Great prices, super nice guy. Also honest about his capabilities. Would recommend to most folks. However, if you have nice (low profile) wheels, I recommend going to America's Tire or another tire shop with more modern tire mounting machines. His team literally used 2 crow bars to push the tires onto my rims because his older machine wasn't able to mount them. read more

Lately, it seems like every LA freeway is undergoing construction so I happened to be one of the lucky few who won a nail in my tire. I called Performance Tire Center to see if they had time to patch a tire and Hambik very kindly told me to stop by whenever. I stopped by and Hambik just told me to park and made me maneuver my car a bit so that he could see the nail. He removed it and patched it in less than five minutes and told me that I should get new tires soon. He wouldn't accept payment but I was so grateful. After repeatedly being ripped off by Discount Tire, a friend recommended this place. My car was leaking power steering fluid and Discount wanted $400 to fix it, after I had just dropped $1200 a few months earlier to fix everything they said was wrong. Hambik (the man in-charge) had my car in and out within 4 hours, including driving to the Nissan dealership to get the hose he needed for my car. And.... viola, my car is fixed, $260 total. I have been coming to Performance for years. He repaired a broken side mirror on my daughter's Camry (she had duct taped it ) He offered a matching green one (higher price) or a black one at really cheap cost. Our choice. Black one kinda looks badass so we took it.. He has always offered choices and recommendations. Sometimes we take higher price, but we know why. Lots of various repairs, often way cheaper than dealer. Always competitive Now our Camry, which has 140K miles, and been such a reliable car is facing a really expensive option. Engine mount, drums, rotors, tires, oil pressure, alternator, battery, etc etc. My daughter needs a car for college, but do we repair all that or get a new used or new car? That is why we appreciate Hambik. He detailed all the options including purchasing after market parts to be used in the Camry which can run cheaper, but also let us know the risks. (Failure, not working well) He has been honest and detailed through all our car adventures. This one will be expensive, but that is our choice to go with the quality parts, the more expensive (and consumer reports recommended) tires etc. The Camry is 12 years old. Our daughter now knows that when a car makes a certain sound ya gotta let the parents know sooner. That grinding noise when applying brakes? argh. It meant something. We wish it had been caught before the brakes went metal to metal. But we know the Camry is in reliable hands and we hope, with Hambik as our mechanic, we can keep that Camry for a few more years while she finishes college. read more

Exceptional service with a smile! They gave me the best local price on buying and mounting a set of 4 tires, shuttled me to and from my nearby office, and got the job done in less than 2 hours. The final price was exactly what Hambik quoted me...no additions for balancing, mounting, tax, disposal, etc. I forgot to ask them to check to see whether one of my old tires would make a better spare than the old spare mounted under the trunk. He said, "just bring the car by," which I did. My old tires weren't much better than the old spare, but he brought out an almost new Michelin, which he gave to me, and mounted it on the spare rim...for no charge...in about 15 minutes. I have had Performance Tire and Hamblik put new tires on our vehicles for 6 or 7 years now. I took my Sienna in today because I had been told by the local Toyota dealership Service Dept that I need work done on it: Control arms bushings, ball joints, shock absorbers to all be replaced. Hamblik raised the Sienna up and told me that there are no issues. Didn't do unnecessary work, didn't try to sell me anything. My wife had a flat tire that I had plugged for a temporary fix, but the plug gave out late Friday night going into Memorial Day weekend. I found Performance Tire Center on Yelp, got enough air into the tire, and rolled right up to the gate at 8am Saturday. They were closed. Hambit, who had come in only to clean up the shop and then go home for the day, saw me and my rapidly deflating tire at the closed gate. As I told him about the leak, he opened the gate and waved me in. Not only did he stop what he was doing and patch the tire properly (on his personal time, while the shop was CLOSED), he then told me it was on the house! After I told him this was not acceptable, we settled on a measly $20. As we needed to drive a good distance to my god-daughter's dance performance in a couple of hours, I would have paid 10x that. Hambit runs an orderly, clean shop, and invited me in to observe the work. His style is patient and thorough, and I felt like I was working on cars with a buddy rather than going to the shop. I cannot more highly recommend Hambit and Performance Tire Center, and I will look forward to returning there for any routine services he can provide for my autos. read more

I had accident with motor cycle a month ago, and pick up my vehicle from bodyshop yesterday. It took 30days to repair collison and mechanic issue (motor cycle hit my whole left side front bumper to rear bumper include two doors). However, when i drive my car, i felt my steering is abnormal and take back to bodyshop, but said they did wheel allignment already and found no problem (it is in Koreatown), so i research yelp to find allignment shop near my home, and came to this place. I almost never leave reviews, but this place is the real deal. My tire pressure light came back on just a few days after I filled up my tires, so I knew there must be a puncture somewhere. I called this place on a Friday around noon and explained my situation. Hambik told me to come around 3pm and he'll check it out. I said earliest I could come is 4:30. He said no problem and saw me at that time. When I rolled up, sure enough there was a nail in one of my tires. A gentleman patched it up right in front of me and checked the rest of my tires in about 5 minutes. I asked Hambik how much and he said $5 (yes, five dollars). I only had card on me and no cash. Instead of taking my card he literally said "it's fine, just come back when you're in the area and pay me back." I know it was such a minor service, but I've never experienced such a gesture before at a business, let alone when getting my car fixed.
