I write this review for customers to do better. Perihelion is phenomenal, great beer, food and service. I was hesitant to go out to a restaurant to be seated and served, because it puts servers health at risk. Perihelion is doing everything right with COVID, its the other customers that concern me. I saw multiple customers steamroll in front and in back of servers trying to place hot food at their guests tables. If you are a customer not adhering to social distancing you are jeopardizing the health of the workers and other guests. Perihelion workers should not have to babysit customers and remind them of the rules of social distancing. Considering this is a neighborhood spot, I hope my neighbors do better. My only request to Perihelion is to make the gratuity options 20%, 25% and 30%. read more

This place has great atmosphere! Great place for outdoor seating plenty of space with a few fire pits. I have ordered food here on a number of occasions and each time the food was dripping in grease, almost to the point it was not edible. read more

This is such a cute spot in Beacon Hill! We were simply driving by while running some errands and were drawn in by the gorgeous twinkle lights and outdoor fire pits. Tables were well spaced out for appropriate social distancing. The food was reasonably priced and there were several Sunday Specials like the salmon pot pie that we plan to come back and try in future. Beer selection and quality were great (and we're not usually beer people so this is saying a lot!). Lovely place to spend an evening on the weekend. read more

Absolutely love this place! It's definitely more of a restaurant than a brewery from my own personal take. However, the food here is amazing, highly recommend the nachos and the house burger! They do have a good selection of beers on tap with light beers being my go to. The restaurant expanded a few years back which allows for more space for patrons to sit and I really love the open kitchen layout where you get to see all the action. read more

This place is really cool. I have never seen their beer at any local brewfest, but the beer was really good. I cant say for sure what I had, at this point, but I was impressed by every beer I tried. We grabbed a sandwich and a few apps to try and split. The main drive by this was the bone marrow. I have never had bone marrow, but have wanted to try it. I am very impressed by the bone marrow, but like pork belly I dont think humans were meant to consume on a regular basis. It was like bone butter. I definitely want to try it again, but half a bone was still a lot. I also grabbed the brussels. I love a good brussel and while they were really good, the bottom of the bowl was a little oil heavy, but they were still good. Then we split a bbq brisket sandwich and that thing was dynamite. I absolutely loved it. With all that being said. The parking is a little iffy. I mean its normal seattle parking. Seems like it could a little limited. I need to figure out how far this from the light rail. The aesthetic is awesome. Starry and and fantasy. Its awesome. This place really reminds me of McMinnimins. read more

Perihelion earned their fifth star back this week. We came in Thursday night and had a personable and attentive server. We tried a new beer (Pink Guava Basil Saison) which was awesome, and burgers, bone marrow, and brussels sprouts were all awesome. Tried out a local brewery that just opened in February after church today. I had the Blue Cheese truffle burger, Car had the Mac & Cheese with pulled pork, the #Fenglets had a pulled pork sandwich, and we all shared sweet potato fries and fried brussel sprouts. The ambiance is perfect for our neighborhood; bright, warm, inviting, and kid-friendly. You can see your order being prepared right in front of you and it's clear the cooks enjoy their job, and they certainly do it well. Our orders were out in a few minutes and handed to us on compostable plates as soon as they were finished. The fries and sprouts were prepared perfectly, and my blue cheese burger was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The blue cheese wasn't overpowering, but added just enough complexity to the flavor when paired with the perfectly-grilled patty, caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, truffle oil & sundried tomato basil aioli. I had a bite of the Fenglets' BBQ pork sandwich and the meat was tender and flavorful, and even though I'm not partial to mac-n-cheese, Carolyn's selection was incredibly tasty as well. Stopped in for a quick dinner before a football game as a group of four. Very fast and courteous service. Food was great too. Two of us had the Beacon burger, which flavorful and delicious. This place has a great menu. The food is creative, fresh, and well priced. HOWEVER the service sucks!!!! We have been here multiple times. Why is it so hard for this restaurant to figure out a decent way of serving people like all the other restaurants in Seattle. Instead they have a group mentality where multiple people attend to you, but no one seems to know what's happening. So there you sit no follow up, no additional drinks, food or anything. No service. Such a great place to enjoy a delicious burger and other small plates! Two of us came on a Saturday night and were able to get a seat by the window. There were quite a lot of people here so we were happy we didn't have to wait. We were both starving, so we each ordered a Beacon Burger, as well as bone marrow, fried brussels sprouts, and fries (since the burger doesn't come with any). The burger is top notch - it's definitely one of my favourites so far, especially at $10. The ingredients taste so fresh and the patty was super juicy. I love the fattiness of the pork belly inside too. I really loved the bone marrow too. The bread had the perfect texture to accompany the bone marrow (which was seasoned so well), and I liked the addition of mushrooms, onions and mustard on the side. Together, all these things made the dish exceptional! The fries and brussels sprouts were great too, although we admittedly ordered too much for the two of us... Last weekend was the first time I came here. When I entered, there was no signage as to whether one waits to be seated, or seat yourself. I sat at an empty table for 15 minutes. A server doted upon a table of senior citizens. I watched the server work. After a while, the server came to my table to ask if I was "ok". I motioned to my empty table and told them that I have never been assisted. I really wanted to ask "what do you think?" Apparently, you have to order at a counter. This is unacceptable. This cost them 2 stars and 10% of the tip. The food isn't good enough for me to venture out to where they are located. I don't plan on ever coming here again. read more

