We came here for the first time after my daughter's graduation for lunch. It was around 1:30 and the restaurant seemed quiet with just a few tables being served. It looked like there was 1 waitress for all the tables. The restaurant was a little dark inside but overall it was spacious. The food came out fast and it was very good. I feel like the portions sizes could have been a little bit bigger compared to other restaurants but I think for the price, it was adequate. The kids' meals were def valuable as it included a drink and a dessert. Our waitress did forget one of our items but I think that's because she was handling tables on her own. My family and I came for breakfast at Perkins today. We ordered a Diet Coke and two cups of hot chocolate with whipped cream and two mammoth blueberry muffins to start. For our main dishes we had one build a breakfast, one magnificent seven and a chicken biscuit with eggs and potatoes. Our server was Caitlin and she was very happy and efficient. We enjoyed our breakfast. The ambiance was good the ac was working and the booths were clean and comfortable. Perkins also gave a free magnificent seven breakfast to the birthday girl. First, let me talk about the service. 5 stars every time. Everyone here is always so friendly. It's awesome! Even when I call in orders, they're so friendly on the phone. So many rude people in customer service positions these days, but definitely not here! Have only eaten inside the restaurant once. I had a turkey club. Wasn't anything spectacular, but it was piled high and really hit the spot. It was also a good price. Can't complain about that. Especially when it's late at night and dining options are extremely limited. My husband had a skillet meal. Don't recall the name, but he loved it. I did post a picture of it, so hope that helps. =) We mostly get whole pies from here. Again, great price. All we have tried are delicious. So easy to pick up and take to a potluck, dinner at a friend's, or a holiday event. My favorite is the strawberry. The French Silk pie is what dreams are made of. It had been awhile since I've been to Perkins and a coupon for a free birthday "Magnificent Seven" breakfast brought me back in. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server was fabulous. She was kind and kept our drinks full on a super hot day. Our food was tasty however it came out warm at best. The building is also in need of renovations. The ceiling tiles have mold on them and the air conditioning vents have rusted due to condensation. However, the restaurant is clean & has nice air conditioning. read more

I would've given 5 stars, but their menu states 5 less than $5, 6 less than $6 etc...and then they charge another $.50 an egg. At this rate the customer is paying for more than a dozen price match. The manager, Vinetta spent time talking to us to reassure us it is temporary. She was so kind, patient and very professional. We'll return this location for great management. We had a waitstaff, Ivette, she was friendly and attentive. Some of the menu items are better and more unique than most breakfast restaurants. My husband and I stopped in for breakfast after work (we work 3rd shift at Disney) and my dentist appointment. The parking lot was empty so I figured we could get in and out in our limited time frame. Our server was excellent and understood our rushed schedule. She took our drink orders and gave quick suggestions, we ordered and had our food piping hot and quickly. The coffee was delicious as was the breakfast skillet. The specialty donut my husband and I shared tasted like a Krispy Cream donut with fancy topping, it was okay but nothing I would order again. I met a friend here for lunch and she was already seated when I came in because I was running late. Karin came over immediately to get my drink order and answer any questions before l ordered. I was a little confused because the prices/menu had changed since the last time I was there. I told her what l wanted and she figured it out for me. She was so nice! She took such great care of us! Our drinks were never low because she brought us refills and when the food came out, she checked in with us to ensure that we were happy. I ordered 2 eggs and hash browns with onions and cheese. My friend ordered the Belgian waffle platter which included 2 eggs and bacon. The food was delicious and we were really pleased with our experience! The atmosphere is refreshing. Like everything usually at this location (Altamonte) except customer service has gone downhill over last 1-2 yrs. No one up front to seat you a lot, you have to hunt someone down or a server ends up looking for Mgr.?! Mgrs have changed often last 2 yrs since the great one that was there for a LONG time and retired to start his own business. What a horrible experience!! Where do I start ?? Waitress was friendly but came across rough edges,she asked me what I was drinking and told her coffee knowing they put in carafe !! Went to restroom returned quickly wanting my coffee and no coffee,no carafe nothing!! Why ask then ? Waitress finally did calm after a few minutes asked me what I wanted. Told her no because I haven't been there in a long time so I need to research the menu. I felt rushed so I just ordered the pot roast skillet ordered eggs over easy with toast and requested country gravy ! Well, my skillet arrives. The potatoes were deep-fried very little onions and peppers and if I got 10 little pieces of shredded cheese, it was amazing. The eggs were cooked perfectly fine, but the hashbrowns were completely overcooked and hard, and my gravy was sitting for a while because it had a film on the top in the bowl, half of my toe was burnt and the other half wasn't even cooked . Coffee is absolutely terrible.! when I brought it up to the manager upon checkout once the waitress was so kind of dropped my bill and told me it should be right back to check on me, but she never came back so I gathered my things and left up to pay the manager, asked me how my meal was and I asked him if he wanted my opinion and he said yes and I told him it" S----d!! he said OK thank you for letting me know. I'm gonna go talk to the cook about what happened and I will give you 20% off your bill. Well my whole plate just about was not even eaten. I don't feel that this is appropriate compensation. My whole experience was absolutely terrible not looking for a free meal, but this was absolutely ridiculous for $20.!! Went to dinner for the first time to Perkins Restaurant in Altamonte Springs. The place looked okay, a bit old fashioned. We got seated after a few minutes as the person taking payment was also the host but I told him I could not stand for long as I had a bad back. Our service was okay. And we got our food at a reasonable time. I always read the Yelp reviews before I go to a restaurant and this one had some negative reviews. Ordered Turkey lunch. Glad it had a discount for seniors. They give you a lot of food. I never finish my plate. Always take some home. There was plenty left. The sauce on the Turkey was very salty so I could not eat my lunch and the waitress brought back some mashed potatoes. I think the whole meal was too salty. I should have sent it all back. Eating out is expensive anymore but this place had reasonable prices. Had a nice cherry pie and it came with ice cream. Might come back again but I won't order the Turkey lunch anymore. read more

