We got curbside pickup for the build your own breakfast thing earlier because we were craving pancakes and it's literally across the street from where we live. The ordering experience was great; there wasn't an option to ask for extra crispy bacon but we called and they were happy to do that. My spouse went to get our food after it had been 15 minutes since we ordered. He called when he got there and an automated message said to try again later. He tried a couple minutes later and it just rang and ran. After about 10 minutes, someone finally saw him and brought our food out. The food was okay. It was cold from sitting so long but we reheated it a little and that made it better. It satisfied our craving which is what we were looking for. Looking forward to when we can safely dine-in here because Perkins was one of my favorite places to eat when I was a kid. read more

Just awful. My husband and I were hosting a party.l and decided to treat everyone to pies and cake for dessert. This place is NOT a bakery! After about 20 minutes of confusion on charging for pies and cakes and an overall racist undertone to my husband from the server. We get home and we had received a FROZEN plain cheesecake. We'd requested the strawberry cheesecake that we'd seen on the poster with whipped cream and strawberries. When I explain this I'm looked at like I'm dumb.. uh who's spending $35 on a plain frozen cheesecake. Like uhh we wanted fresh.. The manager comes out to explain that it was fresh when they froze it and again looks at me like I'm dumb. What's a good reason to go to Perkins? Pie, muffins, and traditional American breakfasts are all legit answers. I was surprised to realize we hadn't been there in years, but after our visit, I remembered why. Let's start with the physical. Our table was visibly sloping to one end, and was so loose that even resting an arm on it caused huge movement. On to food. I aimed for the center of what Perkins does well, ordering a Granny's Omelette with breakfast potatoes and an apple cinnamon muffin. The omelette was good. The potatoes were slightly off; maybe the grease was old. The muffin was delicious. Overall, A-. Service? I liked our waitress; she had a sense of humor. But the truth is, she didn't take great care of us. I sat there with an empty iced tea for a long time. Finally, my wife asked for it to be refilled, and the answer was "sure", but it never was; apparently it was forgotten. It's not that Perkins is bad - it's not - but with many, many other options, I'm just being honest when I say we're not exactly in a rush to go back. read more

We were very excited to learn that there was a Perkins near us as we've recently moved to Fort Collins. (It's an old favorite that we grew up with back east) We had a 5 Star experience at the Perkins this morning in Loveland on Eisenhower Rd. We were cheerfully greeted at the door and taken to our table. Our server, Jane greeted us straight away at our table to say hello and take our drink order. Jane was very friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly and she came back to check on us several times. The food was very good and the light fluffy pancakes brought back fond memories of growing up in Ohio. I realize some folks steer clear of franchises but this location is a hidden gem. All in all it was a great experience and I highly recommend it. BTW on a side note, the bakery is awesome. We got some Chocolate French Silk Pie to go and it was fantastic. read more

We have a long history with the delicious pancakes that can only be found at a Perkins! We have enjoyed Perkins in Ohio, PA, and Virginia for many years and were very happy that we found a local one...we are new to the area. This morning we enjoyed breakfast with our six year old grandson, and we all cleaned our plates! We had a delicious Everything Omelette with fluffy pancakes, and pancakes and bacon for our grandson...he can't wait to come back, and neither can we! Probably on Monday to claim our free yummy slice of pie!!! Brenda was our server today, and she was friendly and attentive, as well as the hostess and cashier that helped us. Perkins was a fun surprise for me and my family. We came late at night, so i didn't expect exceptional service, but that is what we were met with! Our server was extremely kind and very sociable, and the manager checked in with us multiple times as well. My son's food allergy was readily acknowledged, and the resteraunt seemed to stop to make sure the allergy was taken care of, which put me and my wife at ease. Unbelievably bad. I phoned in an order to Megan (Meghan?). I thought she was quite pleasant on the phone. The order total was around $40. I drive across town with my wife to pick up the order to bring it home. I walk in and there's Megan. She seemed pleasant in person too. She had my order ready to go even. Then things soured. I had Perkins gift cards to use to apply toward the order. She said she couldn't take them. Her excuses ranged from she didn't know how to do it to the machine wasn't working. A bunch of excuses. I said something like Really? She said she'd check with the manager. The manager comes out and says the same thing. So I go outside to my wife who was waiting in the car. I told her what had happened. So she CALLS them and in a firm but polite way tells them we drove across town, we were looking forward to this nice treat, etc. and guess what? They tell her now that they can take the gift cards. After telling me no. She goes in and pays with the gift cards. So it wasn't that they couldn't do it, it was that they didn't want to do it. We decided to try dinner here last night. We have never eaten at this location before. First impressions were on a Friday night at prime dinner time there was hardly anyone in the place. Our waitress did not point out the daily special or the most important thing we noticed after we ordered we could have got choices for a full entree, drink and pie for $11.99. They had these specials in a not so obvious place behind the napkin holders at every table. Why not put it in the menu that was given? The food was fair, pretty average typical not so special meal. Prices were on the high side for just about everything. Average meal was probably $9 and up. I have paid this in Estes Park and gotten much better food. The inside of this place seemed in need of repairs, noticed drywall that had been smashed and looked pretty unsightly. The cashier that rang us up could not calculate a discount coupon we had correctly which was rather unbelievable. You would think that during a pandemic, and being one of only a few places that are open for inside dining, they would make sure to be on top of things. We went here today at 4:15 and there were only 2 tables and one booth that had people at them. And three employees doing nothing. Standing around laughing and talking. We got no service. No one came over to ask us what we wanted to drink or anything else. After 10 minutes of no service we got up and left. So disappointing. went here last night after the Loveland football game. I ordered the pork chops and eggs breakfast with the country style potatoes and sourdough toast to be buttered while it was hot. when the meal finally arrived the first thing I noticed was the potatoes where so over cooked they were almost at the burnt stage. I the waitress to bring me a side plate and I explained that the potatoes where so over cooked they were practically burnt. It took 10 minutes for that plate to arrive. Then I noticed that the toast had been buttered on only 1 side and that it was buttered while the toast was cold there was no butter on any of the 3 remaining slices. They eggs were cold and the pork chops were luke warm at best. It took about 30 minutes for the order to arrive from the time the order was taken. By the time the side plate arrived I had decided to not eat the meal so I gave it back. I would highly suggest you stay away from this place. If it were possible to give a rating of -5 that is what I WOULD DO. read more