If I ever rated these folks less than 5 stars, they invester WELL, and the results show. All I can attest to today is their Happy Hour, Tue-Sat. The $8 Caribbean gets a D for being able to eat it and not make a mess. I used a fork, then a knife & fork. Actually was able to finish it. We ordered sides, but it is basically a naked pile on a discus, that tended to spin. Perhaps I just need oractice at the spinnng plate and how to handle another sandwich that is too big for my face. What happened to the best burgers in town?! We hit the spot about every six weeks and I always order the blue cheese truffle burger which is generally spectacular. However it seems they have now decided to use a lesser meat patty. Very disappointing. Please bring back, the burger, we loved. The fried Brussel, sprouts, the service and handcrafted. As promised in my first review, I came back! Not just once but multiple times because I can't stay away -- honestly, who can?! As expected, the service is just as good as the food. Everyone there, from the cashier to the cooks, is so kind and attentive without being too overbearing. Speaking of the cooks, I'd like to give a shout-out to them for always checking in on us, even after we've received our food. You typically don't see cooks interacting with customers like this so it really shows that they care! Anytime I crave a burger, I stop by Perihelion, which is conveniently located by the Beacon Hill light rail station. My go to order is the Beacon Burger and fries -- a true classic. Although I haven't tried much of the other food here, I know I won't be disappointed when I do! read more

Appears Beacon Hill is changing and this is before the light rail came through! I really like this addition to the hood. Very pleasant friendly place to hang in/out offering a nice neighborhood feel. Met a friend this past summer and we shared happy hour brews, brussel sprouts fried, and adobe chicken after reading recommendations from yelp. Love love loved our eats. Brussel sprouts were a bit crispy however the flavor and dipping sauce was divine! Definitely will be back to try more items especially when the weather is warmer. Oh my gosh...the food here is unreal. Truffle burger was to die for and the chicken sandwich was beyond amazing. We enjoyed our pride flights and frose. This is my favorite brewery in Seattle because of a few reasons: 1. Excellent beer selection. Great variety of Saisons, porters and blondes. 2. Their main two burgers are absolutely fantastic. Not a great experience, we were sitting on the patio and were harassed nonstop from a mentally ill person screaming profanities making impossible to have a conversation. There was no manager on duty and the waiter had no intention to confront this person. Asked for non spicy wings got burning hot one. Beer was good and service attentive. Update to answer the below: No I wasn't ask anything. I was the person trying to enjoy my guys night out that happens only once a month, and wasn't able to keep a conversation going because there was a person literally screaming in our face for over 30 min. This place could be great. The setup is bad and clearly the management is poor. Here was my experience: Had to exit in a 15-20 minute line to order a beer. The when I was ready to order food another 15 minute wait standing in line (not sitting outside enjoying my beer). My hamburger was okay, underwhelming really. Had the bacon (pork belly) burger on a salad instead of a bun. The burger was good the lettuce was wilted, very meager (lettuce is no costly), and just sad. I also ordered at the same time fries which can 20 minutes after I finished my burger. By that time I wanted another beer but the line was twice as long as before. I went to pay another 15 minute wait in line. The beer was okay not great. It would be easy to up level this place with better management and a better design on ordering. read more

This place is amazing! I ordered the mac and cheese and a lager and they were delicious! The food and drinks here are wonderful. The place was packed on Friday night and yet even though it was so crazy we got seated in 15 minutes and our server was delightful, kind, and attentive. Yum! We stopped in for a bite while waiting for our car to be repaired at the Toyota dealership. We were both planning on driving right after lunch, so we didn't partake of their beer selection - but we were pretty dang pleased with our lunches! I ordered the cheeseburger, and my husband ordered the veggie sandwich; and we both got an order of fries - the cheeseburger was good, but the veggie sandwich was incredible! Not a bad place to hang out after a long day of work. My friends and I showed up around 530/6 on a tuesday and it was already quite busy. There was a band in the back and all the outside chairs were full so we pulled up to a high boy table by the register and still enjoyed our time. We got the #3 beer which was a hazy ale and it was delicious. We both also ordered some burgers, veggie for him and full meat for me. They were good, but a little pricey. Especially the veggie option, it was around 12 dollars and neither included fries - those are side orders. This place was utterly disappointing. From the food to the ambience, and the service. First you have to stand in line and order your drinks like it's a cafeteria. On a busy evening like this, do you literally have to strategically tell your friend to grab a table while you order for everyone. We ordered the pickled veg assortment and we were told to serve ourselves and scoop it out of there serving jars right next to the register, which is really awkward especially if there's a long line behind you. There were a ton of little kids there, surprisingly. It was generally just an odd mix of people. There were people getting wasted next to little children that literally stare at you all evening and throw their food all over the floor. It's an amusing sight. I ordered the $9 pretzels which was a huge mistake because they were absolutely disgusting and small. It was a failed attempt at a homemade soft pretzel. It was really hard, strange looking and inedible. I was missing a part of my order- the soft cheese that could hopefully hide the blandness and soften the stale yet burning-lava-hot pretzel. The beer I ordered was fine because I've had it in the past, so no surprises there. As for the service, I honestly don't know why there's so many "waitresses." Seems like an easy gig though because all you do is stand around and bus tables. We didn't get served our complimentary water, which I thought was standard nowadays. and as I approached the flock of waitresses (that were busy doing nothing) and asked for the aforementioned missing cheese, one of them said "Well you know it's going to cost extra right?" despite me saying that I was missing my ordered cheese. This tiny serving of soft cheese was $2 which is absolutely absurd. The only silver lining here was that the cashier forgot to add the cheese to my order, despite me clearly stating I needed soft cheese with my pretzel. I mean who orders no dip with their pretzel? So basically I got a free side of cheese which in my opinion should've been free anyway for a $9 unimpressive pretzel. We were so bummed at this whole experience that we left to go to a different bar in an attempt to forget this place. Thank goodness there were plenty of better restaurants in walking distance. Safe to say, I'll never come back here again and wouldn't recommend to any of my friends and the yelp community. Please don't settle for this place. read more
