Our pool tile is more than 20 years old and we absolutely think it's still the most beautiful we've seen. Over time and Arizona's sunshine though it requires replacement and repair. Our excellent service company (Aqua Logic Pool Care) recommended Abe's for replacement tile on two different maintenance jobs over the years. We are eternally grateful! Abe's isn't a 'fancy' store. However it's most likely they will have exactly what you need. In both our cases they had the exact matches for both our (old!) ceramic water surface tiles, even those which have been cut-to-fit, and the fiberglass 1" squares underneath the surface. I'm sure Abe's does good work, however you'd have to ask someone other than me. They rarely answer their phone and when they finally do and schedule an appointment they do NOT show up or call! Don't even attempt. This company has been nothing but a headache for us. We had to call them to confirm that they were the company that would be coming by once a week to do our pool services. This is after a week or two of them not coming. After that, it seemed like everything was in line and they were coming every week as agreed. Then, we started running into issues again, we were having every other week to see why we had not been serviced and why nobody was making the appointment that was agreed-upon. Now, we are no longer able to get a hold of them via phone or email. Don't waste your time or money! Unless you want your pool to be completely neglected. My pool motor went out and instead of the usual rebuild, they said that the capacitor went out and the cost to repair was less than half of a rebuild. read more

Originally hired to clean our pool due to my husband's poor health. We quickly realized that we could never depend on their arrival. They wouldn't show, no phone call. Most of the cleaners that appeared looked of questionable character, unclean, etc. One was an 80 yr old man and his wife who had no business being out in this heat. Rarely was the same person sent. The pump was left on all day running into the premium hrs of APS. We had extremely high bills. But the real problems began with various pump leaks. Every time a leak was "fixed" it was not fixed and they had to be recalled. Promises were made to be here but then there was no show. At one time my original in-ground cleaning system was disabled by Abe's and flap filters were installed....with the statement that they were the latest and greatest. The pool was never clean again. The latest.....a part replaced on the pump near the sand filter for over $250 due to a leak which has continued to leak. Abe's was called to repair....it still leaked. We demanded that our original cleaning system (popups with balls) be replaced as the flaps were not working and that the pool part be repaired. Immediately after that repair, the pipes separated, flooding our whole yard and emptying the pool into the street. If personally visited Abe that day and was told that nothing could be done till Monday (This was Friday and in the middle of our current heat wave.). And he (Abe) would fix it. In the meantime, he gave me a gallon of bleach which he said would keep the pool from turning green. I am writing this one week after the repair drained the pool. The leak is not fixed. I have called and was promised the repairman would be there. My calls are not returned and we are left with a unfunctioning pool pump. I found Abe and his mechanic, Bob, to be very rude and condescending to women. And were very rude to my grown son who lives here and was trying to help us. My husband and I are elderly and cannot believe the lack of honesty, courtesy, and quality of work. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. It is not a pleasant experience. read more

So I don't write a lot of reviews and those that I do are generally when I receive bad customer service. With Abe's Pools, Spas and Fountains, I have received anything BUT poor customer service. I have been in 4 times in the last week as I attempted to repair a worn out Sand Filter and Slide Valve. This place has EVERYTHING. Even the stuff that has either been discontinued by the manufacturer or is so over priced at the big box retailers or even those online stores you may as well replace your whole filter/valve instead of replacing a simple part. Abe's seems to have it all. As far as customer service, this place is awesome. I watched Kim tear apart a multi-position valve just to show a customer how to replace a rubber gasket. She took apart my SwimQuip Backflow slide valve just to show me how to replace an o-ring so the shaft didn't leak. She replaced the ring, put everything back together, and didn't charge me a dime. Not bad for "just one of the office girls". I'll definitely go back to Abe's from now on. The big box stores can't compete with this place. read more

I've had nothing but excellent service from Abe's. Abe the owner makes sure he comes out to check out the problem before sending his technicians out to fix the issue. They are very quick with their service and the customer service is outstanding. I had a leak in my aerators and then a crack in my filter and Abe took care of both issues. Dustin did my filter and he was great at explaining what he was doing and how everything works. I will continue using Abe's Pool service and appreciate their outstanding business. read more

A diamond in the rough. Our 9000 gal pool turned green almost overnight. I called another pool company with high ratings and they estimated $300.00 if it didn't need sand changed in the filter that could be as much as $500.00. I called Abe's who came out and said all I needed was chemical treatment and a new pressure gauge on the filter that would be $15.00. He offered to show me how to do it myself to save money but I said I needed professional help. Abe's pool service did what was necessary and the pool came out beautifully with the cost being one half that of the competitor. I will go to them first with all my pool needs and questions. read more

I am surprised to see the bad reviews. I have been there 3 times and they could not of been more helpful or nicer. Twice I got chemicals and their prices were better than my old pool store. The other time they rebuilt our pool vac, good price again and it works like new. Also they gave me some good information on taking care of the pool. It looks like they have every part known to man for pool equipment repairs. It is not like a pool store, more like a fix it shop. But from what I can tell they have just about everything you could need for your pool. Having said that I don't think they have stuff like floaties or pool toys, but they might be in the back. read more

SHADY!!!!! got my $1700 on 6/4/15. Pool pipes still leaking!!! they told me to find someone else, I'm a trouble! I called couple of times for them to fix it!!! at first, they told me that they will not coming over No more without service fee!!!!, did came ones to fix it, couldn't find no leakage! I had to get dirty and find them a leak !!! finally I call they again for same reason ( leak in other pipe), but they become very rude to me , after I asked them to give me receipt, they refused !!!!!! I had to call the cops . then they did write the one receipt for$ 875( forgot about $900!!!), after cop mention that $900, they did give me second one( owner , but he put the wrong date on it 6/8/15 (today it 7/23/15)) What a scam!! read more

Used them for a year to keep fixing up the 4 wheel pool vac they sold us. The vac worked fine when it was repaired, after the 4th trip to repair at $200+ each time we decided, enough and asked to buy a new one. (Should of got from Amazon), Abe said it would be in the next day and would give us a credit off for the old vac, so we left it, without any receipt, hadn't had a problem before but, after taking part of the next day off to p/u he said it would be 2 wks as a delivery problem from Gilbert, 2 wks of manual pool cleaning later, called, he was not available, said he would call back, no call after 2 days, called again, same story. Now about 3 wks since we dropped off, we requested just to go pick up our old vac, next day called before going and they said it would be at front desk. Went in 15 min later, John said he didnt take the call and that Abe was out, no vacuum. They pulled the old "no receipt" scam on us. This is BS. He had gotten all the $ out of us he was gonna get and now just decided to screw us and sold our old vac to someone else, whos gonna go thru the same thing. If you have to sell defective items that break down in 3 mos to keep your revenue coming in, you need to get a new business. Ridiculous. read more
