There's not a lot of Persian/Iranian food in Portland so when I saw this cart pop up on Yelp I knew I had to give it a shot. I ordered the beef kubideh (ground beef kabab) with chelow rice. It also came with a slice of lemon, pat of butter, and a tiny salad and a little bit of yogurt sauce. The rice was more kateh than the advertised chelow (a little cakey, basically). The kubideh itself was pretty good! Based on food alone I'd give this place 4 stars but the prices are ridiculously low for Iranian food. $10 for two skewers of kebab plus rice/salad/yogurt would normally run you $14 or even more. So I think for the price and the convenience (especially since the Other Iranian Kabob Cart left downtown for N Mississippi) this place deserves the full 5. read more

The lamb was tender, and moist - and seasoned just right. Served with salad on a bed of rice, it was also a generous portion. I had enough for 2 meals. The chicken was just as tender and moist, also seasoned perfectly. I really appreciated the smiles, and warmth from what I can only guess is a husband and wife. Food is pretty good. This review is for lack of communication. Ordered at 6:27pm via Grubhub and the order was pending for 35 minutes until I finally called Grubhub and they said the order couldn't be fulfilled because it was rejected by the restaurant. Your cart says it's open until 7pm. If you can't fulfill the order prior to your closing time then update your hours and more importantly update the person who is waiting for their order and who just paid 40 bucks for your food. read more

This place is very generous with the amount of meat that they give. The flavor is above average. My only issue is that my wife and I both got an upset stomach from this, it seemed slightly undercooked. I have eaten a lot of Persian food in Los Angeles, and they usually cook the meat more well done than this was. I just order food from this place for the first time. I heard great reviews, so I thought I'd take a chance. I ordered a chicken breast kabab. The food looked nothing like the picture. I got a cabbage salad with pico de gallo instead of what I thought was going to be a garden-like salad. The chicken was rubbery and pale, not grilled. It was disgusting.