We had absolutely horrid service at the Perkins near the New Mexico border, were totally ignored, then this is the second time ordering food from here, that the food is terrible. I had the mushroom spinach skillet, my advice? If you want something healthier and tasty, this is NOT the place to get it. Their pancakes and French toast are good, but how do you have a skillet with mushrooMs and spinach and not put feta on it? After reading the ingredients more closely, I wouldn't have ordered what I did, had I known. The servings are ridiculously small compared to what they used to be. Change isn't always good, and these guys have figured out how to ruin a once good thing. read more

If I could give a negative star rating I would. This perkins location is a joke. I saw the restaurant manager Dani ( I think that's her name) stand back behind the registry counter with her back to the door or in the back in the kitchen. I saw two elderly customers grab their own menus & seat themselves. The manager even sat down at a table to talk with a customer while she had other customers waiting to be seated. If I had the district manager's number I would be calling them. My food was cold & she tried to charge me more than my bill was worth. I feel sorry for the wait staff working under her. We ate at the Perkins near Kmart in Loveland today for lunch. Our server, Sarah, took our order and dropped off our bill. That was all she did. The manager, Jennifer, checked me out at the counter and ran our food. Had under cooked chicken on my salad and did not eat it. No apology of any kind was said when I told the manager. She explained it was smoked and could make it pink. Would have eaten the salad had we known. Told her of the poor service no apology said again and blamed it on being extremely busy and short staffed. Will never return to another Perkins. Do not go to eat here. read more

First time here and it was pretty good. Ordered 2 good sized entrees and 2 coffees and it was just under $30. Pretty decent price for the size of the meals. We didn't get checked on very much but we didn't need much either. Wasn't terrible but wasn't amazing. read more

We ate there last week and we're very pleased. Today we ate there and ordered the same thing since is was good last time,Chicken-fried steak and eggs. This time potatoes were half crispy and half raw, the chicken-fried steak needed to be cooked longer... it was tan and not browned dry toast no butter. Hostess/ cashier asked how everything was. The food is usually ok, but we always have to wait 5+ minutes to be seated, then another long wait to be cashed out before we leave, and this is with no one in front of us. They simply just don't watch the front. Took my kids there for a late breakfast a few days ago since the entire front window is painted to advertise KIDS FREE PIE ON MONDAYS!!! After we finished and waited the obligatory 5+ minutes for someone to come to the register, I noticed that the pies were on our bill. I asked about it, and they said that the free pie doesn't start until 11?!? Apparently there's fine print somewhere. They took it off the bill but were argumentative and said that our server should have told us about the 11 o'clock thing. We ate here this morning for breakfast after church. I'm not sure what the other reviewers were expecting, but if you want a good breakfast at a good price, this was it. We wanted a little smaller meal, so we ordered from a menu of $4 to $8 meals. They were both delicious, cooked exactly the way we asked, and definitely hot. That was not Hollandaise Sauce, people. For shame. While I'm not one to lay down the culinary law like some I've seen (ie the Irish soda bread recipe site that goes on at length about how Irish soda bread simply cannot contain jalapenos, for the Irish of yore did not *have* jalapenos), I do think it wise, good, best, sincere, trustworthy and important to at the very least contain egg yolk, butter, and some acidity ingredient (like lemon juice or vinegar) in any sauce you list on your menu as Hollandaise. Chocolate sauce that does not contain chocolate should not be called chocolate sauce and Hollandaise sauce that does not contain the three traditional ingredients likewise should not be called Hollandaise sauce. I asked our server for the ingredients of their Hollandaise sauce and was told that they do not make it in house (first mistake, you ask me) and that the container reports the sauce contains corn starch, some 6 or 7 spices, milk and butter. No mention of an acidity ingredient (I thought I tasted citric acid) or egg yolks. Listen, that's just not Hollandaise sauce. A tart cream sauce, perhaps, but not Hollandaise. Perhaps they went down this road in order to claim Hollandaise sauce without having to make it. Hollandaise is really an art, and improperly made Hollandaise can also be a health risk, but then again, it seems to me that if they were truly worried about my health, they would not have filled the fruit cup with cubed melons, which is the absolute riskiest fruit to be served at a restaurant. Sooooooo ... just go to Denny's. They are what they are. Am I right? read more

We were just passing through the day before the eclipse and got take out from this restaurant. The food was OK... the food that they actually gave us and that was warm. The soup was cold, the salad was missing, and the rest looked like it had been dropped or stepped on. I contacted the manager and she said that someone would contact me and would compensate me somehow. Well, that never happened.
