My pump was leaking, and I asked around for recommendations. Perry's kept coming up. And for good reason. They came out to my place to fix the leak, and let me know that the pump itself was about to go (bearings were shot). They offered to take care of it there and save me another trip charge... but I didn't have the funds at the time. I hoped it'd last thru the season. Well, two weeks later it was unusable. Way too loud to run. With the hot weather coming, still water was gonna turn green quickly. Perry's came back out and took care of it. It's now running like a well-oiled machine, and still leak free. When your pool pump/motor dies your pool service will probably want you to buy a new one at $2000 or so. Often the problem is a $50 capacitor or a ~$200 rebuild, if you take it in yourself. Otherwise Perry's comes to you and diagnoses and solves the problem much cheaper than your pool guy. I have taken multiple pumps and motors in and they quickly fix them up. I'm a homeowner and landlord, not mechanically inclined, but removing the old pump and installing the rebuilt one is generally easy. Just make sure the breaker is off!!!!! read more

I called company again, we double checked Dana's number - I sent follow up message and nothing. Till today - 11 days later. Would give 6 stars if possible, Have a Jandy pump they were able to replace affordable instead of $2000+ by other pool contractors. Recently needed to replace impeller and they guided me how to disassemble to bring in to them. Then stayed place closing time to fix and showed me how the reassemble myself. The repairman started taking it apart and found an acorn stuck inside as well as worn shoes, a broken gear and both seals worn out. I took a motor to them in February 2024 and they tested it, then gave me some options. I chose a rebuild with new bearings. They called the next day to say the motor was burnt and quoted a price for an exchange. The exchange was not that great. One of the capacitor wires was pinched badly and will need to be replaced. The terminal block was cracked in two places. The housing I gave them was very well taken care of and the one they gave me smelled heavily and required 3 days to gas off outside. The car required the windows to be open foi9r several days as well. The motor moans loudly in low speed 24/7. To me, a refurbished motor should have a good terminal block and no pinched wires, and not moan! read more

I took a pool pump motor in to have a s e al replaced and was told it would take a couple of days. Three days later I checked on it and was told it was next to be worked on. I went back at end of work day and was told it still wasn't done and they would work on it the following Monday and they would call me when it was done. The following Monday came and went and no phone call mean while my pool is getting neglected. They should have been honest with me and said it would be a couple of weeks and not led me on saying it was next and would be ready the next day. Had I known it would take this long I would have taken it somewhere else. I have used Perry's several other times and never had this problem before. Perry's Pool used to be a respected family business. In the past year we've had serious issues. Failure to schedule a service call, even after numerous promises and follow up requests. It's as if they don't really care. Second, lying about a discontinued part. Selling us what they had in stock, only later finding out the part is NOT discontinued. What's next? Not sure we'll stick around to find out. Lying to a customer is unforgivable. I'm sorry to submit such a review, but change often requires enlightenment. read more

My Pool Pump stopped working and always the Breaker tripped. Uninstalled the Pump and brought it to Perry's Shop. Was expecting for a waiting time of some Days or Weeks to repair the Pump. But the Guy grabbed the Pump right to the Counter, had checked all Possibilities and found the defective Condenser right on the Spot. He replaced the Condenser, cleaned the Pump, sold me some new Gaskets and a tube of Magic Lube. All together I was waiting about 30 Min. and then I got my working Pump. Came home from a weeks vacation to find our pool pump motor not working. We went to Perry's on a friend's recommendation. Place was full of activity on a late Saturday morning. The workers at Perry's are knowledgeable and quick. They diagnosed our motor shot along with the impeller. It literally took them 15 minutes to take the motor out of the housing install a new 1hp motor and new impeller. The best part was it was less than $200. Finding a pool place that knows what they are talking about is rare these days. The folks at Perry's are the exception. After being told by several other pool "professionals" my pump needed to be replaced and being quoted between $2,500-3,500, I was referred to Perry's. I brought in my pump and got it fixed in less than 24 hrs for $200. They are very friendly, knowledgeable and have great customer service. The only downfall is they only have one location and it's on the West side of town. I'm in the East Valley but will be using Perry's for any of my pool needs moving forward. read more

The very best pool supply company out there. I used to visit Perry's quite frequently but moved out of the area. When my Pentair Tucson wasn't working I knew the only place I trusted to look at it was Perry's. I took it down there and they were able to fix it in a matter of minutes. Best part was they told me "No Charge". This business and it's people are a credit to the pool supply industry as there are so many out there that take advantage of women because they think they don't know any better. The people are friendly, extremely helpful, and probably some of the most knowledgeable in the city. Customer service or lack there or. Been there twice in the last month. Both times no one even acknowledged that I was waiting to buy a product. I stood there right by the counter while they were dealing with another customer taking a long time ,first time over ten minutes, second time over 5 minutes. It seems like I did not exist. I purchased a backwash handle for my pool 2 to 3 months ago. I went with an offbrand part to save some money. It turns out that parts failed and the handle was not usable. Half of it was stuck in the pool return pipes and it took about a month for me to be able to get a pool guy out to remove the part. I brought the two parts back to the store hoping that I would get a discount on a replacement for a Hayward backwash handle. I explained the situation to the gentleman working and showed him photos I took on the day the parts filled. He went back to the shelf and grabbed the Hayward handle and handed it to me and said you're all set. I was so surprised and even asked him if he needed to look up my original purchase. I was beyond impressed. My Pentair VP bearings went out and the unit was very loud, was originally told by a pool guy that I needed to buy a new one. However someone referred me to Perry's pool and they not only repaired the interior of the unit, which now works smoothly and quietly, but they painted the outer body, all within a week. I thought it was properly priced as well, and they were super nice. Excellent customer service. Even though it's out of my way I will be coming back for all my pool needs.
