The attention to detail and the quality of the recipes were impressive. The food was delicious, and the staff, particularly the owner Farinaz, made us feel welcome. We sampled several dishes and liked each one except the koobideh kebab, which resembled meatballs rather than authentic koobideh. Seems the signature of Persian food needs improvement here.

I arrived very hungry so I ordered more appetizers than I usually do and this was the best choice I made that night. The hummus and Persian fries were unique, exceptional, and massive serving sizes. Relatively to these, the entrees were kind of disappointing. The koobideh kebab came with only 1 skewer despite every other Persian restaurant around serving 2 for that price or less. The cherry rice and kebab were also light on flavor. I would go back to explore more of the menu, and definitely keep getting the appetizers.

Having tried Toranj, I was excited to visit Perse with some of my friends. The ambiance is lovely, and staff were kind. I would say that the food was delicious and beautifully presented but overpriced. We ordered the fresh barbari ($8), sabzi spread ($18), smoked eggplant and whey ($20), green goddess salad ($20), koobideh ($33), fesenjoon ($48), gormeh sabzi ($48), smoked saffron tahdig ($18), and saffron rice cake ($22). For drinks, I tried the saffron and rosewater sharbat ($12), sparkling willow and blossom ($10), and barberry elixire ($12). I would not order the sabzi spread (expensive, underwhelming), gormeh sabzi (my friend felt it was prepared differently compared to what she was used to, would trade for another dish), green goddess salad (good but nothing special), or barberry elixire (unique but too tart without much other complexity for my palette) again. To be honest, I think the star of the show here was the mocktail menu! I hope that they'll consider increasing the portion sizes or reducing the prices for some dishes, as I would walk here more often if it didn't feel like such a stretch on the wallet!

I had the opportunity to work with Perse Restaurant before their opening, helping them with photography and videography. As you can imagine, after the shoot we got to try the food, and even then (some of it slightly cold), it was honestly really impressive. After they opened, I recommended the place to some friends and family. A few had mixed opinions, so I decided to come back myself after a couple of months to experience it as a regular guest. I'm really glad I did, everything was noticeably better. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The quality, taste, and presentation were all on point. The drinks were also amazing. What stood out the most was the service, the staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The ambiance and design of the space also add a really nice touch to the overall experience. It's clear they've improved and put effort into the details. Definitely worth checking out.

A Persian Gem That's Chic, Lively, and Seriously Delicious We decided to try Perse for Valentine's Day, and I'm so glad we did -- this place is an absolute new Persian gem in Brentwood. From the moment you walk in, the ambience is immediately impressive: modern, chic, lively, and upscale in a way that's honestly rare for Persian restaurants. It feels like a spot you'd take someone to celebrate -- date night, anniversary, birthday... or just because you want to eat really well and feel fancy while doing it. One of my favorite touches: the owner personally greets guests, makes you feel genuinely welcomed, and even introduces the chef. That kind of hospitality is special -- and it sets the tone that Perse is not just another restaurant, it's an experience. Cocktails: Persian-Inspired and Perfectly Done We started with drinks and Perse's cocktail menu deserves real credit -- creative, balanced, and actually strong (in the best way). We tried: * Anar -- a Persian tequila cocktail with pomegranate and sumac * Persian Old Fashioned -- with a subtle touch of cardamom tea * Whiskey Sour -- with a touch of sour cherry (albaloo) syrup * Zan -- made with orange liqueur, lime, lychee, and hibiscus Every single drink was great, but the Anar was my favorite -- bold, delicious, and the kind of cocktail you keep thinking about the next day. Appetizers: Don't Skip These We started with a few appetizers and they were honestly all excellent. * Salad -- fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced * Samosa -- crispy, flavorful, and addictive * Persian French fries -- yes, Persian fries... and they were AMAZING. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and served with a yogurt dip that I could honestly eat with a spoon. * Brussels sprouts -- crispy, flavorful, and topped with pomegranate, which somehow made them feel both elegant and irresistible. And the sauces overall... wow. So tasty that we were basically using them on everything like it was our job. The Food: Persian Cuisine with a Touch of French "Oh Là Là" And then the food came... and wow. This is Persian food done with a level of care and elegance that feels almost Michelin-inspired. Honestly, Cyrus the Great and Michelin would both be proud. It's classic Persian flavor, but elevated -- like Persian cuisine got dressed up for a night out in Brentwood. We ordered: * Fesenjoon -- rich, perfectly balanced, and deeply flavorful * Lamb chops -- tender, juicy, and cooked beautifully * Tahchin with chicken -- golden, crispy, and absolutely addictive * Smoky basmati rice -- fragrant and unforgettable Everything had this subtle, elegant touch of pomegranate throughout that made it feel special without being overwhelming. Dessert: Tehranmisu (Yes, You Need It) We were completely full -- but we had to try dessert, and thank goodness we did. Tehranmisu was to die for. A Persian twist on tiramisu that was creamy, rich, perfectly sweet, and honestly one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Final Thoughts Perse is a rare combination: amazing Persian food, elevated presentation, great cocktails, chic atmosphere, and real hospitality. It made me proud as a Persian to see our cuisine represented this beautifully -- modern, exciting, and done at a high level. If you're looking for a new date-night spot in Brentwood (or just want an incredible meal), Perse is absolutely worth it. Pro tip: Get the Anar, order the tahchin, and do not leave without the Tehranmisu.

