A wonderful local spot to grab food here in Leander, especially a nice breakfast! This review will be based solely on their breakfast as I haven't had a chance to try the lunch menu yet. Service is always fantastic, the ambiance is very chill with a farmhouse/rustic vibe, and the food is always very good-consistent as well! I haven't eaten anything here that I haven't liked, and I can't wait to try more! My kiddo loves his breakfast meals here too! It is a smaller location, so it gets VERY busy especially on weekends when there is a long wait and a line of people out the door-it's that popular! The wait is worth it though for the food. How have I not reviewed Perky Beans before?! We started going to the coffee shop drive thru when they opened right around the start of the pandemic. We were so excited to get a local coffee shop and so worried they may not make it. Yet here we are a few years later, getting The Boss Lattes from the coffee shop and Golden State Benedict's at the Cafe! Or Chocolate Chip Pancakes. Or Candied Bacon (omg the candied bacon brunch starter. Is there a drool emoji?) If you go on a Friday morning, the drive thru line for the coffee shop can be long, but it usually moves fast. They have two spots for people to park in if the order is going to take longer so it won't back up the line too much. Staff on both sides of the wall are great and have always been helpful. The cafe side doesn't have "fancy" lattes or teas, but you can walk to the coffee shop side, get one, and bring it over to eat with your challah French toast. read more

Fabulous food, drinks and a drive-thru gets me every time! Oh and did I mention that service comes with smiles and a dog biscuit for my dog?! Yep, the peeps at Perky Beans think of everything to make sure everyone has a good experience. I love their Royal Cookie and smoothies. And the sandwiches are decent as well for a quick snack. Another one of our favorite breakfast spots-- great service, yummy coffee, super fun atmosphere and great food. They always have specials so there are a lot of options if you don't like to eat the same thing every time. We were on a recent visit to Austin and stopped by this cute restaurant for breakfast. The service was fantastic! Our server Rebecca was super friendly and attentive. Biscuits were amazing, eggs were good too, but the potatoes had way too much oil in them. You can see how much oil it had in the photo. We also had the club and it didn't have mayo on them like they usually do, it had some odd tasting dressing on it instead, not good at all. Not much of a fan of this place anymore. read more

We stopped by today around 11ish, we went to drive through, ordered house coffee and cappuccino. Cappuccino was good, I like cappuccino strong but it was way too strong, I got it with whole milk but still it wasn't smooth and felt like it needed bit more milk. Coffee was good, we got it with milk and sugar but had to add some more milk after coming home, maybe there beans are strong. I went for a quick coffee date with a friend and to my surprise this restaurant is not only a coffee shop but a restaurant attached that you can access from either entrance. I went for coffee but decided to try out their blood orange margarita and French toast. The blood orange Margarita was mixed well but I wasn't aware that it came with a black salt rim. Although I don't usually like margaritas with salt it did not take away from the drink. Very tasty. The French toast was even better. Very simple but flavorful. We sat and chatted for a while so I ordered a glass of champagne and it was so fresh! Tasted like a freshly opened bottle of bubbly. Our server was super sweet and didn't mind that I needed a minute to look at the menu because they offer so many optioned for food. She was ready to answer any and all questions we had. Very solid Cafe fair and they have excellent Potato Skins and Pastrami Reuben sandwiches. The atmosphere is nice and light and the staff is typically friendly and quick. Where they really shine outside of the service and food is the coffee. Even though they are technically a chain, it really does taste home grown and brewed. There are some issues I've seen where the coordination between the coffee shop and cafe is a bit... lacking, but it's never easy to run a dual business and it's great enough I give them a pass. read more

I enjoy the ambience as well and staff is very attentive. My sister loves eggs Benedict and she says there's is one of the best she's ever had. I frequent Perky Beans Coffee (more so than I should publicly admit) and there's a reason I come back as often as I do. Employees are super sweet. Coffee & Food hits the spot. I get their vanilla late 90% of the time... cause it's simply delicious... and 95% of the time I get the avocado toast. I could seriously write an ode to their avocado toast with its garlic aioli magic. Plus it doesn't hurt that they're one of the rare places that actually gives you a *solid* amount of avocado on your toast. In the 5% of time that I don't order the Avocado toast I've also had their Caprese Sandwich, Bagel Breakfast Sandwich and Acai Bowls -- all great. TLDR: Easily the best independent coffee shop in Northwest Austin. Yelp suggested Perky Beans as a new coffee place open near me to try. It's located in a shopping center directly off of 183, north of Bryson Hills Trail. I like the vibe here, from the friendly service to the arty, 'distressed' look of the interior. I also like how (so far) it isn't overly crowded and (so far) hasn't diluted its appeal by trying to be brew pub or corporate coffee-klatch clone. I've ordered the Bullfrog (latte with a dash of mint flavor) and the Mexican Chocolate (latte with chocolate, cinnamon, and I think nutmeg). The Bullfrog's a bit sweet for my taste but the Mexican Chocolate hits the spot every time. Prices are in line for coffee shops of this type, they have a nice selection of baked goods and a couple sandwiches, what more can you ask for coffee shop except great atmosphere? (Which they have in spades, I might add.) This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK being seen eating here by Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Never knew Perky Beans opened a cafe but glad they did! Their coffee side serves great coffee drinks. The cafe side- first time here but I needed a wheel barrow on the side to help me out haha. Outstanding Benedicts here! My boyfriend had the golden state and caprese Benedict. I had the golden state as well with the southwest steak Benedict. (Sampler platters) we ordered 2 pancakes, coffee, sausage patty and a Dublin iced coffee. My favorite was the southwest steak Benedict. It was on point! Benedict were beautifully presented and the marinated steak was tender and delicious! The spiked Dublin coffee is a bit on the sweet side but tasted good.