My family and I have been coming here for years, and when I say years I mean yearsss. That's right I'm a rare breed of true Orlando natives. This location is by far the best Perkins I've been too throughout central Florida. Every time we come we get excellent service and food comes out quick. It does get pretty busy on sundays though so keep that in mind. I came here today for my monthly breakfast date with my dad and they have the cutest deserts out ready for Valentine's Day. Their pumpkin muffins are always by favorite during the holidays and they now have a Valentine's Day pumpkin muffin. One more thing to add is they give 10% military discount. Their service is really bad at the Altamonte location I had to wait to be seated. Then when I was seated the waitress walked pass me twice without saying a word. Then they seated a man and his father and the waitress came right to their table. Again walked pass me by then I am pissed I walked out. This is unacceptable behavior. Came here on a Saturday morning with some friends. It was their first time here so it was exciting for them! They've been IHOP fans for life, but this visit changed their minds. The first they notice is that it's a lot quieter than an IHOP, which makes the dining experience more pleasant. We were seated immediately and our orders were taken shortly after. My boyfriend and I are always Perkin's fans, and we just added two more on the list - our friends. The portions are bigger, the food is tastier, and the ambiance is mellow. We visited Perkins this morning for breakfast. We ordered the Granny Omelette and a Veggie Omelette. One with toast and the other with a short stack. Enjoyed both dishes. Our service was good. The decorations were very festive. Michael the manager was very attentive to the guests. Noticed a couple of associates with heavy cigarette odor about them. Observed them out back when pulling in. One came to sit us. Not very appetizing. If this didn't occur, a fourth star would have been given. Will return breakfast again. read more

We were staying at a hotel next-door in the mood for breakfast and we walked into Perkins and immediately fell in love with his quaint little place. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the bakery oh my goodness the baked goods looked incredible, a variety of cookies, muffins, and pies that were looked absolutely delicious. We were greeted warmly and sat at our table, the waitress came over I think her name was Michelle I apologize if I'm wrong, but she was fantastic. The food came in about 15 minutes later and everything was hot and fresh and delicious, my hash browns weren't cooked all the way but then she was so sweet and brought me a new order. We sat and talked for a little bit and then the survey came over and said it was Monday pi day, we were able to get a fresh piece of pie of our choice, instead I gifted it to the older gentleman that was sitting across from us he was very grateful and it made me happy to. We came here for lunch. I got a ham and cheese omelette and my husband got roast beef. The food and prices are great but the service is awful. We asked for waters in addition to soft drinks and iced tea. The waitress said she would bring it. I finished my tea. Although the waitress walked by our table several times she ignored my empty glass. About 10-15 minutes later she brought our food and finally picked up my glass to refill. Don't EVER come to Perkins when the heavy weight manager and the Spanish server with glasses. They are racist and they NEVER make us feel welcomed or accommodated. Considering that we spend a LOT of money here we get treated nasty. The ONLY time that our experience is pleasant is when Dale is on shift. The heavy weight manager at night always LIES and says the "shake machine" is down and broken. Meanwhile there is NO shake machine they HAND make their shakes. That Spanish waitress with the glasses is always rude and lying as well along with her manager on shift. I will be contacting corporate. What a liar definitely great management skills I would say! Dale should be the only server you ask for he's the best and he's super pleasant! Went for breakfast one morning when overnighting at an Altamonte Springs hotel on New Years Eve. . . i know it's "just Perkins", but it's damned good. Service is spot on, prices are very reasonable, and it's flat out YUMMY. I love their Eggs Benedict especially. . . i can always count on their consistency. read more
