    Mocha

Fantastic drink, service, and ambiance. This coffee shop does it all very well. I didn't try any of the food, but it looked delicious. The mocha I had was wonderful. Outside, it was a perfect day to hangout and the area to sit outside is welcoming and pleasant. The negative would be that there was a long line because there was only one barista taking orders and drinks, not sure if that's normal or not. The drink was also pretty expensive. I'm willing to overlook those two things though because overall, a fantastic experience!!

We stopped in here for breakfast before heading back home to Indianapolis. We each ordered a cappuccino with almond milk and a Breakfast Sammy with cheddar. We also got a blueberry cake donut and a pistachio muffin to share because they didn't have a whole lot of pastry options. There was only one person working when we went and it was very busy, so it was a little bit of a wait. Granted it was a Friday morning, so that could be why (or just because they are great). The coffee only came in one size, which I was a little sad about since we needed the pep for driving, but that's okay because they were delicious. The breakfast sandwiches came out super hot and after they cooled down a bit we devoured them. The parmesan egg was incredible!! So savory. We split the pistachio muffin and blueberry cake donut later on during our drive. While both were great, we both wished we had each just gotten our own blueberry cake donut. It was so moist and filled to the brim with blueberries. A must have little treat if you stop in!

I will be a little bold here and say this is the best coffee shop in Sarasota. In terms of food, coffee, and ambience, it wins all hands down. What really makes this coffee shop special to me is the variety of food and how fresh and delicious it is. Some of my favorites are the bagel sandwich, parfait, and biscuit sandwich. Their bacon is next level and the egg they use on their sandwiches is really well seasoned which just makes everything extra tasty. Coffee is a little pricey but worth every penny. They have great quality beans and exceptional service. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area. The hours are pretty short (but very impressive considering only two people work here!)

Such a gem of a spot! The owners are a husband-and-wife team he crafts the coffee, and she makes everything homemade in the kitchen. They're originally from Australia and rotate their coffee roasters weekly, featuring espresso blends from all over the U.S. I had what might be the best coffee I've ever tasted: a single-origin Ethiopian blend from Portland, Oregon. We both ordered maple lattes and were blown away. Absolutely worth the stop! Well done !

If you are a coffee connoisseur, don't waste your time going anywhere else, this place was amazing from the coffee to the food. The lines were long but well worth the wait, he pumped it out pretty quick.

Cutest little coffee shop walking distance from the hospital. It gets pretty busy around noon but the coffee and food make it worth the wait!

As good as it gets! Having lived the last ten years in Manhattan and Portland, this place is as good as anywhere.

Best espresso in Sarasota! So glad to have found this place for our regular visits to SRQ. The craft behind what they do is shockingly good.

We need more places like Perq in Sarasota. The coffee is great. The atmosphere is perfect. The baristas are super-friendly.

Awful awful service. I stood at the register for a long time without anyone taking my order. I left.

This is where we go when we miss New York City, but I think the coffee may actually be better at Perq (and more expensive!)

Had a great flat white. Nice place, right up there with the better coffee places in NYC and SFO. A treat for Florida.

I will always Stan C'est La Vie in Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch. This location is always busy so get…read morethere early if you have your eyes on a specific pastry. Actually, just get there early anyway because the pastry items are fresher/better. There's indoor and outdoor seating. I typically skip trying to park next to it and just go to the garage and walk over. The service is more attentive than a typical French cafe overseas but not as on top of you as a typical place in the US. You can definitely order at the counter in French if you want to and I've had a waiter there flip between English, French, Spanish, and another language (maybe Romanian?) in one order. The sandwiches I've had were all lovely, and had a little side salad that could benefit from a better dressing (they serve an okay vinaigrette though). I've yet to encounter a single bad pastry - the elcairs, mousse cakes, and flaky pastries like chausson pommes are on par with the typical boulangerie/pattisserie in France and don't make me think US adaptation at all. Prices are reasonable.

I got the poularde crepe, wanting something savory. This was solid and tasty. Everyone else got nice little meals as well. I do feel like the portion and the quality is a little lacking for the price. That being said, I don't know that there are better French options in the area. I also got a palmier pastry and I should have gotten a croissant, the palmier tasted a little stale. The locale was adorable, with beautifully tiles tables really setting the scene. Overall, not terrible! Worthwhile if you're really feeling French.