Went there for a birthday lunch and everything was an experience. Definitely will be back soon.

This is such an amazing place!! Great vibe! Great staff everyone, is so welcoming and kind! They have such amazing choices of Persian inspired fine dine cuisine, great selection of starters and main dishes. My ultimate favorite dish was the lamb chops medium rare, very delicious! I evidently had everything with a glass of beer. And to top it all off I had the chocolate bibi cake and it was super bomb! I love chocolate, it was so good! Definitely give this a 5 star rating! Totally recommend you to try it if you're contemplating it

An amazing Persian food restaurant in west side. The vibe, decoration and atmosphere is next level. The food is super tasty and well designed. It's not like your normal Persian food as it comes both in good taste and style. Drinks are super and yummy. Service is great. Will definitely come back for more, highly recommended.

Finally, a Persian restaurant in L.A. that treats our cuisine with the elegance it deserves. Perse brings refined Persian flavors into a beautiful, modern space. Long overdue. And don't leave without trying the Tahchin. The cocktails created by owner FariNaz and the brilliant bartender Snowy, are their own little works of art, blending Persian inspiration with stunning presentation.

Lollipop Lamb Chops

I came here with my folks and it was pretty good. We really circled the menu and ordered a bunch but it just didn't hit like I hoped it would. The flavors weren't punchy and we all found the food bland. The service however was amazing and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I do Love their other restaurant, Toranj though. Took photos of the shirazi, lollipop lamb chops which are the best thing and the smoked eggplant.

I'd feel very comfortable recommending Perse to someone going for the first time. It has a polished look and feel, but it doesn't create the kind of pressure some upscale restaurants do. We ordered Boneless Chicken Kabob, Anar, and Fresh Barbari, and the meal gave a really strong first impression in both presentation and overall flow. The atmosphere helps the restaurant feel memorable right away. That makes it a very easy place to recommend. Whether someone is new to Persian food, new to the area, or just looking for a refined dinner spot in Brentwood, Perse offers an experience that feels approachable while still being elevated. It leaves a strong impression without trying too hard.

Turmeric Braised Chicken - The dish was a bit on the basic end, not a lot of seasoning but you could taste the tumeric. Chicken was tender but slightly on the drier side which was a bit surprising considering it was dark meat (6.5/10) Kofteh Tabrizi - The tomato taste was prominent in the broth but the meatball itself was overly salty. The flavor was one note, I can't see myself ordering this again as I've heard this dish should have more complex flavors so I was disappointed (5.5/10) Kotlet Plate - As you can see from my picture, the kotlet was burnt beyond repair and I could taste the bitterness from the overused oil they used to fry it. I did like the yogurt spread and the pickles that came with it but I did not like the kotlet at all. We didn't bother asking them to replace it (4/10) Mirza Ghasemi w/ Barbari bread - The star of this whole experience was the Mirza Ghasemi, the roasted eggplant and tomato spread came cold and it was the most delicious thing we had. One of my friends vacuumed it right up before the rest of us could have seconds. Bread was a bit dry but it was a great vehicle for the Mirza (8.5/10) Lamb Gheimeh - Lamb was tender and it had some nice spices infused in there but it didn't wow me in any way (7/10) Sholezard - Our waitress brought over some complimentary Ceylon tea with the Sholezard which was kind. This rice dessert was not too sweet. The warmth and saffron ended our meal in a comforting way. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't get it again (7/10) +1 star for the service

The beef koobideh and beef barg were not just disappointing they were concerning. The meat tasted off, like it was either going bad or being mixed with old product. That's not a small issue, that's a serious quality and food safety concern. The Shirazi salad has completely lost its authenticity. Instead of the fresh, bright lime/lemon flavor it should have, it tasted like it was tossed in a bottled dressing. Completely unacceptable for a place that used to do this right. The hummus came with bread that was stale and hard, which just adds to the overall lack of care coming out of the kitchen. And then the pricing charging extra for rice and Shirazi salad on top of already $28 plates is excessive and feels like nickel-and-diming customers. It's honestly disappointing to see how far this place has fallen. Between the drop in food quality, lack of freshness, and inflated pricing, I won't be returning.

Unfortunately, I will not be coming back. My family and I went here one afternoon and as we sat down, the attendant from the restaurant told us that the specific table we were sitting on wasn't part of the restaurant and we were not going to be served if we sat there in a very rude tone. We went ahead and moved. Then we went up to the cashier to order our food and the two people that were there were busy talking to each other in farsi about a customer that just came and didn't tip along with some very vulgar language. Then as we were ordering, we told them it was our first time and we got no smile or anything, very still faces like whatever. We ordered two Koobideh wraps and a few other things. It was very uncomfortable. The Cashier didn't even speak to us. As we sat down we were "served" after we HAD to ask if we get bread and onions and water because we saw that they were taking those things to other tables. The Koobideh wrap tasted like Rubber and you could barely hold it together as it was drenched with the sauce and all soggy. Even my 1 year old wouldn't eat it. We had to open up the sandwiches and eat them with a fork. It was not a good experience. Tip for the owner: You should probably remind your employees that some of your customers are Persian and they will understand them talking shit.
