be open @ 8am but as explained before there was a little delay. Left my # with an employee and let him know to call me when the shop opened up because I needed all my tires replaced. Garcia the store manager called me and let me know I could come in whenever my sched allowed and offered apologies for the delay. I was in and out in about 40 min. Excellent customer service and even offered to patch my cars other flat tire that had unfortunately picked up a nail earlier in the week. I will definitely be a return customer! read more

I went to another shop in La Canada for many years, they were not that friendly, if you dropped your car off for a repair, you might not get it back for days. I could go on and on, one day they said "Go to Performance Tires for new tires" so I did. I had no idea Hambik also works on cars, he doesn't just deal with tires. He is now my mechanic. He has been nothing short of an angel to deal with. If he can, he will fix your car while you wait. Rarely does it keep your car even a day even. If the review gave me the option, I would have left ZERO stars. I called Performance Tire for an Front End Alignment for my vehicle explaining that the front end was shaking a bit. The gentleman said no problem it will cost me $60.00. I made an appointment for the next morning. I arrived the next morning and within an hour I received a phone call explaining that my vehicle was much WORSE OFF. Not only would a front end alignment not solve my problem but that I NEEDED TO REPLACE MY WHOLE FRONT END. He stated because it was all original, and my vehicle was 10 years old, it needed to be replaced. I ask, How much it would cost to do what he had recommended. $800.00 DOLLARS. I ALMOST TRUSTED HIM and was going throughout with the order of the parts when I decided to have a SECOND OPINION. I'm so happy I went for a second opinion due to the only problem with my vehicle was the STEERING STABiILZER that only cost me $70.00. The front end of my vehicle was perfect even though I have over 120.000 miles on my vehicle. Just to make sure my vehicle was repaired properly I have now driven the vehicle for 2 months without any problems. read more

Honestly, this place is highly recommended... Hambik is the nicest and easiest car guy that i've met. And did i mention honest! Yup, his down to earth and honest about his services. I came in for all my tires and brake change. He even threw in the alignment for free. Best yet, i could afford all the work he did! At first i was worried about how much he would charge, like that feeling we get every time we go to a car repair shop and in the back of our head is he going to over charge me. But not Hambik, he was honest and sincere with his price. I even asked him do u prefer cash or card? Which i only do when i'm happy with their service. I was in at 0830 and he said he'll be done by 1230. And yup, he kept his promise and my car was done by 1230. He also dropped and picked me up at the nearest Starbucks while I waited for my car. I was looking for a tire shop near La Crescenta that had great service and was not overpriced. All the local "big name" shops like Just Tires, Discount Tires, etc had bad reviews. I saw the 5 star rating for Performance Tire Center and decided to give them a call. Hambik gave me a great price over the phone for 2 new tires and an alignment. The next day we took the car there, he replaced the 2 tires, balanced/rotated the 2 older tires, and put the car up on the alignment rack. He said the car did not need an alignment, all the numbers were within spec, so he said I was good to go and didn't charge for the alignment. 5 starts for great service, great prices, and HONESTY. read more

I was passing through SoCal on a long road trip when I got a flat tire. I showed up at Performance Tire Center near closing time and explained my situation. The two mechanics immediately dropped what they were doing and got to work repairing my tire. The puncture was plugged and I was ready to go all within 10 minutes. After living in the area for 50 years I read some reviews on Yelp and tried them out. Wow - great find. First I needed tires and I had put it off too long. He got the tires I needed the same day and was very helpful. Price was definitely as good as or better than others. I asked him to check my brakes and believe it or not - he said they were fine for a few more months. After a few months I went back (who wouldn't reward this honesty) and they did all of my brakes along with turning rotors for about half of what I would have paid elsewhere. I am a fan! read more

This is literally the best tire place I've ever been to. The proprietor is friendly and honest, and I trust him 100% to tell me what I really need. How do I know? Because I've gone in with tire issues, and once he fixed it for free, the other time he charged just $10 for a patch. I know with certainty from past experience had I gone to one of the chain tire stores, they would try to sell me new tires, along with a tire plan, along with .... I purchased four Michelin Primacy for a Mercedes at a reasonable price (very close to Costco when you add up all the club's extra charges) and even if it's a little more, I'd much rather spend my money at a local small business. I got my free rotation the other day and they had me done and out of there in 15 minutes. Honest, good prices, fast service all delivered with a smile...what more could you ask for? I first went to see Hambik when Had a minor problem with one of the wheel on my son's car. I thought the problem was more serious and certainly would have been suckered by someone to spend a lot of money to fix it. Hambik was honest and told me that the damage was mostly cosmetic and minor in nature. I appreciated that and when I needed brakes and some other work done on my son's Pontiac Vibe, I was going to go nowhere else but here. Again, Hambik was professional and honest, something that you don't always get with mechanics. He will work with you to get whatever you need done and his prices are not bad either. He is also a genuinely nice guy that is a pleasure to talk to. I will use him again and recommend him for any automotive need. Over 50 reviews all perfect 5's and it is for a REASON! All the great comments are no exaggeration. I've lived in this area for almost 20 years, and it has been the bane of my existence to find an honest, fair, good, inexpensive auto mechanic. I've been to almost every one of the gazillion auto shops up and down Foothill from Tijunga to LaCanada. I've tried big shops and small ones. I thought maybe an honest, inexpensive mechanic was like a unicorn, or bigfoot, or on-time-cable techincians...just a fantasy! But no! There is at least one on this planet! I only just found Hambik and Performance Tire Center this year (from a recommendation), and I can't tell you how happy my wife and I are! It will definitely be the lowest cost for whatever basic auto repair you have, but amazingly, not only will he give you the most fair price (sometimes so low, I worry he's not going to make any money) but he is courteous, friendly, informative, and flexible. He told my wife to take our repaired car home without paying and trusted us to come back the next day just because she didn't have her credit card with her at the moment. Who does that these days!? And his price for the fix ended up being more than $100 less than the exact same repair I had priced at 4 different shops. This is old-school customer service in a mechanic who really knows his stuff. You absolutely won't be disappointed. The only drawback at all is that he's so popular, that it can be tight on the weekends. No matter. Waiting for a weekday appointment is 100% worth it. Even if I lived in Pasadena or Sherman Oaks, it would be worth it to drive to Montrose for this type of service and price. It's like he knows how easy it is for mechanics to screw people, and he's on a personal one-mechanic mission to restore faith in human kind. He's that good. read more
