Grilling some meat on the dock, for those of us who have an aversion toward fish and crustaceans.

The Lobster Shack is a small, BYOB, lobster shack, on a wharf in Surry, Maine. It has no land food. This is a traditional Lobster Shack, like those you will find throughout most of the small inlets and peninsulas, along the coast of Maine. The atmosphere is great. All seating is outside at picnic styles bench and tables. Seating is on a long wharf jutting out into Blue Hill Bay. Together with the salt air, and views of Cadillac Mountain in the background, the aesthetic is sublime. I am not a fan of seafood, but my wife and family are, so I will rate the food based on their descriptions. Food receives thumbs up. The lobster is steamed just right. Corn is tender. Rolls are typical white, soft rolls found in New England. Steamers are good, and receive praise from my family. For those who only eat land food, bring food to bbq, they have a grill for you to use. There is locally made soda to drink, and if you need an alcoholic beverage, BYOB. Dessert is good. Ice cream from Morton's Moo and pie at times. Service is good. Servers are attentive in this casual atmosphere. We have been frequenting this location for years, and always come back. Although I don't eat seafood, I always eat the corn and rolls, with whatever meat dish I brought. This is a great place, and really, the prices and servings are no different than any other lobster shack and pound within the state. For the lobster lover, looking for a splendid location, this place is for you.

We were staying down the road in a B & B and decided to go here for lunch. We arrived at 1:30 thinking the lunch crowd would be gone. Wrong! We had to wait for a table. However, the wait was well worth it as the lobster dinner I ordered was outstanding. If you like lobster you will love the lobster here. Order the lobster/clams special. Comes with slaw, corn on the cob, roll and melted butter for $22.00. Be prepared as they accept cash or check only. I also ordered a Blueberry soda and I was in heaven. If you are out on the Neck this is a must stop.

Fantastic. 5 stars for lobster and 5 stars for fantastic setting. Very low key place off the beaten path. Find a way to go and you won't be disappointed. We went last week and I can't wait to go back

Best lobster in the area, with one of the best views you can get! Definitely don't skip the lobster roll and a walk on Carrying Place Beach afterwards.

The Lobster Shack known as Perry's to the locals was outstanding! The view was beautiful! We all had lobsters and it was great! The two ladies working on that rainy event my could not have been more friendly! Very sweet! I would love to go back there some day!

Idyllic setting outside on a pier above a beautiful bay in Surry. The lobster roll and crab rolls were delicious and buttery! Blueberry pie was pretty great too. The staff was super friendly and welcoming (it's BYOB just as a note). Can't emphasize enough how special this place is. I was obviously a tourist, but it didn't feel touristy at all. Highly recommended.

Seeing it in the distance fills me with an overwhelming sense of excitement as it meant returning to one of my favorite hiking spots in New England (so far) and beginning a weeklong binge on Maine's freshest seafood. I absolutely love this tiny and unassuming (from the outside) seafood market and couldn't wait to be back again this year. Last year, it was the first stop to pick up ingredients for my weeklong visit to Acadia National Park. This year, after a whole year of telling anyone and everyone I knew visiting Acadia, it was once again my first stop after I started driving from Boston. Loaded Lobster Roll - check. Loaded Crab Roll - check. Dorr Hoodie - check. Fresh scallops - check. 5# bag of steamers - check. Calamari salad - check. A pair of lovely fresh and alive lobsters for later - check. Some of the freshest stuff at really competitive prices. What's there not to like? Oh yeah, there is Tim with his super sarcastic sense of humor. A conversation with him just absolutely cracks me up. Super nice dude with a lot of information and makes the overall experience here even better than it already is. I also got to meet the father and son owners during this visit. Always glad to meet the hardworking fishermen behind the amazing product that I've become addicted to.

They have fresh and frozen soups for sale, and a single refrigerator display of a few fine pieces of seafood. They do the lobster, too, of course. I went with the scallops, a quart of New England Clam Chowder, and two pounds of fresh haddock. My wife made some awesome fish and chips with the haddock, had some beautiful sautéed scallops, and the soup was excellent. Was about $75 for everything, and we'd come back. The two gentlemen running the place answered all my questions and were more than happy to assist.

After a day in Arcadia National Park, we saw Trenton Bridge Lobster pound as we were driving home,…read moresaw bunch of lobster pots outside with steam coming out of it and we knew we had to stop by and oh boy we sure glad we did. We ordered crab cakes, 2 large whole lobster, clam chowders, cocktail shrimp, blueberry pie and ice cream. Crab cakes- The crab cakes were the best crab cakes I have ever eaten in my life. TONS of crab in the crab cakes, not just bread. I had to saver each bite. The owner, she told us she is the one who makes the crab cakes every day. Cocktail shrimp and clam chowder- both were ok, nothing special, I wouldn't order it again. 2 Whole Lobsters- Both lobsters weighed in a total of 5lbs all together. Oh man, the boiled lobsters were absolutely amazing and delicious. Tons of meat in the lobsters, great texture, firm and tender. Highly recommend getting a lobster. Blueberry pie and ice cream- To end off a great dinner, the blueberry and ice cream definitely hit the spot. Lots of blueberry, crust was good, and I love how the pie isn't too sweet. OVERALL, I was so happy we stopped and tried Trenton bridge lobster Pound. The staff were great, talked to the owner and she said Saturday was going to be the last day of the season, so we really got lucky stopping by on a Friday right before they were going to close for the season. I enjoyed the food so much, I even bought a hoodie to support, The hoodie is embroidered with there logo on the front. Thank you again for a wonder meal, and I will definitely come back!!

We knew what we wanted because we looked while we waited. Things we ordered: clam chowder, lobster pot and crab pot. Clam chowder - this is the best clam Chowder I have ever had in my life. I still think about it. The most fresh and flavorful clam chowder ever. 5/5 stars Lobster pot - comes with steamers, corn and potatoes. It's what you expect. If you are expecting a west coast seafood boil that comes in a bag this is not it. It's simple and delicious Crab pot - 1 whole corn on the cob and a couple of potatoes and a couple of smaller clusters of crab. Again it's simple and delicious. I would come back here every single time to get the clam chowder. This place is a must for that alone.
